GTA III Special Vehicle Guide

This topic is under construction, please be patient!

THIS TOPIC WAS CREATED WITH THE MEMBER @Lennart -

Acronym Legend:
BP = Bulletproof: This vehicle will not take any damage from bullets. The tires are not affected by this property.
FP = Fireproof: Driving through fire will not ignite the car.
EP = Explosionproof: Explosions don't affect this car; it won't move, nor will it take any damage.
DP = Damageproof: This vehicle is immune to collisions of any force. It won't dent, nor will it explode. This property doesn't protect boats and bikes. DP also includes "Meleeproof".
AP = Allproof: This vehicle is BP, FP, EP & DP at once.
UC = Unique Color (1): The vehicle's primary color is special and can't be found on the car according to the carcols.dat.
UC2 = Unique Color 2: The vehicle's secondary color is special and can't be found on the car according to the carcols.dat.
Unique = Unique Model: This term refers to the vehicle's model and depends on whether the vehicle can be found in traffic or not.
NE = No Extra: The vehicle has no "Extra", it's missing certain components. A good example for this is the lightless Taxi.

Chapter I: Portland Vehicles

Spoiler

UC Blue9 Kuruma

Spoiler

Mission:

Give me Liberty

Method 1:

Welcome to Liberty City! This is the very first special vehicle you'll come in contact with. The color of the Kuruma is Blue9 and white, but only the primary color is special. To obtain it, all you have to do is passing the introduction-missions while driving the car. During the mission "Luigi's girls", which is automatically started after "Give me Liberty", you can also convert the Kuruma to DP and bring it to Staunton or Shoreside vale as shown in the video.

BP/FP Securicar

Spoiler

Mission:

Van Heist

Method 1:

To obtain this vehicle, simply get to the stage of the mission where you are told to park the Securicar in the garage. You can either ram the Securicar with a car or damage it with explosions if you don't like wasting your time.

Park the Securicar in your Portland garage and blow it up using grenades or by simply ramming the back of the garage. Once it's blown up, just let the garage door close so the wreck is renewed. Getting this vehicle to other islands so you can obtain more vehicles early on is a little bit more difficult; reverse the Securicar into the tree as shown in the second video. When you clip under the map, drive forwards and try to stay on top of the tunnel. Then use the first person camera view to navigate to Staunton from where you can use the open tunnel to get to Shoreside Vale where you can store the Securicar.

Unique (Corpse) Manana

Spoiler

Mission:

Dead Skunk in the Trunk

Method 1:

The DP conversion applied to this vehicle is not recommended since after it is DP, you won't be able to take a look at the body in the trunk but that is just my personal opinion. To obtain this vehicle, start the mission 'Dead Skunk in the Trunk' and head to the Corpse Manana. Before entering, get rid of the Sentinels (that are waiting to tear you appart) by blowing them up with a Rocker Launcher from a distance. Once inside the Manana, park it inside your garage, blow it up and let the garage restore the wreck. You could also ditch it in the water and then store it inside the garage to get the same result.

AP/UC/UC2 Black Stretch

Spoiler

Mission:

Salvatore Called a Meeting

Method 1:

For this method, you need a Linerunner. You can pick it up at the docks after starting the mission. Align said Linerunner with the back of Joey's garage and follow the video to know exactly what to do. When you have access to the Stretch, take it and drive into the void. You'll respawn on a nearby road. Now you just need to ditch the Stretch inside the Ocean and store it in a garage of yours. Making it a ghost with the DP conversion allows it to phase through the tunnel entrance so you can store it in Staunton or Shoreside.

Video by Noctowl

Method 2:

This method uses om0 and also allows you to permanently keep the door to Joey's workshop open. Before you start the mission, get inside a taxi and hold down the "look behind" button. Start "Salvatore called a Meeting" and go to Joey's garage. During the part of the cutscene, where the Stretch is slowly leaving the workshop, release the "look behind" button. The cutscene might get stuck for a few seconds, don't worry about that. After this is done, you will be sitting inside an AP/UC/UC2 Stretch that you can either store in Portland right away or get to the other islands.

