  1. 1. How would you rate GTA IV now?

    • Between 8 to 10 (I love GTA IV and voting here proves I'm not a child with taste for fine video games)
    • Between 5 to 7 (Good game, but not really a fan)
    • Between 3 to 4 (Don't like it and I have no taste)
    • Between 0 to 2 (I'm a troll and should stick to playing crappy video games instead)

GTA 4 feels like you're controlling a really great movie. I've replayed it 4 or 5 times, and each one was just as enjoyable as the first, if not better. The story was deep, dark, and entertaining. Combine that with the great car physics, enjoyable side missions, cool characters, and a badass protagonist like Niko and you have yourself a masterpiece.

I give it a 9/10. The only thing I felt like was missing from the game was not having enough things to spend your big money on. Otherwise it was perfect

OP, simmer down; they're called opinions

I realise this guy probably wont respond since he hasn't posted since last month, but it's quite amusing how some people get cut up even when you say not to take it seriously in the first post.

:sarcasm:

8.5/10 is more than enough from my point of view.

9, 9.5, 10 are scores for some of the greatest games out there (and no, I don't think IV is one of them).

Really? This is so stupid. People have different opinions and nothing is perfect dude. Someone out there is going to dislike your favorite videogame.

I'm sorry for having a sense of humour.

Not having anything to buy at the end of the game even though you were loaded was super fitting. You get tragedy if you pick money, you get tragedy if you pick roman. If you pick money and roman dies Niko would not think that it was worth it and he wouldn't even know what he should buy. Then Kait wouldn't even put out.

If you pick roman then you at least have a cousin to go bowling with WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

GTA is still one of my favourite games of all time and I think that will always be the case tbh. There is a certain nostalgic & personal connection (really miss the simpler times of 2008) but in general it holds up so well in terms of story, characters, atmosphere, physics etc. even when the graphics age (and since it came out in the PS3 Era it will never age as badly as PS2 era games, especially the cutscenes still hold up).

One of those rare masterpieces in gaming for me.

Still one of the best games so far. I rated SA less than 10 because it is outdated, seems to be the case with IV as well but I think IV aged better since it was even being compared to Mafia III nowadays and in some areas it looked pretty damn fine with the similar color choice, not so good in the facial/npc animations though. That's the thing about mods, they can make GTA IV look good but the faces definitely show you its age.

So in comparison to all GTA games, I would still give it a 10/10.

Honestly, GTA IV is probably my favourite GTA, something about it just clicked with me, Liberty City felt fully realized, as if detail had been put into every last inch of the map.

A 4/10 because they had to ruin it with this update so it's barely playable now.

Been playing it on my XB1 for a couple of days now and there hasn't been an update much less one that's ruined it. Unless you mean PC?

Probably pc. Pc version was never good but it seems rockstar tried too much to f*ck game up lately on pc, that’s what i see on reddit. Altho pc has better graphics if you can run it

I've never played GTA IV on PC, but it saddens me (just from what I've seen from people over the years) that the PC port was pretty bad.

Lol dude. You continue to intoxicate every thread that involves GTA 4.

Ignored from now on. Bye bye 👋

Why would you wait 3 days to respond to me if you're just going to "ignore" me anyway? The f*ck? and since this is my own thread then yeah naturally I'm going to be apart of it.:/

"Intoxicate". What...do I make every thread drunk when I post in it? lol. Sheesh.

Yeah. Just got the Complete Edition update for PC and it basically ruined it.

I rate GTA IV an 8.5/10.

It's an amazing game. In fact, it is my favorite out of all the GTA games.

The only problem is, is that you don't get to interact a whole lot with this hustling, bustling city that is Liberty City.

TBOGT improved in this aspect, with many post- game activities, but with Vanilla IV, it just feels like that the fun post-game is tied to the physics, and the grittiness that the city gave off.

I feel that this could've been improved, without breaking the immersive-ness of the game, while allowing the game to age even better than it already has.

That said, I think this game is amazing, I just want to do stuff besides shooting cops and criminals in secluded spaces for hours, and listening to the OST on drives around late-night Broker/Dukes.

GTA4 is my favorite video game of all time for more reasons than just the game itself. It holds a lot of personal sentiment and history for me and so it means a lot to me. I voted 10 on impulse, but probably should have voted 9. I've played the game a long time and know it well enough to know that there are some aspects of the game that still frustrate me even after all these years.

I'd rate it 8 but man, the poll options are a clusterf*ck.

Story, physics, soundtrack and atmosphere are amazing, but the shooting, melee and cover systems don't really age that well.

MFW my moustache is finally long enough to twirl like a villain ...

Standard rating polls are boring as f*ck. Someone needed to think outside the box for a change.;)

the shooting and melee are excellent. the shooting is loud and powerful while the melee combos are satisfying.

the cover system is a little janky though, with the crosshair locking to the center. but fusionfix fixes that :)
