Ambient Occlusion has been fixed with the newest update. 

 

Its not quite as thick as it is in 1.00, but it has been upgraded very close. Will take some screens of the Saint Denis Tramway amongst a few other things and upload them here in a bit.

I don't get it, I just go to start the game like normal and delete the update when it starts downloading, I'm not getting any errors, just checked again

Paranoid now about going online on my Xbox just in case there's some weird block on the game that becomes active once I go online. I don't know how they would do that but my hysterical paranoia is real!

I can confirm that i can play 1.00 version normally i just have to always disconnect from internet before starting the game or even putting the disc into console.

My disc is always in the console, and my internet is always connected (i use the PS4 for hulu)

I tried that but it didn't work. Maybe it only affect UK/European/Australian copies?

Xbox is fine from what I heard from friends. Only PS4 is affected so far

and it didn't start automatically download update ? i always disconnect from internet before putting the RDR2 disc into console. I connect to internet when i eject RDR2 disc restart console and then put different game. Then at the end with new disc inside i connect with interent.

It automatically starts to download the update when I start the application, then when the splash screen goes away and I get the screen with the shotgun I hit the PS button, go to my notifications, cancel and delete the download, make sure it doesn't restart, then double tap the ps button to return to the title screen

thanks to my tips it won't even start to downolad the update just disconnect the internet before putting RDR disc into PS4 and always play single player offline without internet connection. If you end the game eject RDR2 disc, put different disc, restart console then connect to the internet to play differnt games online.

I get that, it's less tedious for me my way

 

I don't even get how this update works. Wouldn't Sony have to release an update to force me to update? Nothing has changed on my end since yesterday, so I'm not surprised I can still play on 1.00, I'm surprised you guys can't.