UC/UC2 Black Stretch

Spoiler

Mission:

Chaperone & Salvatore called a Meeting

Method 1: Chaperone

Start the mission and at any point, fail the mission by either killing Maria or ditching the Stretch inside the ocean. You can then continue with storing the Stretch. Easiest way to do that is by storing it either in Portland, or bringing the Stretch to Staunton Island/Shoreside Vale as a ghost car.

Method 2: Salvatore called a Meeting

Start the mission and at any point, fail the mission by ditching the Stretch inside the ocean. You can then continue with storing the Stretch. Easiest way to do that is by storing it either in Portland, or bringing the Stretch to Staunton Island/Shoreside Vale as a ghost car.

BP/FP (Rare Bomb type) Trashmaster

Spoiler

Mission:

Blow Fish

Method 1:

Very easy to obtain, if there wasn't the problem with the garage. It doesn't fit into the portland garage and neither can it be made DP with the crusher so you'll have to keep it in memory for the next few missions, until you pass 'Last Requests?'. The Bomb is unique because the bomb garage is too small and when you would try fitting one on the Trashmaster, it wouldn't fit inside. The bomb will go away when you explode the vehicle or activate the bomb. To obtain the Trashmaster, ditch it in the water after starting the mission. You then can just park it somewhere far away from any mission stuff and complete Blow Fish (no driving with other vehicles than the Trashmaster allowed). Then, the next mission will be bomb da base act 1 & 2. As part 1 is just a cutscene, part 2 is significantly harder. You will have to use the Trashmaster to arrive at the docks and after killing all Columbians, enter it before the fade or else, it will disappear. In the mission 'Last Requests', use the Trashmaster to get to the boat. Leave it there, pass the mission and return to the trashmaster. Once there, drive the Trashmaster into your garage.

DP Conversion

Spoiler

Mission:

Luigi's Girls | Drive Misty for me | The Fuzz Ball | The Getaway | Triads and Tribulations

Method:

All these missions have a NPC that follows you. You can therefore use them to convert vehicles to DP in these missions. Simply get the NPC in the passenger seat and align the car you want to convert with the crusher. The driver's door should be blocked. Now you have to spam the "enter/leave vehicle" button. Claude will leave the car through the passenger's door, be thrown to the floor by the NPC, enter the car while the crane lifts it and then drive a Ghost car. Store that in your garage and then continue with the mission or convert more vehicles.

Chapter II: Staunton Island Vehicles

Spoiler

UC/UC2 Black Rumpo

Spoiler

Mission:

Under Surveillance

Method 1:

After you start the mission, you'll see three major targets to take down. 1. The agents in the park 2. The agents on the building next to Kenji's Casino 3. The agents in the UC Rumpo. Since you want to keep the Rumpo, my recommendation is killing all the agents except the ones in the Rumpo. Then fire one bullet at the Rumpo to make them get out. They will shoot at you but still stand between you and the Rumpo so watch your aim. When they're taken down, simply get into the Rumpo and store it in your garage.

BP Barracks OL

Spoiler

Mission:

Arms Shortage

Method 1:

This is the Barracks OL that can be found at Phil's place in the mission. It will spawn there in freeroam too but without the BP property. To obtain it, simply pass the mission and steal it. No big deal. The Rhino is actually only BP so it is still somewhat special but inferior to the normal one. It could be used to complete the emergency crane in portland early. To get this one, simply push it to your garage. Frame limiter off will help on PC. This vehicle can also be made DP but watch out, you either will have to get rid of the door or leave it open when you get out.

Video by Warp GT

BP/FP/EP Bobcat

Spoiler

Mission:

Evidence Dash

Method 1:

If you play on PC, I recommend you turning off the frame limiter for this vehicle. Since the Barracks OL can be made DP and the BP one can be obtained with a pass, I also recommend using this one for the upcoming task. Start the mission and have the Barracks OL with you. Ram the bobcat so it looses one pack of evidence, then you either can get rid of your wanted level or just continue directly. Try to flip the Bobcat on its roof using the Barracks OL so the driver gets out and a message, 'That's a decoy' appears. Then push the bobcat into your garage and collect all the packages by ramming the new Bobcat that appeared. When you've collected all 6, get out of your car and explode it. The Bobcat saves in the garage even when the mission is still on so don't worry about "checking if it's still there" and simply continue with your tasks.

