I am starting to doubt that these new robbery missions will just be stranger missions. Would be weird to waste an entire summer update on adding that. So it has to be more substantial. Man if the "high stakes robbery" has a similiar replayability and depth like the cayo perico / casino heist then I will be very happy. And ofcourse good pay too.

Tbf I personally don't mind if a minimum player count of 2 is needed. As long as it isn't more than that. The appartment heists in GTA are fun, but its aids to find 4 people via matchmaking.

R* is either tone-deaf, or these 8 races were finished already just waiting to go as an attempt to bridge a gap in content. Like throwing a Ritz cracker to a starving man. 

You can make the same poll about server-side content (Showdowns & races) in general and the majority wouldn't like them. But I hardly think these sorts of content would take away much resources from the next update. They would be made with an already established creator mode.

 

Level designers may experiment a bit with these new races. Who's to say these designers don't have enough time to work on side content like these?

If they got the same matchmaker as story missions then it is OK.

Personally I think the Island heist is boring! Mostly it is because it is boring to play solo!

In all Western movies and stories there was BIG posses and if we can't be at least 5 people or full big posse I would join but not host.

Tbf I personally don't mind if a minimum player count of 2 is needed. As long as it isn't more than that. The appartment heists in GTA are fun, but its aids to find 4 people via matchmaking.

They probably will release some free roam events, I doubt it will be small update because the development probably started in 2019

The Naturalist added new missions, new legendary animals, new free roam events ( Moonshiners did not) , Naturalist added 2 new passes (Moonshiners did not ), Naturalist added new game mode (the halloween one) (Moonhiners did not

Most of these is drip-feed content which is unrelated to the role itself and doesn't really count, since Rockstar could make an update with 200 missions in the game files and give us one mission a week for the next four years. Certainly the update itself would be huge technically because of the content inside it, but I don't think that it would be fair to consider it big... The Halloween content is its own thing, just because Rockstar started developing it early and included it in the files of Naturalist doesn't mean that it's part of the update itself, there's literally no other correlation to the Role other than it being put together inside the game files that most people don't even know about.

 

i know that Naturalist added new missions and legendary animals, obviously... except they're just rarer animals with more health and a different color. It's cool and all, but it doesn't exactly put it above Moonshiners. Gotta give it to you about the Free Roam Events though

My two cents... For those mentioning they'll extend the Outlaw Pass 5, this is unlikely to be able to be done without an update to the game since the expiry date for the vouchers is May 31st, which has been in the game files since Bounty Hunter expansion update for both passes of course.

 

The reason they were able to extend the Halloween Pass for nearly an extra month is due to the Pass coming out in October with the expiry date for the vouchers already being November 30th which was already set with the files in the game with the Naturalist update.

 

If they do indeed extend the Outlaw Pass 5 due to having to delay the Summer update if it's not completely finished by Rockstar standards or for some other reason we'll never know, then this should require a small update at least to change the expiry date in the game files at least so it's highly likely that if we get an update to download on Tuesday for the races if they are not added server side.

Perhaps Rockstar have hit into some last minute QA issues that means they have had to delay the update to mid-summer instead of June (which they wouldn't tell us any way if they have hit a delay) and have come up with the Races in the meantime to have a small update with hardly anything added except the Race assets / scripting to also extend the Outlaw Pass 5 due to the delay etc.

However, I do believe if we hear nothing for the update they're teasing for a June release I'm expecting it to be July, since July / December seems to be release windows Rockstar have decided for RDO content updates, the summer updates come in July and a smaller update comes in December.

I don't think there is a huge difference between Moonshiners and Naturalist, Rockstar used to release Red Dead Online big updates in the summer so I don't think the next update will be smaller than the Bounty Hunter Expansion update, I highly doubt

The normal number without sales, 3K-3200, this number goes up when they release new content or offer,offers make people buy gold/microtransactions, that's all

I couldn't think of any other way to put it, we know the standards are low heh! If there are any at all, since they broke the game last summer with one patch that was meant to fix something but took them a week (or was it two weeks) to fix it by rolling back the patch.

When they sold the standalone for $5 more people bought it on PC than on consoles according the R*, over 1 million on PC. So, 4,000 out of 1 million (.4%) is pathetic especially since that million was just 5 months ago, an embarrasing loss of players in such a short period of time, but we also have to include all the other players who have it for PC. This dude sees 4,000 as a great number. If you just base the 4000 off of those million new players around 996,000 (99.6%) new people have gotten bored or never intended on playing for long to begin with and have quit in just 5 months. He doesn't get it at all. On one hand he talks about what a great seller it is and what a great and popular game it is then talks about how only 4000 people are bothering to play. The numbers completely contradict what he says. That 99.6% who don't play is even higher when taking into account ALL players who have it on PC. That is not a recipe for success.

It's at the point that this guy says such outlandish stuff that I'm convinced he is just kidding around. There is no way a business person would think the way he does. Not a successful one anyway. He is trying to prove one point but is actually proving the opposite point and he doesn't even realize it. I can honestly say that nothing has made me happier in my 65 years on this Earth than the knowledge that this guy isn't running my businesses.

You have no idea about what are you talking about, there is a big difference between the numbers of current players and monthly active players, I doubt Red Dead Online sold 1m on PC, Last week Red Dead Online reached 3500 because of the event week, so this week numbers should be at 2800-3000,  4000 for the standalone and 23K for the full game, at least 35K play on PC if we include epic games, you proved that you do not know anything, btw Red Dead Online is the best selling game on Epic games thanks to the offer, Red Dead Online costs 15$ on steam instead of 20$, so do not expect very huge difference, to prove that you do not know anything, GTA V sold 20M copies on steam according to steamdb, but look at the numbers of current players. it is not even close, 90K from 20m,  Is this a failure?

As far as I know it's only the posse groups. 

 

And the posse only does so much for the game, as it allows us to play the game with friends/family. But what if they no longer play? So many of us have been lone players for so long now, and having an actual NPC gang to roam with or interact with would matter more to me honestly.

Camp is kind of a dismal place and I only go there if it happens to be in my area, Cripps is an annoying bore and if I could I'd take my dog with me or leave her at the shack instead. I want a group of personalities to liven up my character's life a bit, not to have to rely on other people to play in order to make that happen.

 

I'm with you on how this game makes me feel more like an outsider controlling an avatar than giving me the feeling that I am immersed in the world around me.

Regarding the vouchers, there's a server-side catalog consisting of two files that is downloaded each week overriding the client-side catalog. It's the equivalent of the tunables for GTAO. The expiry dates are listed within the server-side catalog, there are about 300 vouchers listed there with an expiry date set to May 31st. Accordingly, the expiry dates could be pushed back with a server-side update in the case Rockstar wants to delay the Outlaw Pass without requiring a client-side update/patch.

Now should there actually be game changing mechanics I only hope that it doesn't break the game. When we had to worry about our characters being erased after one of their updates, that was not a good time at all. One can hope they have figured out how to add these updates without seriously breaking the game itself.

If i am not mistaken the imran guy was responsible for frontiers until moonshiners, by naturalist he wasnt in the company anymore. Who ever has been in charge afterwards had done a terrible, horrific job...
