Oh, they'll eventually add robbing banks and trains, but it'll be years before that happens... if RDO actually lives that long.

 

It's pretty obvious that most players want to see that in-game, but highly desirable content like it is limited in RDO, so they'll withhold it as long as they can to try and make as much money as possible on content no-one asked for.

I have to admit the snow made the world even nicer. I enjoyed it.

I think it changes sometimes. I do remember a few times in the bayou it was snowing while 70 something degrees.

Yea, so you WILL be needing heavy winter gear in the great plains, New Hanover Ect.  It did snow in New Austin and the bayou, but I don't remember if the temp change was drastic.  You missed out.  They did a good job with it in this game IMO, not like GTA where they just put white color on the ground.

With all the snow we're getting in the northeast USA right now, they might as well turn on the snow now in game. It should be coming soon, maybe this week. If I recall right it lasted a few weeks or more last year, I know it was still going in January. Can't wait! Having the snow in game was a fun change of pace last year. And you have to bundle up or your cores degrade fast.

I have nothing against other players wanting snow, but I'm 200% with you on this.

 

For me, it's little more than an epic health drain and pain in the derrière.

 

My moonshine sales and a whole lot of other activity is going to come to a screeching halt when the snow hits.

The snow always wore out it's welcome real quick for me in GTAO but I'm looking forward to it in RDO. I've always wished the climate/survival aspect had a bigger impact so it'll be a fun change of pace, and a good excuse to put together another warm outfit or two to supplement my usual mountain gear.

The snow wasn't blinding 95% of the time, just snow fall and it sure wasn't as bad as the constant fog is. It wasn't snowing 100% of the time either, just snow on the ground. It didn't effect hunting either, not for me. Has nothing to do with Xmas. It's winter.

Looking forward to what you think @IamCourtney.  I know some people didn't like it.  Could make it tough to see herbs in eagle eye, but not that bad.  I loved when you could feel the heavier storms pick up, the winds start to blow harder and the snow comes down heavier.  Gave it a nice feel to wander into a saloon from the cold with the piano player playing xmas music(the xmas music lasted too long though). Man, I almost want to have an in-game holiday party lol

I would really enjoy the snow if not for almost every npc wearing rolled up sleeves/t shirts in blizzard weather that becomes an immersion killer

Visual effect only - last year I was only wearing light clothing around Lemoyne and had no temperature issues.

I agree with this. The same weather all the time is boring. It's something I have wished for since day 1 actually. Would be cool to go through the forests during autumn and see leaves changing color.

Yeah, I dunno if I'd want the game to just always match the real world seasons but an annual cycle in-game where each season lasts a week or two would be friggin neato.

I don't remember it being a problem in RDO, beyond it seeming weird that there was always snow on the ground in the

desert area I was always in at the time    I still played totally fine.

 

I could have sworn it actually made the roads stand out MORE, so if anything moonshine deliveries were easier?

It would be better I think to have server options in GTAO/RDO where people could choose snow or not. And then have snow last a good solid month for those who wanted it.

You have a lot more rain and thunderstorms in Roanoke ridge than in Rio Bravo...

 

Could assume that they are fixing snow wherew it is supposed to snow...

I grudgingly bought Outlaw Pass 4 and I'm still dismayed at the lack of content.

Working my way to completing it, but after seeing Outlaw Pass 5 and the rank unlocks (thanks to @AdamNortonUK) I'm seriously considering not buying it or any future Outlaw Pass.

I still love this world, but I'm fearful of the future of the game.

The path they're on with these Outlaw Passes, I genuinely don't understand it.

It never snows up there. Sure there is snow on the ground, but in multiplayer mode it never snows there in freeroam.

They have suffered a massive blow due to covid... it is that or they got lazy... we dont know, but even their spoiled child gtao dropped the ball this year too, so yeah, i would bet on the former... they couldnt hold their sh*t together, thats fact. Outlaw pass 3 was made at the end of last year, and 4 and 5 this one in the mid of the pandemic... and although 3 wasnt as good as his predecessors, it is miles ahead from his succesors.
