Evil empire
I see you're running out of arguments against me. In case you didn't notice the OP hadn't posted an answer to the other help messages when I posted mine. 3 minutes ago, NoamMang said: As I mentioned, it's obvious that you do it to stroke your post counter - considering how the OP already got the answer before you posted in each topic I quoted you. (Not just answers, but also very decent help and tutorial videos - example: Dodo flight tutorial - you know, to learn something new, to learn new strategies.) Some persons prefer flying helicopters than planes and since I'm not telepath I can't know what the author prefers so I give an alternative choice. Maybe are you too mentally limited to understand this kind of thing? NoamMang
News flash from 2001. Helicopters are uncontrollable in GTA3. Mods do not count. Stop making excuses all the time. 3 minutes ago, Evil empire said: I see you're running out of arguments against me. Maybe if you read one of my previous posts - you'd see that I don't have a desire to conversate with you anymore - now I'm just letting you to spout random ad hominem attacks. As you said - you took mods as a diversion not to admit a mistake (not admitting reality) - well look what this mod-related diversion caused to this topic: complete derailing of the initial purpose of the topic. Of course, I do not deny taking part of this - since I admit reality. Please tell me the name of the circus where you work as a buffoon I feel I'm going to love your shows. (figures, it's in the vid in the OP) "My mother's my sister" trenchcoat dude's model is MALE02. Chonk's model is B_MAN2, who along with B_WOM2 and B_WOM3 are unused. They're set to spawn in SWANKSVILLE but that group isn't used. for one, can someone actually show me the unused pedestrians? ive never been able to see them. isnt swanksville a beta location? Motorik
Hello again, and sorry for bringing this topic back to life, but I found two possible reasons why this skin is inmune to gangs: 1) A friend of mine told me that the old guy is similar to a real mafioso called Tony Salerno (or "fat Tony"). This guy was a don during the 70s and 80s, and the fact that the mafias don't attack us while we are playing as the old guy could be a reference to his power as a criminal. 2) The other possible explanation is in a comment in the original video. Is too long and complex, so I'll paste it here: I have a theory about both why this guy is highest ranking ped and why he is basically immune from gang attacks. As other commenters have pointed out, there is a ranking system for NPC peds. For those who don’t know, the ranking system determines the likelihood of an NPC fighting back after provocation for example the lowest ranking ped is the obese man with a blue Hawaiian shirt and he will always run after being punched. The highest ranking guy is the ped shown in this video, who will always fight back after being punched. The mid ranking ped (I’m unsure which ped holds this position) will run 50% of the time and fight back 50% of the time. When the change character skin cheat is used, it also determines the likelihood of another NPC fighting them back. For example other NPCs will fight the obese man with a blue Hawaiian shirt back 100% of the time should he punch them. The highest ranking guy, as featured in this video will have other peds fight him back 0% of the time (including gangsters) and they will in fact run away 100% of the time. With this in mind, my theory as to why this particular pedestrian is the highest ranking ped is because he is the easiest ped to re-skin, so that his model can be used for other, minor characters. The reason he is the easiest to re-skin is because the majority of his distinguishing physical features are covered either by his trilby style hat or by his Mac style coat. All that has to be done is to lightly alter the facial features and maybe change the colour of his coat as is necessary and boom he looks completely different. You can see this yourself in the El Burro mission “Big ‘n’ Veiny” where his character model has re-used for the customers of the adult shop in the end cut scene. The only difference in this case is the addition of the magazine under his arm, the sunglasses and the beige coat as opposed to the dark green one used on the standard ped. The model is also used for Marty Chonks in “Her Lover”, his model gains a moustache and dark hair as opposed to grey for the standard ped model. But, why they make the NPC a war lord just because he is a frequent victim of model recycling? My theory is they’ve done this so that during the cut scenes when this model is used, to ensure that the cut scenes proceeds as Rockstar intended they had to make sure that the character model would not susceptible to be being interrupted by other hostile NPCs (be it standard peds, Police officers and gangsters). Otherwise other NPCs may attempt to fight a story character they’re not supposed to fight, thus possibly glitching a cut scene. In my opinion, the last explanation is the most likely, but the first one makes sense too. What do you think? I should ask, does it happen on the PC version as well or even in Xbox version? It looks like a PS2 version bug in my opinion. Maybe the cheat was supposed to work that way and the developments at Rockstar forgot to make it work for all skins and due that only works with the "old man" skin? It does I just used it on pc to do the paramedic mission Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/923980-why-this-skin-makes-you-enemy-proof/page/2/#findComment-1071303205 Share on other sites