Video by Vanhela

Method 2:

This method is a bit more straight-forward, but it requires a Rhino. The only way to get one at this point (without cheating) is to keep one from the mission "Arms Shortage".
After starting the mission, retrieve your Rhino and use it to ram the Bobcat. After it blows up, the mission should pass, allowing you to simply push the Bobcat's wreck to your garage. Obviously, you have to be quick with the whole process as wrecks tend to disappear when you don't look at them, but doing it this way makes the whole process a bit more enjoyable.

Unique Ghost (missing)

Spoiler

Mission:

Gone Fishing / I scream, You scream

Method 1:

This is a very strange vehicle, as it is actually storable - but will crash your game if you ever decide to have a look at it in your garage, so keep that in mind when you want to obtain this boat. There is one exception, that is emulated versions as the PS4, or PS2 emulator will load boats normally and not crash the game.

Start the mission and get a police boat. When you arrive at your target, you need to shoot the Ghost until it starts smoking a bit. Then follow your target until he beaches the Ghost and kill him. All that's left is beaching the boat and pushing it to one of your garages. I recommend beaching the Ghost in the North-Western part of Staunton Island, from where you can use traffic vehicles/Claude to push the Ghost forward. You want to make sure that the Ghost is inside the garage all the way, because you can't reopen the garage. If you think the Ghost is stored, save your game and try to open the garage. If the game crashes, you succeeded and obtained the Ghost.

Video by MattJ155

Method 2: Keeping it on the map! (PC only) | OM0

This time, we will actually keep the Ghost in a way, so we can enter and use it at any time. The way to do this is using lots of glitches, but here is how it goes:

The setup is a replay where you collect a rampage and then go to the rampage alternative's location. This way, you ensure to always pick up a rampage, when you play the replay. Additionally, the replay has to be very far in the future, so you can cancel the rampages with it. You also need to have the mission "I scream, you scream" available.

Start out by starting the mission "I scream, you scream" 8 times, and collect the package the mission spawns for every instance. The way to do this is by starting the replay at the same time as you start the mission. This way, rampage and mission will start at the same time. You can then cancel the rampage, also using the replay. The next thing to do is entering any Mr. Whoopee. Now you have to head to the mission "Gone Fishing", where you start the mission along with the rampage, enter the Predator as shown on the map, leave it and repeat the same thing: start the mission "Gone Fishing" along with the rampage and enter the Predator. Once you've left the boat again, you have to drive to the "Patriot Playground" mission in Portland and start it. The game will loop the cutscene for a while and what you have to do is, once you've gained control over Claude, leave the Patriot after a couple of seconds. The mission will fail twice and everything should be good to go. Save your game and reload the save to see if everything is fine. There will be one blip on the map, indicating where the Ghost Missing is located. The reason for this is that the game was unable to execute the mission cleanup command properly as too many vehicles would have been necessary to be deleted. This way, the Ghost stays a "Marked" mission vehicle and will never disappear. You can unmark it by starting and failing Taxi Driver inside the Ghost, but then it will no longer remain on the map unconditionally.

UC/UC2 Red4 Cheetah

Spoiler

Mission:

Grand Theft Auto

Method 1:

All the cars that you can find in this mission seem to be PC (permanent color) but since the garage doesn't save that property, the vehicles won't be labeled as PC. In the same mission, you can find the UC Red4 Cheetah and the UC2 Red4 Infernus. To save them, simply gather all of them at your safehouse and wait for the mission to fail. If that is too slow for you, blow one of them up but watch out for the BP/FP Trashmaster if you have stored it in your garage since it can loose it's bomb when you blow it up. Then put them into your garage. I recommend obtaining all three in one save so you can save overall mission attempts. All of these super cars can be made DP and thus are pretty cool to drive.

Marked Man

Method:

Pass the mission and store the BP Patriot that you are given in a garage of yours.

