Land Mines

Features

  • The original texture from GTA III and GTA Vice City was restored.
  • Hidden pickups at Area 69 and the Big Ear which give 25 mines.
  • Key bindings that work with joystick/controller (mentioned on picking up a mine).
  • Shooting the mines or stepping on them will make them blow.
  • Mines can be attached cars and will explode on entering the car.
  • The mines take 2 seconds before becoming active when attaching to a car only.
  • You cannot place mines while on fire, falling or performing an animation.
  • Mines are lost when wasted unless you're dating Katie.
  • Mines are lost when busted unless you're dating Barbara.
  • You don't lose land mines if you have achieved 100% completion.

Found a bug: Placing the mine on top of a vehicle makes the vehicle disappear.

You used $411, but it is used on submissions, like taxi.

You used $Girls_Gifts_bitmask, but, it's obvious used.

Your mod break the game. If you want to store the data saving the game, use cleo vars, thread saving or at least an unused global var.

Also, I don't know how, but here after 5 mines, the total of remaining mines stayed 9999, then 9998 etc.

I did some changes and now I don't see the number of mines bug, and for $Girls_Gifts_bitmask it's not replaced but it's used to check if the player is dating katie or barbra, also I the number of mines value to a cleo var (@).

The button isn't clickable or the link isn't working after clicking? To download in mobile with Mega it's necessary to use the app (I don't know if it's always or some limit).

Try another browser.

I added a small update, sorry for not working on my mods frequently as I have connection issues IRL.
Anyways, here are the changes:

  • Recreated the whole script from scratch.
  • Mines pickup now gives 25 mines instead of 5.
  • Added a cheat to get 25 mines (increases 'Times Cheated' stat).
  • You don't lose land mines if you have achieved 100% completion.
  • Due to the new key bindings, the activation keys are now adjustable.
  • Moved big ear pickup to area 69 (can be picked up during Black Project or through the freeway bug).
  • Placing mines now depend on animation time to prevent issues with high FPS.
  • Added a new key combination which is now the same for Keyboard and controller.

Thanks, I found a bug I mistakenly put while making the 100% thing where the text shows the number of land mines before placing, for example you place the last mine you have but the text shows that you have 1 left. I fixed that and reuploaded the archive.

Land mines updated (7/17/2019):

  • You can no longer place land mines during cutscenes or while on turret of a car (or an object like minigun turret).
  • Now the script doesn't force the game to enable weapons scrolling and unhide weapons all the time.
  • Models aren't destroyed so that it's not required to reload them (which affects FPS).
  • Now there are two pickups, one in Area 69 and one in the big ear.
