First off...backing out to menu..then spawning where you want to go...is by far the easiest...cheapest way to move around So what's the point of fast travel in the actual game ...it's kind of expensive and useless My issue is now that I have a fast travel post at my camp ...which that dbag cripps keeps pulling.. is that traveling back to camp is like 15 dollars ! Yet a stones throw away to the nearest in game post..is like 6 dollars ... wtf is that about? Anyway ... I think either..remove fast travel all together from the game and make the menu back out spawn in more places Or these rates need overhauled Like...depending in point a to point b..on cost .. 1 dollar or 2 from territory to the nearest territory ..or like 4 from one end of the map or the other.. You have to pay to go anywhere ......and still 15 bucks to travel to your camp . If even travelling to your camp was free I might entertain the idea of forking over the cash but the way it is now it's a bad choice and I'm staying away . I wouldn't want to see the cost become as trivially low as you suggest. Definitely needs work when it comes to the camp's fast travel post though. Trips from camp to wherever should be free and trips to camp from wherever should use the same distance-based price model we already have for all the other posts. Vice Beach Posted February 12, 2019 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I use it mainly to spawn into a session where the majority of players would be on the opposite side of the map to where I want to be, for example spawning into a Saint Denis session then fast traveling to New Austin so I have it mostly all to myself. So I would use fast travel post to avoid changing sessions. If I'm playing with someone in free roam in posse, I wouldn't want us all to change session. So fast travel is nice. If I'm stranded somewhere where town or fast travel post is too far away, I would sometimes go to camp settings and request one near me. So I can use my camp's fast travel post to go somewhere. Now that's nice as well. And I'm literally swimming in money with over 260.00+ gold and $28,000.00+. So I don't care how it costs. As long as I get there instantly. If cripps just left it alone where I want it to be too..maybe it wouldn't seem as bad. I like to move my camp and play in a certain area week to week. 4eyedcoupe Posted February 12, 2019 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I use it all of the time, cost hasn't been an issue for the most part, but I do think $15 to travel to camp is ridiculous so I have never traveled to camp(even though I would like too). I also won't pay for the fast travel at camp because it's too expensive, I'd rather ride to the nearest post and shoot some varmints on the way. If it’s far or if I don’t feel like riding I check the route to see if there’s any people ahead and then I enter cinematic and pick up my phone to browse for a bit. I even do that if there are people on the way, I’ll hear if someone starts shooting and I have Never Without One so I can risk a bullet. Sometimes I fast travel, but almost never to camp. I agree that $15 to camp is too much (should be based on distance) and I agree that if you’ve bought the fast travel post you should fast travel from camp for free. Max $5 across the map. Camp fast travel should be free, since it was purchased. Train travel should cover all stops available by rail. It's like there's EU and US servers. I'm not saying there are, it's like that. So if you are in EU free roam and you join someone in US free roam. You've landed on US servers. So if you matchmake for showdown. You'll land in US showdown. If you back out of US showdown, you'll land in US free roam. If you restart your game or get disconnected or change sessions, you'll land back to EU free roam / showdown.