EP/UC/UC2 Black Securicar

Spoiler

Mission:

Escort Service

Method 1:

Take a DP Barracks OL to the mission marker and start the mission, go to this location, aim at the lamp post and get rid of the Cartel Cruiser. Head quickly to the Staunton Island to SSV bridge. Try to keep the Securicar ramming the wall of the buildings around your safehouse until it slides right into your safehouse's area. Use the Barracks OL to direct the Securicar. From there, you can  either blow it up and push it into the garage or push it into the garage and then blow it up. Either way, after the mission is failed and the Securicar stored, let the garage door close and save the game.

Video by Vanhela

Method 2:

This method requires you to use a Rhino. The only way to get one at this point (without cheating) is to keep one from the mission "Arms Shortage". Start the mission and get rid of the attackers. Follow the Securicar until it gets close to your safehouse. At this point, you will have to blow it up, which will fail the mission. The hard part is to push the wreck into your garage. Since you have a Rhino, the only thing you have to worry about is that the wreck can disappear very easily. To prevent this, always look at the wreck and hurry up when you push the wreck into your garage. After the garage closes, save your game and then check if everything has worked when reopening the garage.

UC/UC2 Black Securicar

Spoiler

Mission:

Decoy

Method 1:

Simply pass the mission and store the Securicar in your safehouse garage. This is perfect if you want to convert the Securicar to AP later on, as it doesn't require you to fail the mission.

Kanbu Bust-Out & Deal Steal add permanent blips to your map if you accidentally fall through the map with the Ghost car, so try not to do that. You will either have to live with the blips or remove them with third party tools.

Chapter  III: Shoreside Vale Vehicles

Spoiler

Unique RC Bandit

Spoiler

Mission:

Toyminator

Method 1: Storing the RC Bandit in your garage

Start the phone booth mission and head over to the Toyz van as instructed. When you enter the van, however, you have to hold the "enter/leave vehicle" button. This will cause Claude to leave the van during the fade and you will fail the mission, but keep the RC Bandit and stay in control of it. Now you have to drive it to your garage and park it inside. The controls are shared with Claude so it will be a bit tricky. You can still walk without controlling the RC Bandit, so do that if you need a clearer sight of what's going on. Once the RC Bandit is parked inside the garage, the difficult part begins: Frame perfect button pressing. At the moment, the game won't store the RC Bandit. In order to change that, you have to blow up the RC Bandit at the same frame, as the door closes. Blowing up the Toyz is done by using the "attack" button. If you manage to blow up the RC Bandit at the correct time, the game will store the RC Bandit for you and you can continue with saving the game.

Video by Vanhela

Method 2: Storing an enterable RC Bandit anywhere on the map

The way to do this is similar to the above method:

Start the phone booth mission and head over to the Toyz van as instructed. When you enter the van, however, you have to hold the "enter/leave vehicle" button. This will cause Claude to leave the van during the fade and you will fail the mission, but keep the RC Bandit and stay in control of it. Now you have to drive it to the location, where you want to save it. Anywhere on the map. Now you need to save the game and reload it. The next step is to steal a flat (Taxi, Kuruma, etc., not a Rumpo) vehicle from the road or to simply take one from the garage. If you were to somehow fail this, just reload the save again. If you get hold of a car, park the front of it on top of the RC Bandit. Alternatively, you can just drive the RC Bandit slowly into the car if you still share controls with it, as it's apparently the case for PS versions of the game. The next step is to enter the RC Bandit. Pay attention to how it's done in the video - go near the RC Bandit, press the "enter/leave vehicle" button and Claude will teleport inside it. The RC Bandit will perform a couple of air-flips, but as long as you land safely, you will be fine. If you want to leave the RC Bandit again, you have to drive it into a car and teleport out. Otherwise, the game will crash.

Leave the RC Bandit where you want it to remain and save/reload your game. The RC Bandit is marked, so it won't disappear. If you want to use the RC Bandit, park a car on top of it and warp inside.

