Ghoffman9
There is a safety zone near where drop offs are for most missions. It states enemies cannot interact with you and the objective while in this safety zone. I can tell it works cause everyone's dots on the map turn transparent while I am in that zone. 4eyedcoupe and IamCourtney

I'm on PS4 and I have never seen that message, maybe it's just me. However when you get close or just in the edge of the yellow marker the pink dots on the map become faded and nobody can hurt you. Ghoffman9
The only thing I am not completely certain on is whether that safety zone protects the objective from other players if you leave the objective behind within the safety zone to go do some hunting or some other activity to run the clock down. 4eyedcoupe

I've always assumed "no" because if you get off of the wagon or whatever it is you are delivering, the yellow area goes away and it shows the symbol for the wagon or whatever on the mini map and tells you to collect the wagon. I haven't tested it, so not 100% certain either but just seems to make sense(even though R* doesn't) rusbeckia

We Are Ninja
IMO, it was a dick move... Both of you coild have altered your paths to avoid each other, but neither of you did, so you're both in the wrong IMO. You were both on missions [to make money], so neither of you got road priority over the other. Ask yourself: If he had ask you to alter your path for him, would you have done so? Prolly not. So why would you think that he was obligated to do it for you? He at least had the decency to announce both his presence and his intentions as he approached. Granted, he could have been lying, but only an idiot would risk $100+ worth of hunting spoils for a $15 wagon delivery (or whatever) that he's going to have to actually fight for. I would have let him pass, but been ready to fight in case he really was an idiot. IamCourtney
Fair enough, fair enough. For my part, I never felt he was obligated to listen to me, the warnings to keep away were a courtesy returned. I've had dozens of similar situations where someone riding up on my mission got blasted without a word spoken on either side. I never let the opponent take the initiative if I can help it. If our roles were reversed, he never would have needed to say anything. I keep well away from mission objectives when I'm not looking for trouble, and if I am ever as close as this guy was, it's because I'm attacking. I suppose I just don't see a load of hunting goods as a strong enough guarantee of passivity; plenty of cowboys out there willing to risk the value of their pelts and carcasses for the chance to add the payout of a stranger mission attack on top of their hunting payday, myself included. 4eyedcoupe, DrKrankenstein, We Are Ninja and 1 other

If I had $100+ worth of pelts sitting on the arse of my horse, there is no way I would be going close to anyone mission or not, so he/she was definitely an idiot. I'm new to Rockstar's excuse for PvP, but from my understanding of 3 day's worth of free roam I only trust my map. Every thing else is going to stick, shoot or bite ya. Overall. I'm big on plumes and feathers. I typically stack 20+ gator/boar/buck skins while I'm at it, but I never get credit for all of them. On a good sale, I might actually get paid for half of them. I sincerely wish R* would fix that rusbeckia
JC Hammer
Exactly why we need private lobbies. Even if the pelt-bug is annyoing, you‘ll never lose that much money because of it. I sell for 90-100$ regularly, so I don‘t really care if I lose 5$ for some glitched pelts here and there. I agree, even in GTAO where there were all kinds of options, probably a third of all players still just hung out in public lobbies griefing. But given the almost universal criticism of RDRO, I'll cut the griefers some slack until R* releases something closer to a finished game... Elizabeth and kill every single quadruped I ran into all the way to the Marshlands, then I'd spend an hour or two there stacking baby gators, boar, and the occasional deer/buck. I'd go to the butcher with 25-30 pelts and get credit for 5 or so. If that. It was so bad that I stopped hunting pronghorns and deer altogether unless I need them for food. Now, I go to the butcher with gator and boar skins only and STILL have the same problem.

Doesn't seem that hard (to get $100 off horse items alone) if you were to farm a bunch of perfect panther pelts, dunno if it would be worth the time invested vs selling each individually with the accompanying carcass but I won't deny every now and then I like to just load up as much as I can (or am willing to endure the eventual boredum of) to see how high of a payout I get. I never go so far as to max out everything I can (that sounds too insane) but I can definitely fill up and pull in a good amount. What carcass sells for 15.40 btw? I thought the perfect panther at $14 was the highest. Edit: I didn't touch on the pelt bug issue so here goes, I stopped carrying more than two types (quality included) of medium animal pelts at a time anymore, full stop. Satchel stuff I still go ham on and have no issues there but typically now I'll just grab a few perfect cougar with as many perfect pronghorn (or deer) pelts as I can, since I started doing this I haven't ran into that bug at all. Granted I'm obviously losing out on potential money but the time I'm saving from not killing as many medium animals is definitely something, spend it on any bird I see now and fishing for small fish along with the usual medium fish I always go for. In my opinion this is the best way I've found to go about it right now, medium pelts aren't a huge amount of money as it is as most are in the 2-3 dollar range. I dunno do as you like but I still 100-200 dollars a butcher run now just hunting and fishing random stuff between missions/gang hideouts. Of course it‘s possible, but the $/time is better with smaller loads I‘m pretty sure. How long do you need to ride to find more than one cougar? I know a few points where they are spawning and they NEVER spawn when I already have one on my horse. Also if you fill up everything and ride around with full feathers for a while e.g. you will by chance miss out easy $ when you can‘t carry any birds/feathers anymore. Also it‘s pretty unefficient, when you Stack 4 pelts for 2$ each when you could have taken a carcass for 8$. the perfect cougar carcass is 15,40$. Oh ok I get what you mean, and yeah like I said don't get me wrong I'm not in it for the timeVSmoney right now, I'm just doing it leisurely BUT my point about the two types of medium pelts max still stands, you might be able to get away with more but for someone that's having the issue (not you just saying) they have to decide what's better for them. Edit: I'll have to screenshot next time I'm at the butcher, every time I've sold a perfect cougar carcass it's been $13.50 ($5 pelt) and a panther is $14 ($6.50 pelt), maybe something is causing you to get a higher payout? A lot of times though I just feel like roaming around and doing hideouts/stranger missions/whatever and that's usually when I'll just slowly stock up on fish/birds/small game before eventually hitting the butcher. rusbeckia and DentureDynamite

Totally agree, many don't like to repeat missions more than once let alone keep on repeating them and even with how the PvP modes are run in a playlist and splitting posse's is off putting for some. Aside hunt and fish, killing players/NPC's for Xp is about all that's left. I'm sure once new content comes next week that many will be busy trying those new modes out and sessions will be clearer for a spell at least.
