I can't experience the game : /

Hi i don't know if i'm on the right place but i'm here to ask community about the game cause i litteraly can't play. My game time is on odd hours and im struggling finding mates to do my jobs.

I have plenty of business but everytime i connect to a session it's either full of helicopters, mk2, planes camping people and it's litteraly impossible to sell my stuff nor staying alive more than 30s. I could also mentions the hackers that just ruin the game by killing you constantly or even gives you money for you to get banned (happened to two friends).

 

So what's the deal with GTA5 online? Is that normal that people are so far in the game that people can't enjoy playing nor they can do missions on alone sessions?

No that hasn't happened for quite a while now afaik, so if it's something that happened recently your friends could be lying to you, especially since there's a 'banwave' going around recently for people using certain mods... 

 

OP you should look at something called a Solo Public Lobby to avoid all the warlike drama that comes with Freeroam sessions. Some missions and modes are harder to fill up anyway, so perhaps use the Find Lobbies & Players section on the forums for reliable people or join something like the GTA Online discord.

Thank you guys for the quick answers i'll check what you linked me and hope i will finally be able to actually play. 

 

 

@Gaffa It was back in November that's why i quitted the game for a while, two friends of mine were tricked by a crew member and had to start from lvl 1 again.

For someone who can't experience the game, you definitely sound like you're experiencing it just the way Rockstar intended.

People who take pleasure in, and feel that it is a "win", getting somebody banned from either a game, or a forum or whatever deserve a punch in the face.

 

I go mad at my nine year old because when he is online playing Fortnite or Rocket League (or occasionally GTA) I can hear the absolute chaos of him and his little mates all shouting to "report" "kick" etc etc 

 

I think it's just the culture among kids today. Little sh*ts, the lot of them lol

Yeah Rockstar somehow managed to create a Pay-to-Annoy/Cheat-to-Annoy game. But as some people said i need to find nice people to play with. 

 

 

@Big Molio Yeah online games are pretty f*cked up nowadays, some really great games i enjoyed playing like LoL/Dota/WoW/CoD when i was younger were ruined by the community. I think it all started with HALO teabags videos, it was funny cause BMs were new and unusual back then. Now even games like Hearthstone without text chat allows players to mock you

If we break down your post, it comes down to these elements:
1. You "litteraly" can't play GTAO.
2. You play at odd hours and can't find people to play with.
3. When you do play, there's lots of activity preventing you from selling things or staying alive.
4. Hackers ruin your game.
 

The questions posed in your post are:
1. What's the deal with GTAO?
2. Are people so far in the game they don't enjoy playing?
3. Are people so far in the game they can't do missions on alone sessions?

My response:
While I can certainly play the game just fine, I also play at odd times, alone, with lots of activity in a session that keeps me from my objectives.
However, the difference for me, I think, is that I forge through it, anyway. It's part of the experience of GTAO.
As for hackers, well, if they exist then you need to find a new session. They've been around forever, so nothing new.
And no, people are not so far in that they don't enjoy playing – it's just that they've developed their "way" of playing and their good with it.

Now, either jump in and just have fun, or sit alone with your donut and wonder why you're not enjoying this game the way you should. Cheers!

Is there one for Xbox One or is that pretty complicated?  I just disconnect my cable for 7 secs and it works every time but it seems lately they have become more consistent with dropping people in my private lobby.

you can drop lobbies with the NAT type method still 

 

just go to your network settings and let your NAT type test run until it prompts you that your game is ready and most of the time everybody will be gone. I've noticed after doing this i can't join any other public sessions without needing to restart my game though, and it won't work twice on the same lobby

I'd say keep switching sessions unless you find one with just few people or an empty one. Or like other say, try to disconnect network cable to few seconds and you might get an empty session.

This is awesome, thank you so much.  The only thing I've noticed is that Lester is not available for cops turn a blind eye and lose wanted level ect but I can live with that.  No one drops in to the private lobby after I do this and there is no problems after I restart.  Awesome!

Contact missions are a good way interact with players without having to fight them. Grind them for a while and you will still make money. Always sell business product in a solo public session.

I'm trying to think of something to help the OP and possibly others who read this thread, who find the game insufferable when going from A to B.
Apologies in advance if I come across as patronising, pontificating of generally snootish in the way I express myself. It's true; I don't let my kids, even my 15-y-o son play GTA online because of what it has done to me and to so many others over the years.

 

Try and analyse the lobby before jumping in. Take a look at the amount of players and what they're up to. If you see MC/CEO groups of players constantly topping up the kill feed, they're probably just griefing for their personal enjoyment. Try and get a feel for the lobby first, and if there's too much airborne activity, maybe avoid it and find another session with less players. You can, of course, find a public solo lobby with a bit of patience, but it's fun to live in an online world with other people, so finding the right balance is the key. Remember also that as soon as you shoot at another player, behave in a threatening way, or do any type of activity that sends an on-screen alert to 'attack and destroy', you'll be hunted. So learn with experience, skirt around the edges and use your head. Rockstar will have you believe that the objective of their game is to take on other players and beat them. It's not. The purpose of the game is to do what you want to do and 'beat' GTA online, by earning money and buying the things you crave. All The Best!

I doubt it. If you're on PS4 just lower your MTU to something like 700 (630 works best for me) and you can play by yourself for as long as you like.

Yes that is my trick for now since they patched that time and date, but now ever since i changed it i'm stuck on nat 3, i have to reset my router many times to get type 2 again, i just thought maybe this app can be another technique but oh well guess i stick to MTU thx man as always
