v1.00 advantages?

they won't delete his hair because 1899 (npc) John has it, so in that case they would have to change it to one of Arthur's hair models, or something else, and I'm sure they won't touch npc John.. also, some other npcs has the same haircut, so modders just need to take it from them and put on the hair model. it's not so hard, we just need openiv and 3dsmax support.

For the player though it might be disabled. For example the game doesn't let the player play as anyone else besides Arthur or Playable John no matter what. They also completely disabled the scalp for the player with patches so why not the hair? 

 

On PC it will definitely be possible but consoles are sh*t out of luck I'm afraid unless a miracle happens.

they need to pull the stick out of their ass and just add the f*cking hair lmao it’d be so easy. but instead they are f*cking over single player AND online, not even the online players are happy lol fuuuuuck rockstar

of course it's disabled, it's not in the menu and AFAIK no one successfully spawned it through some glitch, and I believe no one will (reason in my next paragraph).

 

regarding playing with other characters, I know this is done via save editor and it makes sense that we can only play with protagonists, and also swap npcs only with another npcs..

this is the main reason why I believe 1899 John's files are not in protagonists folder, so he could be just another well detailed npc, with his ingame and cutscene model. 

 

this won't be problem on pc, because trainer doesn't have limitations save editor has. we would easily be able to spawn 1899 John in game instead of epilogue John or Arthur. but that's not the ideal thing.

what would be ideal is to copy his hair and outfits from npc model and add them to playable model, spawn them via trainer and save as custom outfits. this should work well. also, most of his stuff you can already wear, but with different texture variants (the only exeption being closed western coat, a sweater he wears in chapter one, and his yellow vest), so we just need to copy texture variants of these, or replace some we don't like. replacing would be easier, as in that case we could access them through menu, but adding should work as well, because we could just spawn them via trainer and save them as custom outfits.. this method will work to get other outfits we cannot access, like Whittmore suit, suit Arthur used when he visits Angelo Bronte, lawman outfit, Arthur's closed winter coat etc.

Actually I think Jedijosh pointed out that he found that John's hash is the exact same as npc John, thus making protagonist John able to wear all the npc outfits, aswell as the hair. I might be wrong tho, I just think someone pointed it out

well, I believe he said he couldn't spawn npc John's stuff instead of epilogue John, and he successfully spawned it instead of Abigail, which basically proves my point.. I never cared how hashes work, what I do care is where the files are stored, and so far we cannot know anything about files, so this is still guessing based on how they handled gta v and gta iv on pc.

 

but there's one sole reason why I'm still not 100% sure on my theory and it's in this video https://youtu.be/Fink6VEqr4Y?t=115

around 1:55 we can see John wears pants from a flashback scene from a mission "A new Jerusalem", in which he also has his og hair. this might be one of "npc stuff", as these pants clips through his legs, so maybe npc stuff are indeed in the same folder as protagonists stuff..

but also, there's posibility only these pants are in protagonists model and that flashback scene was pre-rendered (just a video) which was made around the time John stil did has his hair, just like with pre-release screenshots.

NPC John has the exact same model as playable John and playable John can wear NPC Johns outfits. You can see this at his wedding he wears his saint denis bank outfit which works perfectly fine. @jedijosh920 can explain further since hes a wizard with ths stuff.

New dissappointmets about 1.00 version.

 

Inside the tent you couldn't read your diary. Very frustraiting.

 

Also was funny bug in valentine. I just walking around and there are was a lot of people and suddenly many NPCs have just dissappeared. Very frustraiting too.

It also annoys me that every time I want to close the diary you automatically stand up, I already gave up with version 1.00 I been playing the patched version for a while and it's not that bad well at least for me.

No, it was the 1.03 patch, the Online update in late November. We've been through this on this very thread at least twice.
 


The graphical downgrade, especially the AO, was downgraded in patch v1.0.3. I play on 1.0.2 right now and have been since launch, and I clearly have the better graphics.

Or perhaps the threads at the time we started talking about these downgrades, months before it became news on gaming sites? Clearly NOT. I've played on 1.00, 1.0.2. and 1.0.3, I know what I'm talking about and have posted the proof in this thread and so have others, in this thread and other threads.

I'm sure someone like Darealbandicoot will vouch for what I'm saying, not that I need validating.

I have hundreds of screenshots taken from 1.02 through 1.06 and when I compare to my 1.0 screenshots, I can clearly see a difference. The day one patch-1.6 are very blurry, and the textures aren't as good. It was downgraded in 1.2 period.