Chapter  IV: Side Mission & Freeroam Vehicles

Spoiler

BP/FP/EP Cheetah

Spoiler

Mission:

Turismo

Method 1: Pass

Complete the race up until you reach the finish line, but don't enter the last checkpoint yet. Get a big truck from the road (or you can do the race with the truck in the first place) and wait for the 2nd racer to show up. Once he is close to the finish line, pass the race and always keep an eye out for the racer. You have to somehow ram the Cheetah, so it flips upside down. If you manage that, the driver will leave the vehicle and you can push it to your garage without issues.

The best way is to ram the Cheetah head on, but even if that fails, you can still chase after him and try to push him off the road.

Video by Vanhela

Method 2: Fail

Start the race using a Rhino and wait nearby the entrance of your safehouse. Once a racer drives by, ram him and explode his Cheetah. Now you have to push it into your garage, while also always keeping an eye on the wreck. The game will only restore the wreck, if the mission has been failed, so you might have to wait a bit until another racer has finished his lap.

UC/UC2 Black FBI Car

Spoiler

Mission:

Freeroam

Method 1:

During the five star wanted level, the FBI Cars that are chasing you will be black. To obtain one, find a good location to mow down a few dozens of cops, get the wanted level, steal an FBI car and store it in your garage.

NE Taxi

Spoiler

Mission:

Freeroam

Method:

Park a vehicle that cannot have "extras" inside your garage and open the garage. The next vehicle that spawns that could have an "extra" will be guaranteed to not have that extra - be NE. You should therefore look at the road and see if a fresh Taxi has been spawned by the game. You will be able to tell if it's NE by simply looking at the top of the Taxi, as it will lack the Taxi-sign. If you find one, simply steal it and store it in your garage. If you don't see a Taxi, let alone a NE one, repeat the process until you find a NE one.

DP Conversion

Spoiler

Mission:

Taxi-Driver/Freeroam

Method 1: (Doesn't work on mobile)

Start Taxi-Driver inside the vehicle that you want to convert to DP. The way to do this is to enter a Taxi, press and hold "Look behind", leave the Taxi and enter the vehicle you want to convert. This will automatically start Taxi-Driver, so you can stop pressing "look behind". Now you have to find a passenger and let him enter the front passenger seat. Head over to the Portland Crusher and align the car, so the driver's door is closed. Press and hold "look behind" again and leave the car. Reenter it immediately and the crusher will pick up the car, converting it to a ghost car - it can drive through walls. Park it inside a garage of yours and let the garage restore it to a normal vehicle by closing and opening the door.

NE Conversion

Spoiler

Mission:

Freeroam

Method 1: PC Method

Firstly, you need to record a replay of a situation, where no cars that could have an "extra" are currently spawned on the map. This is easier to do than you might think: simply go to a secluded area and record a short replay.

The second step is to open a garage of yours, while you sit inside the vehicle that you want to convert to NE. It's important that the garage does not contain a vehicle that can have "extras". When the garage is open, play the replay you recorded earlier and when the replay ends, you should sit inside a NE version of the vehicle you used before.

Video by BAS-BAS23

Method 2: Mobile Method

For this method, you also need a garage with a vehicle inside that can't have an extra. The setup, however, is very much a different one: you need to create an autosave with the vehicle that you want to convert to NE in it. The easiest way to do that is to simply attempt to start taxi driver inside the vehicle by entering a Taxi, looking behind and entering your target vehicle. This way, the sidemission will fail and the game will create an autosave for you. You then have to open the garage where you parked the car in before and then reload the autosave. The vehicle you tried to enter while looking behind will be NE.

Making vehicles AP in The Exchange on the PC version, makes vehicles like BP/FP Securicar and AP Bobcat completely redundant and replaceable. The BP/FP Securicar can be replaced with the black-trimmed Securicar and made AP. AP Bobcat can be replaced with any vehicle you want to be AP.

And the AP Cheetah, can be replaced by the unique colored Cheetah when made AP.

(I'm calling the Cheetah and Bobcat AP because their BP/FP/EP abilities can be upgraded by adding DP via crusher)

It's pretty interesting.

True, but the AP Bobcat isn't replaceable. It is a worth special vehicle. Personally, I got it from mission rather than making another one AP

Regarding the cheetah and securicar, these one yes, are replaceable. And this is the same thing I did in my..which was?? First save?? Can't remember

It can be replaced because you can make another cool vehicle AP instead. Like Stallion or Banshee or FBI Car.

