v1.00 advantages?

In 1.06 if a train hits your horse it's no longer instant kill, the health starts to degrade like when it hits Arthur, unless it's a very hard hit or something... Tested by myself.

If I don't eat before saving, when I reload my weight goes down.

 

At least I can still do it reliably

, weight isn't an issue for me at all in 1.00. It works perfectly for me.

It's worked the way I described for me since I downgraded.  Sometimes I can lose or gain a lot of weight after reloading, it's like the game doesn't catch up until I load my file.  On the plus side my weight remains consistent throughout a play session, so I don't have to worry about randomly losing weight because I didn't eat after setting up camp or whatever

Is it just me or does the rain seem better in the latest patch? Like it's not cutting out and is pretty consistent

Ahhh, 1.0 is so refreshing! I'm slowly closing in on the New Austin glitch!

Playing the 1.00 version in chapter 2 with a full length beard and valentine seems much more lively, they really f*cked with the game with those sh*tty updates.

So after we downgrade to the first patch. Do we have to start all the way over from the start of the story and will my saved data still show up when we load up the game in the 1.00 version?

i downgraded with gta v and all my saves stayed should be the same for rdr2, i have not tried it yet so take this with a grain of salt or ask darealbandicoot

You do not have to start all over again, you can use the same save.

I did it yesterday and my save with John loaded just fine.

Any way to downgrade to patch 1.01 or 1.02? It was probably the time where the game was perfect.

No. Only the version of DVD can be installed. I mean the 1.0. For me (on XBox One X) the 1.0 is the best version.

Yes and no. There is a program which can downgrade the game to version 1.00 if you have a digital copy on PS4 and it has a chance to go to version 1.02. The reviewer only 1.01 patch has been COMPLETELY wiped from the servers on both consoles and that was probably when the game was perfect with any bugs In 1.00 fixed by it since reviewers would score otherwise. 1.02 was when the downgrades began. 

 

And do you know what's funny? Version 1.01 patch was 3.7GB BUT the "day one" 1.02 patch was 3.3GB.

1.01 was apparently removed from the servers; if your game is digital you can get the 1.02 but you will need the link for it (this is related to the pogram used to downgrade digital games).

 

In any case if you want the perfect version I would say go for the unpatched game, the 1.00.

 

I can send you a PM if you want to do it, that is if you have the game in digital.

I know about the US Marshal's but these are actual Pinkertons this time just like the ones in Blackwater. Before going to 1.00 it used to be US Marshal's that were normal.

Yep. When you go to loot them it says Pinkerton and they all have Pinkerton Detective Agency badges and uniforms.

I was messing around with the Angelo Bronte glitch, and ended up disabling it (by replaying another mission),  but it seems there's no warning shots when trying to cross into New Austin as Arthur,  you simply die instantly upon setting foot in the region.
