Naturalist was mainly good because they had to fix the animal spawns for it

I found it really weird that they didn't seem to care about them before that.

Happy Fourth of July...wish we could get an update with some Independence flair on the 6th.  But I will not hold my breath.  Even a crappy themed adversary mode would be appreciated.  If R* knew their butts from a hole in the ground, they would make a coinciding  rodeo event in RDO and a monster truck event in their arena in GTAO.  And do a variation every year, but I guess we will settle for the vegan posion lady and a 30 sec transformer into an opossum.

The update is coming on July 6th in my opinion. That's because Rockstar extends event weeks as a last-minute decision where they were prepared to release the update, but for some reason a delay happened - they acted similarly with GTA Online's After Hours update back in 2018, where they literally recycled event weeks from previous weeks and months, copy-pasting them before the update eventually arrived. Keep in mind that making an event week for the game isn't as easy as we tend to think - there's the decisional process about what bonuses and discounts to apply, then the actual application and testing to see if everything works alright, and then the marketing team has to make a Newswire post about it, and that also often includes a new promotional art for the event. It's a whole process, and it might happen that Rockstar fixes a date for an update, so this process of event weeks creation stops, but then they find a game-breaking bug, or there's a delay in Microsoft/Sony/Steam/Epic testing, or the art for the update is not ready, anything like that, and they don't have an event week ready, so they just extend the current one. Or simply they already knew this would be a 2-week event, so that they could focus on the release of the update itself, but decided to make it seem like it was extended the week after as to not throw people off. Fact of the matter is, this was no coincidence. I'm confident we'll see the update on Tuesday. And I'll have a laugh at myself if I'm wrong.

You're not wrong. In fact, ensuring tunable kinda stuff works is exactly one of the MANY things the Live Ops teams in NYC do - just look at one of the job listings for Live Ops coordination that's open right now and see for yourselves.

True but I used solo lobbies whenever I needed animals so the spawns were never an issue and that eliminates the good part of naturalist for me.

Used to have this problem for years with gta online and rdo,,, being kicked out every 5 minutes even, but then i bought tp link mr400 (under 100$ probably) and a internet dedicated sim card from my operator for it and stopped using my phones wifi connection for gaming.

The problem is gone. I have not been kicked out of the game since that so in about 5 months ive been playing without the kicks and errors. The game kicks you out because you have bad connection. Trust me.

Yeah. It's something interupting your connection. If you're on PC, something kicking in that causes a lot of hard drive activity can also get you disconnected. Have to make sure all auto updates/scans for your PC are off.

From a newswire nearly a month ago. We've gotten no news since then. In fact, all we've gotten is an all-but-confirmed delay to the update (I mean, why else would they extend the event week so suddenly for no apparent reason?). I highly doubt the update will be out by this Tuesday. At most, we'll get the aforementioned news, although I think we've already passed the point of "soon" lol.

 

My half-confident prediction is: additional news this Tuesday and actual release, at the latest (I hope), the next Tuesday- the 13th. If we're lucky, maybe they'll release it sometime this week. I know Moonshiners was released on a Friday, so there's precedence there, but who knows
