countryn2.ipl MeshSmoothed

With 3ds Max's MeshSmooth modifier,  I'm able to smooth GTA SA's meshes automatically (and fix bugs caused by MeshSmooth) easy and fast. I started MeshSmoothing country2n.ipl two days or so ago and is nearly completed (might be released tonight, or tomorrow).
There's a preview mod of this MeshSmooth project already released by me.

The whole countryn2 map is MeshSmoothed:

Bugs fixing and cols replacing are left to do.
Average size per MeshSmoothed .dff from countryn2.ipl = 250 kb. Highest size of MeshSmoothed .dff from countryn2.ipl = 950 kb. Polycount is low and still looks good.

Just watched your videos about modding gta on your channel.God, that was me 5 years ago,I see you dig this stuff.

And this is good,more mesh to environment please my eyes.You gonna have to do something for Vertex Prelight,some don't use Render Hook,DirectX 2.0 and stuff which disable it.Anyway,din't come here to note you to do VC.

Got any experience with Texturing the 3D model and in general working in Photoshop?

I'm still not decent at texturing 3d models - need to watch youtube tutorials or something. I'm decent at photoshop (made textures for gta sa).

To replace original models with smoothed ones will also require to smooth their collision meshes for them to match, right? I know that it is possible to import .col meshes into 3DMax, but would it be possible to smooth and export them without losing original surface data?

 

Also, have you referred to Firefly's tutorial by any chance? 😄

Yes - need new smooth cols to match the smooth models. Will look into keeping the surface data intact (if possible).

Firefly's tutorial is for Blender/Zmodeler. This is all 3ds Max. But her tutorial inspired me to do something similar with 3ds max.

Will be a bit longer till countryn2.ipl meshsmooth's completed. I restarted the project last night cuz I wanted it to be as perfect as possible, with at least almost to none bugs (holes/gaps). I'm doing colsurfaces atm. Bout 10 hours to finish colsurfaces. Then lod meshes to match the meshsmoothed meshes (guessing bout 1-3 hours).

Can you post a tutorial later on? Especially on colsurfaces, this could become a great project to remaster game map if enough people show interest

Transferring colsurfaces from original collisions to modded collisions is apparently not possible (I tried few ways - none worked - maybe there is a way that's not discovered/figured yet). So I had/have to tweak modded colsurfaces manually to match their vanilla versions.

countryn2.ipl MeshSmoothed v1.1 Update:

Almost all white holes/lines are fixed. Most of white holes/lines are replaced with gray/black color (gray/black color is less noticeable/irritable than white). Because some meshes are tweaked/updated to eliminate the white hole/line bugs, some of their colsurfaces/cols are now bugged. Next update will include colsurface/col fixes. Download countryn2.ipl MeshSmoothed v1.1:

He said that he will select another part of the map then  he'll do the same thing on it but I don't know if he is still working on it

This project is on hold. I'm just focusing on completing AIRCJ first. I'll return back to this project eventually no worries.

Ya, I plan to do other parts of the GTA SA map (After I finish fixing/completing Countyn2.ipl Meshsmoothed).

Zeneric bro prelighting means the object facing the sun will glow then the rest body yes or no if yes please Bro please can you prelight me los santos airport in gta sa 😢
