Survival missions? How to start?

Ok, i'm Rank20 now and the Survival missions are still not available. they're not on the map, no calls from Ron, no 'R' or 'T' on the map, not on the jobs list in the menu, its greyed out saying I havent unlocked survival yet. When/how do they start? did Rockstar change it? its been a couple years since I played online...

Isn't Trevor supposed to contact you at like rank 16? See if your map blips are hidden, I think you access that through the interaction menu.

This is also happened to me back in the early days, i'm rank 45 back then and there are no notifications whatsoever, and then when i'm just fooling around driving cars in freeroam, out of nowhere, ron just called me about the 1st survival the industrial plant, i know it's weird but sometimes you just have to wait for the notifications in FR

yea, i did reveal the map blips via interaction menu (didnt even realize that) but the survivals still arent showing up

Just wait for a moment in FR, eventually ron will call you up about a mess in industrial plant the 1st survival

Make sure there are no active activities or events running in freemode (best to go in an Invite Only session and wait for the call).

finally got em unlocked. some random player had an invite to one and it unlocked them. thanks everyone
