  1. 1. How would you rate GTA IV now?

    • Between 8 to 10 (I love GTA IV and voting here proves I'm not a child with taste for fine video games)
    • Between 5 to 7 (Good game, but not really a fan)
    • Between 3 to 4 (Don't like it and I have no taste)
    • Between 0 to 2 (I'm a troll and should stick to playing crappy video games instead)

Obviously 10/10 as it's a clear masterpiece.😉

Don't take the poll too seriously, but I will ban you for not voting in the 8 to 10 category hehe well not really.

Happy voting.👍

GTA iV is most definitely one of the best games I have ever played, used to have the dvd original version, the one that came out way back in 2008.

Since then my dvd had shattered from having it in the drive to many times when it was required to have it like that to play GTA iV.

I'm playing FiTGiRL GTA iV Complete edition now, that I have downloaded, but since this one has a few performance and other type of bugs i'm getting my self a new dvd complete set from a local online store.

Great gaming.

It's all personal opinion, but for me 4 was the weakest game in the series.  I never even bothered completing it as I got so bored.  I appreciate people absolutely love this game and as I said, we've all got an opinion.

7 or 7,5 out of 10. I like the game. It has a charm, but it's a step back compared with the holy trilogy of III, Vice City and San Andreas.

I'm kinda dual to this game. I loved loved loved it while I played, but after several years have passed, I started to feel that it's, in a way, a black sheep of the series in terms of tone and overbearing 'realism'. I still like it a lot, but in a different way than other GTA games.

This was my thoughts, personally I think they ditched the Arcade-style of the RW games and tried to embrace more of a simulation style.  For me, I didn't like it sadly.

Interesting. From my experience I've known people that didn't like it very much at first, but in due time eventually grew to love its unique spin on the GTA formula rather than the opposite. Not saying you're wrong just find it interesting is all.

Same here. I've given it many chances but always lose interest after the first 10 missions or so. Gameplay is slow and clunky. The grey dull world just makes it worse.

I think going from the vibe and freedom of what was GTA:SA it just felt like a backwards step in terms of core and game-play.  Visuals obviously were amazing compared to what we were used to, but for me I just could never get into it.  The introduction of the insane arcade driving with V got me back on board cause that's what I loved about the series to start with.

But again, millions of people preferred the IV driving, it's all just personal preference.

I like you already because even though you don't like GTA IV you don't come in swinging punches like most GTA IV haters do with terrible attitudes.

Bravo.👍

It still stands as an amazing game with a great city,a great open world with more serious and realistic characters,a sadder story, amazing missions, great improvements from the past(cover system, driving mechanics, you can climb ladders,parkour,...),you have phone, amazing secondary missions,THE BEST DLC'S,the GTA with more interiors and the most worked(in details),it offered a lot that other GTA's and games didn't,it had something different, unique, and even as 2019 still has the best phisics.

For me this masterpiece as 2019 still deserves a 10/10 rate, since there isn't something better and it was something unique as 2008(and it still is)

It's amazing for a game that was made in 2008 it still feels great to play.

I rarely play games from that era now, but GTA IV has aged gracefully IMO. It's really hard to think it was made well over a decade ago.

Best DLC ever :r*:Needs no other explenation than IV being growndbreaking once the series shifted from the 3D era. Vanilla IV and TLAD remain my 2 favorite stories while LuLu gets my third :p

Also I'd pick IV's trio any day over V's. Just my quick cent.

the trio in 5 was so damn corny and selfish. it was like playing with a group of children

i give it an 8 out of ten. its a great game. i loved the story and characters. the map was good. although i do think it was too small. the gameplay was good. but im not a fan of the driving. i like gta 5s driving much better. there was a good amount of vehicles. but like a lot of people i was disappointed with no planes. i also really liked the multiplayer. and i have a lot of great memories playing with my friends and having a lot of fun in multiplayer. i think one of the things i didint like was how there was not much to do after you beat the story. i got bored sometimes. gta 5 fixed that with a lot more content and much bigger map. i also liked the two dlcs. they were fun and added some much needed content. the stories were good too. so overall gta 4 is an amazing game. and it has helped me a lot in times when i needed it.

I'd give it a 9.5/10.

It had one of the most well written and interesting stories, not only in the GTA series, but in the gaming industry as whole. A ton of likable and believable characters who got a lot of in-depth and backstories to them, in addition to a lot of campaign choices that can affect some of the story's events, mixed with an amazing atmosphere and grounded crime missions and side-missions. Let alone the unmatched Euphoria and wonderful driving mechanics (in my opinion). All set in such a highly developed urban environment of Liberty City and Alderney City (which could've had a little more to it, still pretty cool though).

I totally understand why some would dislike it, mainly due to the lack of planes and customization options which money can be spent on. But for me, I can overlook it due to the points I stated above. And well, at least there're some customization options: clothes. And even though less variety of them is offered, I still find most of them to be better than most of the pieces that were available in GTA San Andreas. As for planes, I'm not interested in flying in GTA anyway, which makes helicopters more than enough for me.

I don't know if EFLC counts too, but I'd like to mention The Lost and Damned as well. I'd rate it just the same as GTA IV due to the fact that it got almost the same quality as the the base game, only having a shorter (but interesting and well-developed for its length) story that's different.

Definetly a 10/10, everything was spot on. The driving, the shooting, the story, everything was almost perfect.

I know some people hated the driving, but to me it was the best in the series. They felt like actual cars with weight, not just some oversized RC cars like in V. I really hope they bring it back for VI.

Agreed. Overall it was just too much of a step back from even VC, let alone SA. It simply lacked the variety and freedom that made SA so great. I rate it a 5/10. Just average and very forgettable.

Yeah. Nothing wrong with considering EFLC too.👍

I think after all this time, Grand Theft Auto IV gets a solid 8/10 as a great game. I remember being taken aback when I first played it due to it's ground-breaking new graphics, physics and details. It's darker take I could appreciate much more as a more mature adult, and it still has a protagonist that bodes well with people. It's DLC content enhances the experience most especially, and including that would bring the score up to an 8.5. That's only because we're counting DLC as just an extra feature of the game. The DLCs individually get an eight out of ten as well. Some features omitted from previous games leave stuff to be desired, and today it's not aged as well as it could've done due to looking a bit washed out in it's colour palate. Maybe that's just my TV but I don't know. Either way, GTA IV now is an 8.

I’d have to go with 10/10, man and it still holds up even to this day in 2019!

This game is very unique when compared to the rest in the series. 10/10 in 2008 when I first got it (at 9 years old 💀) and 10/10 now.

I think GTA IV is unique and most interesting entry in the series.
It was released in HD era of consoles and allowed R* to expand world and gameplay mechanics significantly.
Really strong world and atmosphere and everything seemed well integrated from top to bottom.
I know lot of people were turned off by added "realism" but I believe it made this game memorable.
Physics engine introduced whole new layer of interactivity and online (unlike in V) was actually enjoyable bonus.

LaD and TBoGT expansions were awesome addons that added lots of extra hours of fun.

In hindsight I think GTA IV has stood well test of time and it is still enjoyable today.
9/10 - would play again.

(we have another thread like this? weird.)

9/10, would play again.

GTA IV is a great game in terms of physics, storyline, protagonist, and city. The one thing I did not like about it is that they basically gave you nothing to do after the storyline. *which is why i replay the game* The multiplayer is pretty good too if you want to f*ck around in Liberty City with a friend.
