v1.00 advantages?

The perfomance on 1.00 is absolutely fine though, atleast on X1X. I recall not being happy with Ps4 version on release though. Lag everywhere, especially when entering a town and St.Denis especially.

 

My only issue with the Xbox version was the damn scout jacket glitch. Why God why.

I’m on a launch day OG Xbone, so no matter what I’m going to get lag on every patch. That being said, V1.00 is still so much better looking & lively, even at.... 864p. The fact that I can see the difference on a dinosaur of a console is telling tbh. Rockstar should be held accountable but they won’t be.

the bandwagon has been in full force the past week, I’m assuming because of the update coming soon. it’s strange.

I’ve had an issue with guns disappearing, specifically two from the Gunslinger quest with Calloway. I also had the invisible Arthur glitch, but only after breaking my game by saving with too many cheats. Otherwise, I can’t think of anything else. it’s more minor annoyances (the weapon wheel, can’t feed horse while moving etc) than anything else.

Check Rockstar's previous patch notes, it says they fixed a couple of game breaking bugs, not sure what specifically,  something to do with missions

Agreed. I first got the game for my base PS4 and the Saint Denis was pretty much unplayable to me, Valentine was bad as well

Then I bought the One X and wow, its like night and day really. Still lags now and again though, especially when things get hectic and something is on fire

The performance is fine for me on the orginal xbox one also

I think it was Polite Society Valentine style, whereby if you restart from checkpoint then there will be missing gang members in camp. The workaround for this would be to restart mission as opposed to restart checkpoint.

Guys I just Played the v1.00 and the difference is obvious. The game is very beautiful, the graphics are Trailer/Screenshots like almost close to real life. I thought i would have the same experience playing the patched latest versions but I had a totally way better experience with v1.00 Highley recommened to all the players that are already Bored with the game. Going back to this version brought back that excitement.

Quick list of Changes/Downgrades 1.00 vs 1.07 as far as I can tell

 

in 1.07

- Godrays have been toned down (in 1.00 the little handheld oil lamp is casting godrays around arthur)

- Particle effects have been toned down

- AO is almost gone

- Animal hides aren't quite as fluffy

- Framerate has improved for what its worth

- The controlls are snappier and more arcady

You’ll be fine if it’s a pre-epilogue save. any file as John seems to get stuck in an infinite loop.

PS4.

Your fine if your on PS4. You can back up your saves to a memory stick or the cloud if you want.

PS4 is fine. That only happens on Xbox One due to some sort of DRM

The controls are exactly the same though 

 

Also framerate is pretty much the same, maybe 1-2 fps better but that's all AND the enhanced consoles didn't have framerate problems anyways (Besides PS4 pro in its fake 4K mode otherwise its solid)

Never. I played both version 2 hours apart. The very first thing i noticed was how sluggish arthur was moving in 1.00. which i prefer btw.  over the months playing 1.05-7 i thought i was  going crazy for feeling as if there was no more weight and tactility behind arthur's movements.

yes, i checked twice. Chekc it out if you have the opportunity.

 

If you ever played the old gta 5 builds  on console youd probably know what i mean. GTA 5 Singelplayer even back then had slightly altered controls as opposed to online. These were a lot of minor things like running at full speed was just pressing X online, as opposed to tapping in singleplayer  or you were able to navigate the phone faster, climbing was faster even the cars were slightly easier to drive online etc  but add them all up and the game just plays a little bit more arcady, as a multiplayer should probably. I register the same difference (even in regards to the graphics?!?) with 1.00 to 1.07. 

 

If I had to guess, there was a consorted effort being made to level RdR2's Single and Multiplayer experience with the recent patches. Might be due to technical reasons

1. Game Mode?

2. "Snappier" is an excellent way to put it. 

3. the R* controls a little strange indeed xD but sadly still better the most 3rd person shooters 🤷‍♀️

I also found that the controls on horseback and on foot with the updates were always arcadiger. Rockstar tries a balancing act between role play and action play. I'm more of a fan of games like kingdome come deliverance and not an arcade fan. What annoys me is that the game handles the motion control on some missions. And also the slow going in the camp annoys me tremendously.

I had a problem with the progression in the "Red Dead Redemption" mission when Sadie goes for Milton and you snipe the way ahead of her, the npc's wouldn't spawn so Sadie was just stuck and me too... Had to retry like 10 times till it worked, it was really frustrating

Weird, I only had an issue with the mission "The sheep and the goats" where the herd of sheep would freeze at the train station and you can do whatever you want and not fail the mission.

 

Also, getting arrested in Valentine softlocks the game.

Ok, just reverted to V1.00 on PS4 Pro.

 

Immediately noticed a dip in framerate in some areas. Graphics are indeed much prettier indoors, not so flat and off-putting as 1.07. Also, not a big thing but I noticed they moved the wardrobe location in the Valentine hotel from the mirror to the dresser. I prefer by the mirror, tbh.

I also noticed fps dip in Strawberry unfortunately, and that is Xbox. Going to wait for PC release to do my 2nd playthrough....not really impressed by Rockstars efforts post release to be perfectly honest.
