People have been waiting years for this game (it was penciled in for a PSX release) and also people want to see/play Vice's game nemesis. Icarus Posted April 12, 2003 Share Posted April 12, 2003 Vice is the best game of them all, you can do whatever you want when you want. The Getaway kind of isn't like that and it's not too bad, but I prefer Vice over that any day. What I like about Vice and the Getaway was they really captured the era, Vice captured the 80's (definitely the clothing) and the Getaway captured London! S'all good! I've completed The Getaway, just for the hell of it. Not that hard It was a very realistic experience, with some very bad gameplay involved. Bad control setup and just as bad anumations. Trunks21 Posted April 12, 2003 Share Posted April 12, 2003 Although Vice is better I like the getaway I have both and wouldn't trade one for the other the reason it is ahead is because of sales what I mean is GTA3 wasn't being anticipated because 1 and 2 were horrible so it gradually sold but since it was good it gave VC hype so it sales skyrocketed as said 1 mil copies a day so everyone has it now and it is slumping BECAUSE ever already has it but it will return to the top you'll see Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Vice for all the freedom to roam the streets doing what ever you like, and TG for realism. I live in London and its nice to bomb it down the street going past all my local shops in a computer game. The realism in TG is great, and the fact that its in london is cool too. But VC you can do whatever you want, as some people have already said, and thats why i like it the best. You can't compaír GTA3/VC with Mafia or The Getaway, because they're so different, but you can compair Mafia with The Getaway, because the gameplay is very similar.