I spotted the teal Kuruma driving in traffic at Bedford Point, Staunton Island after completing the mission "Last Requests.

To my knowledge the unique teal colored Kuruma should only be obtainable from the first mission of the game "Give Me Liberty" where it is the first vehicle you drive in the game.

This guide is missing the BP/FP Panlantic van from the mission "Grand Theft Aero". The van which drives off as soon as Claude gets close to the hangar will drive all the way to the middle of the Shoreside Vale Lift Bridge, where it will become stuck in place. At this point, it becomes BP/FP. The player cannot enter it, and nor can it be pushed, it is completely stuck in place. Even when the bridge goes up, the van will be floating in air. Attempting to push it may actually lead to death, as the vehicle Claude is driving may glitch out of the  bridge, but unlike the glitchy Panlantic van, it may actually fall off into the water below. Therefore, this vehicle is unobtainable.

Fortunately, a better Panlantic, an AP variation, may be recreated thanks to the AP Conversion.

Wow, I never knew this vehicle is BP FP, even at this point, However, I don't think it's frozen. At the time when I was a beginner, I decided once to try and steal it and it wasn't frozen 🤔

Well, good luck then. I couldn't ever manage to move it. Maybe one day you could document more about this vehicle.

I already did it yesterday, and now, I am able to leak the infos: this vehicle isn't proofed, it has some flags that makes the vehicle act like this, flags which go away once the vehicle is stored in a garage, so no BP FP Panlantic. But hey, getting an AP one through conversion is still possible :)

By the way, how do the DP Mafia Sentinel from "Sayonara Salvatore" and the BP Esperanto from "Two-Faced Tanner" work?

Immune to non-player flag, which goes away after putting the car in the garage. Basically, with these vehicles you can travel relaxed in saint mark and you can also drive-by a vehicle and stand near the explosion, the vehicle will have not a scratch

Mădălinn

Yes. Patience. This is a thing which in 90% of the cases will go against you. There are also videos on yt, so watch them As well, they should help.

Also, game must be loaded from scratch after every attempt(exit game, enter game and load the save), no matter what outcome you got; Helicopter, train, another random AP vehicle from trafic or your vehicle converted(good outcome). In any but good outcome case, if you just load the save, chances to get the same bad or another bad outcome are very high. I had cases when I got the good outcome 4 times in a row after loading the game from scratch, so keep this in mind.

Well, I've just managed to successfully convert the BP/FP Bomb Trashmaster from "Blow Fish" to AP. The process isn't that difficult. It takes like 2 - 3 attempts at worst. One of the more annoying parts is getting the traffic car with the corona behind it. Also, garage space management is annoying, as I have to make sure I leave a garage with just a vehicle in it so I can properly place it in Slot 1. But other than that, it isn't that difficult.

By the way, why aren't there NE Cabbies and Bornignes in GTA III? In Vice City, absolutely all of the taxi variations have NE forms.

Mădălinn

You should know that the bomb on the trashmaster isn't special anymore. If you have some patience, you can force one inside and then outside the staunton bomb shop. Which means, only the properties are special on it. I am glad to hear that you managed the  conversion fast.🙂

As for the question, it's because the light on the taxi and the graffiti on the hoods gang car are objects which, due to garage glitch, these vehicles can spawn without them, while on the bornigne and cabbie, these are parts of the vehicle, and beside modding the game, there is no way to spawn these vehicles without them. As for vc, R* decided to put these parts as objects instead of part of the vehicle, thus why in vc they can be NE.

I recently discovered a few videos that showed it was possible to store the Ghost in a garage on the PS4 version of the game without the game crashing when you tried to open the garage again. I'm aware that one of these videos is six months old and this is likely not new for avid collectors, but I thought this was interesting and as an owner of the PS4 version decided to give it a try for myself to see how this worked:

Due to a bug or perhaps an oversight in the way that garages are coded, it appears that the game tries to class the stored boat as a car when you try to reopen the garage which is what causes the game to crash when you approach the garage the boat is stored in on all other versions of the game. If you check the video above at around the 14:50 mark, you'll see that if you run along the side of the boat where the windows are and press the enter vehicle button, Claude will attempt to open the vehicles "doors" which then causes the game to crash during the open door animation. I also find it interesting that this "fixes" the transparent interior of the boat.

