Cayo Perico Heist vs the Bounty Hunter extension (which came out near the same time).

In what f*cking world does that constitute as an even/fair treatment?

GTA Online got its first map expansion after " 7 " years, Red Dead Onlines summer update was bigger than GTA Onlines

I bought the standalone version in December after the gold nerf, in exactly 21 days i had already bought all the roles + bh expansion and the outlaw pass and maxed out all the roles (except naturalist because I didn't like it)

So no, there is not that much to do and even less things to buy

I like how you conveniently forgot that GTAO received heists a year and a half after it's release.

I can't come into this thread without getting angry anymore. It's clear this guy is a troll.

I figured out a while back he talks his stuff intentionally to annoy people. I can't believe he is as stupid as he makes himself sound so it has to be intentional. Either that or he's just a kid.

It's obvious he is not a long time player because if he were he'd know how utterly ridiculous his comment is about long time players having things to do and he'd also know the weekly rewards/bonuses/benefits give absolutely nothing to long time players. Everything is geared for pretty new players.

As the saying goes, there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Lets say you play 5h daily, 5x20 = 100h, 100h without maxing the Naturalist + without maxing the OP5 + without having a decent amount of gold and money for future content + without having some horses, this is pretty good for me, thank you for proving my point

By the end of the month I had 100 gold bars, after repeating the same missions over and over

100 gold are not enough for one update lmao, you do play grinding game so repeating is not an issue

He's right.

What you are forgetting is that GTAO makes at least 100times the money that RDO makes. Why would you or anyone expect the same level of service for RDO?

My god, we are even talking here on the GTA forums... RedDead is an after thought for them.

I don't believe after spending hundreds of millions of dollars making RDR2, not including it's

marketing, that R* thinks of RDO and or RDR as an after thought.

Compared to GTAO, RDO is an afterthought.

Nobody is disputing the fact that the latter makes them money.

Prove otherwise

I think your statment that GTAO is being treated the same as RDO is yours to prove.

Spoiler

Needless to say, its a nearly 8 year old game and its been trash since 2018.  The year Red Dead came out.  Its boring, clunky, and looks like crap.  Yet its still receiving updates bigger than Red Dead Online, the future of the flying bike game is known to the extent that R* allows, and received a new heist with a map recently, the inside of the casino is virtually the same thing as a small barren isalnd.  They are making bigger updates for flying bike game online because it makes money and the player base is a bunch of knuckle dragging spoiled children who are dumber than Jimmy Desantis.  Its hard to be mad at R* for this...I blame the people who play flying bike game online.  They released a standalone version of Red Dead Online to try and pump the online numbers and failed to even do that.  Flying bike online still requires GTAV with purchase 8 years later....why?  Because the people that play it, will buy something and never even play the best part. Red Dead Online will never be anywhere near flying bike online because the amount of effort and creativity to monetize it right is too risky when you can simply crank out cut and paste crap to flying bike online.  In 2015, a mere 1.5 years, the heists update came out which had more content than almost all RDO updates combined.  Although I still enjoy RDO because I like the world and daily challenges, the content is not even close.  GTAO had around 60 missions, 50 Races, and a creator with user based versions of DMs and Races.  There are around 12 missons in RDO maybe 20 if you count moonshine missions.  There are legendary bounties which are really the only thing even remotely different than GTAO.  Yet, all they are is glorified bounty missions.  There are so many ways R* could have made missions better, yet the legendary bounties are essentially the same mission over and over.

It was genuinely sad to see Red Dead get pushed over this winter while flying bike game received a heist.  But what are you going to do...play flying bike game online?  I would rather ride from Tubleweed to Annesburg over and over.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_reasoning

"Emotional reasoning is a cognitive process by which an individual concludes that their emotional reaction proves something is true, despite contrary empirical evidence. "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

"Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values.[ [.....]
The effect is strongest for desired outcomes, for emotionally charged issues, and for deeply entrenched beliefs."

EDIT: I don't see how anyone can look at RDO, compare it to GTAO, and come to the conclusion that R* is treating them the same. Emotional reasoning and confirmation bias could be explanations for how someone could come to that conclusion.

GTA V ,which came out in 2013, already has a confirmed next gen version since last year. RDR2 has nothing confirmed at all regarding upgrades and it came out in 2018. That tells me all I need to know about which one Rockstar prefers
