You will earn gold bars back from Outlaw Pass 5, it costs 35 gold bars and will return 25 gold bars, I’m assuming they will offer the same 10 gold bars return if you purchase the pass in the first week as they did with Outlaw Pass 4.

At least in 76 you can teleport to major locations; Vault 76, homebase of Raiders/Settlers/Brotherhood of Steel, your Camp/tent(And your friend's/team's)

And the cost of caps is actually fairly minor

 

RDR charging is just ridiculous, I simply change sessions to get where I want. Unfortunately the far north eastern corner is counted as "New Haven" for some f*cking dumbass reason

If OP5 is only 80 levels, I wonder if we will get an additional 20 levels in another pass? The only thing I can think of is Easter, akin to the Halloween pass last year.

Because they are not invested in this game and corporate is too afraid to reinvent the wheel from GTAO. At this point I'm convinced only entry level hires and interns are working on RDO. Maybe post COVID they'll redouble efforts, maybe there's a lot that needs to be done (motion capture etc) for some of the grander content ideas.

It's a shame. We really needed Cyberpunk to be good to put some pressure on Rockstar to finally move on from GTAO. If it had more stability and a 3rd person mode they could have put a serious dent in GTA's numbers. Not so much now.

Yeah, and it's worse when you think that CDPR is the only company that managed to breathe in Rockstar's neck. Here's hoping that they can get back on their feet because competition is always good for us consumers.

a story they got from a novellist

do two very simple Google searches, GTA V sold over 140 million copies, The Witcher series hit 50 million

4 cost 40 gold bars with a 5 gold bar return on the first week, and several -5 gold bar coupons throughout the weeks, and you get 35 for completing it

it literally cost you nothing and you get free stuff

you kids keep saying "oh well then I won't buy it" and ignore all the possible good stuff, like free collector items, free ammo, all sorts of free gear, and let's not forget all the passive skills like fast travelling from a temporary camp, or cooking 3 pieces of meat in one animation

you all act like Rockstar is forcing you to actually wear the outfits that are somehow all hideous or something, and you're in pain for doing so

finding caps in 76 is harder than getting those $3 in RDO

and you can easily, freely travel to any of the states, you can even fast travel to the state a second time if you didn't land where you wanted, and you can fast travel to camp

And for a series that came from an unknown studio (before 2015) that didn't have Rockstar's budget and dev number (I mean, look at Rockstar's games before Take Two era lmao) to have such sales and GOTY awards that put even RDR2 to shame...idk man. That's a huge achievement and not many studios can brag with that. Let alone that it changed the RPG genre especially in storytelling.

 

So yeah, they came close. If Cyberpunk turned out to be as amazing as Witcher, CDPR would've been really close. Even so, Cyberpunk broke some GTA V launch numbers and that tells a lot (biggest single-player launch in history).

- I can say the combat is weak, and Rockstar uses guns, you can't really say a lot about "point and click" combat, buddy

That is not a bad idea, the only reason I think it won't be easter is because it is too close to the release date of OP5. Last time they didn't let OP3 and the Halloween Pass overlap, I could be wrong and that is exactly what they could do this year.

I'll give you a pat on the back , but that has been coming for days.  How long before a "new" member comes along and starts posting similar things?  I was on a car forum a few years ago and we had a similar member that became a joke.  The mods would give him a few days off and he would come back and just start all over again.  One day one of the mods changed his screen name to "racehatchsisterf*cker" or something along the line.  It was great.  That name never really went away, and everytime he logged in to post, he had to use that name.

The Witcher was relatively well known though, of course not anywhere near R* level, primarily because it was a PC first franchise. Also TW3s budget was almost $80-85 million and it was made in Poland so a similar title made in the west would definitely take more amount to produce and that puts it in the GTAIV, RDR1 ballpark (both of them had $100+ million budget).

 

Cyberpunk did 13 million in 10 days. Even RDR2 did 17 million in 8 days. GTAV made a billion in 3 says, so almost 16-17 million copies in 3 days. It also did 29 million in 6 weeks from release outselling lifetime sales of GTAIV. 

And both GTA and RDR2 launched on two platforms on launch. I can just wonder what numbers will GTAVI do.

I said they came close as in they were on the right path to become competition some day. They weren't obviously direct competition because it's not easy to do that against a company that is consistently successful since 2001.

Every time I say that people instantly show the sales numbers of GTA (aka the most famous franchise ever) lmao. Again: they were on that path, but not exactly there.