I tested this with a few other boats that were docked at Asuka's and it seems that they all behave in the same way, allowing you to reopen the garage after saving the game. From the videos I linked initially it would also appear that this works the same way on the PCSX2 emulator and with the PS4 version of the game essentially being an emulation, this seems to be a "feature" exclusive to the emulated versions of the game which makes me wonder if this also works on either a backwards compatible PS3 or the PS2 Classics release for the PS3 available on the PSN Store. Has anyone tried this?

I think it's nice that this is possible though. While the boat is still useless, it at least doesn't render the entire garage useless, so you can store the Ghost in a garage during your playthrough on this platform along with other Special Vehicles :p

This isn't a bug, this is just lack of code. Garages were programmed to store only cars and the dodo which, by the code, it's a "car", just like maverick in vc and lcs. Boats only in almost further gtas. So yeah, basically, when you try to store a boat in a garage, it doesn't know what you put inside it, it tries its best to process the vehicle. As for when you try to open the garage, there is another story: the vehicle inside in wasn't ever supposed to be spawned by a garage, so game doesn't know what to do and it crashes.

Emulators, again, another story: they have some more implemented features. I know nothing about PS4, but the most known one on PPSSPP and PCSX2 is "fast memory". On PPSSPP, you can turn it on or off whenever you want, but on PCSX2, it is implemented. It is always enabled and you can't turn it off. Beside allowing you to store boats and many not available vehicles, it is mostly used in om0 tasks. For example, on PCSX2, gta vc, you can do the black conversion without having the ped nearby. You'll get some errors in the console, but the game will not crash. In lcs, for example, you can do the color conversion, while on real PSP, this crashes.

I actually wondered if the other boats act the same, but never tried it. Thanks for confirmation.

One thing I forgot to say above is that there is some mod for gta 3 pc, which contains many options, one of them being called "exception handle". Turning it on allows you to store boats on PC, so yeah, if you're up to tests, you can try it. As for backwards compatibile PS3 or clasic PS2, it doesn't work on both of them, someone tried it and game still crashes.

Well, I like the way you're thinking about such special vehicles. Many people criticise me for collecting some worthless(not inferior inupgradeable!) vehicles. Well, I'm actually going for all worth and inferior upgradeable vehicles, I need to have one of these in a save!

I tried obtaining the RC Bandit by using the 2nd method. After saving and reloading the game, whenever I drive a car into the RC Bandit, the game crashes.

Wow, that's weird. Did you tried to close the game as well and boot it back on??

Perhaps, driving the car is also the problem. Did you tried to push it, instead? Are you sure the bandit do not touch the tires of the vehicle? And, a last alternative, before save and reload, have you tried to drive the bandit under a car from your garage, then save and reload?

I really don't know what's wrong. The game either crashes when the car stands on top of the RC Bandit (it doesn't matter if I drive it, if its tires touch the RC Bandit or if I push it). When the game doesn't do that, Claude will run around in endless circles around the front of the car until the game crashes. In whatever scenario I get, I can never get Claude to warp inside the RC Bandit.

Anyway, I went past "Toyminator" and I only have another save remaining with the Bandit obtained (but in which if I click on the Fire button, the game crashes). Whatever I try, the game won't let Claude warp into that toy car.

I seem to have encountered another problem. Whenever I try to turn one of those NE vehicles into AP, right after the F1 + F3 spam, the vehicle is turned into the non-NE variant all the time. What do I do to keep it NE and have it AP too?

I will instead try to convert the AP version to NE. No further need for support on this one.

There is a way to save Ghost on Mobile, for the second time I got 100% with it, the point is to postpone Ray's missions until the end and save it with autosave. It is worth remembering that you cannot repair it.

On Android, you can rename the slot number; on IOS, there will be a big risk of accidentally overwriting your autosave.
