1.00 is much more mod friendly since Rockstar added "Anti corruption measures" that purposely f*ck up your game in various ways in patches past 1.02.

Hi all! I read the whole topic when i found link on this in google. Guys, i am glad that someone really see the difference beetwen updates and that patches are just downgrade the actual singleplayer in RDR2.

 

I bought RDR 2 on release at October at my PS4 pro and was very dissapointed by the graphics. Anyway, i spent about 50 hours in that game and not even finish 2nd chapter ( i just like doing other activities not active to finish the plot yet). Then I've seen a lot of analysis between one X version and I was really ready to buy xbox one x for this game. Because such enormous and amazing detailed game are deserved to be played in the best quality.

 

Finally I bought One X with the disk version of RDR2. And I disconnected the internet from one X and just installed the game. Because i've seen a lot of threads about new patch and killing AO.

 

On ps4 pro i stopped played at pacth 1,02

 

Now i want to say about some issues in the original 1.0 version from the disk. I'm telling about one X version. Just one concern is strange behavior of the ducks in the water. Someone see that too? They like lagging in the pond or in the river, but when they flying or just sit on the ground everything is alright. So this a little issue that i saw. 

 

p.s. Also wanna ask...If i wiil connect my one X to the internet just to donwnload screens from the game to my OneDrive, my console will update RDR 2 immediately? Or i can prevent that from happening? Just wanna to donwload some pictures without being updated.

 

And also i want to say that it is sad that Grizzly outfit doesn't come with Xbox disk version. I read that it was released 30 days after on Xbox, so for this outfit i need definetely download the patch and i don't wanna do that. Is there is a way to download grizzlies outfit somehow without other patches?

you can turn your xbox back online as long as you have auto updates turned off

You have to mod your save file. it f*cks it up by either: 

. Corrupting your save file 

. Making it unmodable

. Turning you into a bug eyed John Marston 

. Deleting all your outfits except whatever you were wearing 

etc.

Thanks for answers. So if auto update off i can easily use xbox online and just do not switch RDR 2 disk.

 

Anyway, only i have an issue with lagging ducks in the water in 1.0 version (xbox one x) ?

Maybe. They are completely absent no matter what currently.

I haven't been to Saint Denis in a long while but the trolleys actually have the P.U.R.R. logo. Maybe you have the cornwall design because you mess with the save files or something

i don’t have the duck problem, and yeah if you keep auto updates off red dead wont update unless u make it and u will be able to be online too

Nah. Even on non modded saves Cornwall trams are there.

I've gotten the trams to spawn in 1.07. I slept in Saint Denis for a few days and they finally appeared all over town.

Don't know if this happens in the patched version, but I just participated in the theatre show where you shoot the bullet catcher.

Now all I have for the Cattleman is regular ammo

Tried to swap with another one I found and it's the same with that too.

The game still knows you have Express/HighVel still but it doesn't show in the weapon wheel anymore

Another couple of changes. In 1.00 Uncles horse in the Epilogue doesn't have facial hair and Sadie's horse will 90% of the time be her 1899 horse instead of her 1907 horse.

It is bad if only i so unlucky to have ducks problem in 1.00. Maybe i will record a video or make a gif soon about that problem

I have the same issue with the ducks, its pretty annoying - but not near as much as Arthurs beard-glitch

These little things they fixed with the day one patch. If only they left John alone it would have been almost perfect

Cannot believe the difference going back to 1.0 makes. The colors, the foliage, the trees, the textures, the lighting, the sharpness, the character detail - They seriously f*cked this game up post-1.0. People who think it is a 'small' difference are clearly not playing it, and only looking at some screenshots, thinking it's only AO that has been removed. This is of course anecdotal, but i've been playing 1.0 for a few weeks now, i'm in chapter 3, and already I've seen and heard many things I never did in my first 2 and a half playthroughs on 1.2 through 1.6. I don't think it's just a coincidence, because I did more exploring on my prior playthroughs. Anyone else experienced this? I can't be the only one.

Arthur’s standard bandolier is non-existent in V1.00 for me. I can only get the black one at the gunsmith & the ones at the trapper.

Yep. This is exactly the reason why I say RDR2 should be disqualified from winning GOTY. The actor nominations can stay of course but a downgraded product that is buggy as f*ck after the reviews are all in and misleading you with pretty screenshots and trailers touting their reviews, Scummy is the only word for it.

they know everyone wants to play singleplayer but they want people to play online to support their scammy business model, f*ck em, I'm selling the game first thing after the spring update comes out if it doesn't fix John's hair atleast, I've got my achievements, played everything I could in singleplayer, this game is over for me (I still play it tho for the euphoria physics only xdd)

I think we'll be disappointed. Single player hasn't been mentioned at all to be getting any love other than that prominent characters from single player are coming to Red Dead Online. Plus they ignore the downgrade claims and force feed us Red Dead Online sh*t. Only hope is the PC version.
