What is your guys' favorite saloon or tavern in this game? Where do you hang out and do all your drinking?

I orginally didn't like the Parlor House much, but it's got a certain charm that grows on you, and I think they have the best piano player. I'm torn though, because I also really like the seedy yet cozy nature of the Van Horn Saloon. But I can't play poker in either of them, so there's that. I think Armadillo's might be my favorite were it not so creepy quiet in there except for the ticking of the grandfather clock.

What do you think? Which saloon do you like best and why?

i liked smithfields the most. it really reminds me of a lot of saloons i have seen in a lot of westerns. there are some other decent saloons but i like this one the best. also your cant forget about ynnel. that was a great mission.

Gotta be Smithfield's - have a shave, play some poker, fight a loudmouth dude that's wearing a raccoon.....what's not to love?

I really like the Rhodes saloon as it's a bit fancier than Valentine's but still gets a rougher crowd with the Raider's, but Valentine's has to be it. It's got the most classic western vibe out of the lot, especially with Armadillo's being the way it is, Tumbleweed doesn't quite do it for me.

Smithfield's because it plays more in the story than the others.

Bastille saloon. Just for Lilian Powell's infinite bitching.

Has to be the saloon in Valentine for me, only because it reminds me so much of the Gem saloon in Deadwood. That being said it’s pretty cool seeing the state of what the Armadillo saloon is in!

Doyle's Tavern in Saint Denis:

latest?cb=20181209230214

The second you walk in, you can already tell that you are NOT in a nice area of town. I don't know how to explain this but, everything about this place, makes me want to "watch my six" at all times. If you walk through the back door, you will see drunk people sleeping on a muddy floor, a prostitute sleeping in a mattress placed on the street, apart from shacks.  Everything about this places makes it depressed AF with lowlifes, criminals, alcoholics and prostitutes... And that's what makes me want to come back, I really do like the edgy vibe from  this place to be honest.

There’s a good range but I like Smithfield’s for the classic Western look.

Gambler Challenge 8 permanently put me off visiting any with Blackjack even though the two tier layout of Rhodes is quite nice.

Being from Spain too, that saloon gives me memories of childhood. Not because of lowlife people, but because most taverns here were like this, with fried food, tobacco and bad wine smell all over. Only a few remain as this. I don't miss them, honestly...😁

I just love Rhodes. I do generally love to visit all saloons, not just because of the minigames offered, but Rhodes and the outskirts there is the town I love most personally and the saloon there is very nice too. :)

I really love Smithfields in Valentine, nothing better than playing few games of poker in there with my lovely Raccoon hat some big bloke gave me.

No love for the Blackwater Saloon I see. I think I've only drank there once myself. I might drink there more often if it opened up before the epilogue. Didn't hang out there a whole lot in the first game either (I'm more of a Casa Madrugada kinda guy).

Oh & someone posted Van Horn's real life location a while back, somewhere in West Virginia or Kentucky...but I've forgotten the actual name of the place it's based on!

The side mission in that saloon has to be one of my favourites in the game. (along with part 2 of it, lol).

The second part of that mission is like the VC/SA remote helicopter missions of RDR2, by the end of it I wanted nothing more than to put a bullet in the little bugger.

Lol, with an RC car about to come to GTA, I've seen a good few complaints about the Zero missions in San An. But yeah, though it was a funny one here, it was one of those 'grrr' moments. Awesome bright colours though. :)

Smithfield’s was my favorite and I love Valentine! However, the van horn saloon’s piano player does great! I spent a ton of time there looking for the princess and heard him plenty.

Blackwater. I used to make John get sh*t faced just to watch him fall on his face in RDR.

Smithfields because of the classic western feel. The fancy saloon in Saint Denis, the one where you can rent a room, don't remember the name is a close second for me though.

i voted for smithfields saloon a while back but i voted for amadillo as well since i always enjoyed going to armadillo in rdr 1 because of the old west feel (back in my 360 days).😀

Smithfields is the best saloon in RDR2 in my opinion.

The best saloon in RDR1 is Armadillo. (Classic western.) Spent many hours playing around in that town kinda the same now with Valentine.

Some of my other favs from RDR1 are Chuparosa, Thieves landing and Blackwater.

Chuparosa saloon was great. Would love to see it again in RDR 2.
