v1.00 advantages?

Recommended Posts

I think that Version 1.00, even though it's the best looking version of RDR2, it uses a very strong anti-aliasing, the most recent versions are less dependant of it, which was fine until they decided to completely remove it with Patch 1.31, from the Xbox One Fat/S version at least.

I used to follow this topic but haven't paid much attention recently or followed recent updates, im looking to do a new playthrough of red dead 2 soon and wondered how the game in its current state compare to V1.0? Anyone know if the 'downgrades' and apparent glitches have been fixed? I've done 2 playthrough on V1.0 and enjoyed it however did have invisible rain and very fuzzy clouds, so thinking of playing the patched game if its in a decent state?

I wasn't planning on posting here on RDR2's section again since I already stopped playing it, but to save you from the trouble, the invisible rain bug happens in every version of the game, even in the most recent one, and the fuzzy clouds is a result of the volumetric clouds being a recent technology and not having a proper anti-aliasing for it yet, needless to say it also happens in the most recent version, so you're better off sticking with Version 1.00.

Anyone know if saves from recent patch work on V1.0? I'm half way through chapter 2 and thinking of deleting and installing offline to go back to V1.0 but don't want to loose my progress, can I do this and when installing the game will my saves still be there and work? Playing on xbox series x

They do not, unfortunately.

Uff I was about 81 percent done with my first and only play through since day of release. My hard drive needed to be reset and it deleted my offline save in the reboot. Years and years gone to sh*te. This as also v1 save. There any way I could recover that if I take the HD to a specialist. I really don’t wanna start a new game.
