is this setup possible to be AFK and not pay bills?

Those utility and staff bills definitely pile up. Is it possible to shut down a business or two that i already have max nightclub units for that way if I go AFK overnight or whatever I don't get decimated? would i still have to pay anything at all for a business if i do that? and I assume i'll have to do the setup mission again when i want to re-activate it but i won't lose my stats for that business, or in case of the bunker won't lose completed research, or warehouse crates, etc? I hope it makes sense. Wanted opinions before i do anything cuz it's a big hassle regardless. i worry too if i shut down a joint, will i lose my nightclub cargo associated with that business, stuff like that.

i went afk overnight and ate through almost 200k. i know it's lazy to do that overnight, but it is what it is. whether or not it's ultimately worth it for me, i have yet to play around with it and determine if it's worthwhile...

i remember the good old days when all i had was my bunker :)

edit: but as i think about it more, i'm starting to think it's gonna be too much work to be worthwhile...

Just don't stay registered as CEO or MC. You still get bills, but it's nothing compared to the money you make from businesses.

AFK from contact mission is best. Players with many

Go at your office, start a contact mission from there(from Menu-->play job, not playlist), then watch TV in your office.

This way you won't pay taxes and when you're back you can either play the mission(full payout) or just "Find New Session" and return directly in freemode.

Hmmmm that's interesting! No taxes? But i still assume i must pay my staffs paycheck every 48 mins?

No. AFK in contact mission= you pay nothing, no taxes, no daily thing. Nothing.

Yet my nightclub, bunker, and biker business units will still accumulate ? ?

Yes. Read that thread, nothing fundamentally changed since then, beside Night Club were added.

Specifically that Jamwes post quoted below, its about optimizing your AFK time, its a good trick to pay less supplies and do stuff IRL meanwhile, it works as well with MC businesses and bunker.

Quote

Here's a tip for the AFK method, go AFK in a Contact Mission. You won't get charged any daily fees, not even utility, mechanic, or assistant fees. Also, there is a way to get a full bar of supplies for only $15k.

This is what I've been doing. First, make sure all of your supplies are nearly full. Buy supplies for only $15k, only a sliver needed to be used first. Before the supplies are delivered, start a contact mission. Go to your apartment, office, or clubhouse and go AFK by watching TV. The supplies you already had will be used and product will be made. The supplies you ordered won't be delivered until you return to free roam. After a few hours, either complete the mission or just fail it. When you return to free roam the bunker supplies will be delivered immediately and the MC business supplies will be delivered in 10 minutes. Theses supplies, which you bought for only $15k, will completely fill the supply bar.

Edited to add: it's recommend to retire from MC/CEO before starting the Contact Mission. If you're registered as one then you'll respawn as one on the free roam map. It is possible to be raided the moment you return.

Not all contact missions work for me this is really the best one:

Missions: Blow up!

You just blow up the cars requested that are all on the same spot, you then go to your office or appartement  sit on the couch watch tv then go afk.

Then when you come back you go back to the car dealer turn in your mission you get 18k and when you reenter a session you will notice your warehouse stock has increased but you didnt get any money in the vault also popularity is the same as when you started the mission so you can see the session was on hold and you also did not pay any bills!

Well I shall give your method a try, alright. I guess I'm just skeptical cuz as far back as a couple months ago I've seen people mention that watching TV doesn't let them go AFK. But under what circumstances Idk... I'll report back with what happens, thanks!

Okay I was doing it wrong... I rubber banded, but it seems like doing that and leaving the controller on kept triggering the idle kick after 15 mins. But interestingly enough when in free mode, I can rubber band and walk in circles so I can avoid getting idled from the lobby. So I just sat and started watching TV in my apartment and shut off the controller and it worked like a charm. That was my experience anyways

Anyways thanks for the help folks, yeah now just gotta refine how I do it to get the most out of my joints with supplies, etc and timing it all

You dont have to rubberband your controller mate! On pc you can alt tab out if you set gta to windowed mode, then for console you just shut down the controller.
