In some ways it is a last-ditch attempt; at least before R* has to "resort" to actually adding content that players have been asking for.

 

They've unsuccessfully tried everything else, and I'm willing to bet that--unlike GTA Online--there isn't enough natural influx of new/curious players to generate a satisfying revenue for Take Two.

I'm highly speculating that the armored gatling gun vehicle that was introduced in the latest legendary bounty will most likely be purchasable down the line at some stage when Rockstar introduces heists.

What makes me laugh is unlike last year, this year R* actually have the RDO update time to breathe and time away from the GTAO update, unfortunately the update we got this year wasn’t substantial at all. I’m thinking if the updates were reversed and we got bounty hunter expansion update last year and moonshiner this year a lot more people would play and people’s views on the game and update would be different.

We will get some weapon variants, shi*y discounts, trash clothes and a bonus like 5 gb for logging to game. Don't expect anything special from these greedy b*stards.

I was originally doing bounties, to get xp for the outlaw pass.

 

Today I started finishing collections I was close on, at 1500 xp turn in each!

So now I'm up to 88 outlaw pass.

I jumped about ten levels by selling my mismatched Collections. I suppose I could do a Collectors session and finish them all.

I just levelled up by picking up collectibles and doing the dailies, of course it depends a lot on how long you play.

Shine and trader sales are worth quite a bit, plus there's a 2000 XP voucher in the pass itself.

Bounties probably have the least XP of the roles except maybe Naturalist, I spent very little time scrounging for Harriet, got tired of that schtick really fast.

TBH I don't expect any login bonus, especially not gold.

Discounts on things most players already own or crappy horses/saddles or clothes no one uses, for sure.

 

They should have thought this thing through ages ago, before there was this massive gold proliferation.

If the economy was thinned out 1 1/2 years ago or at the start there would have been fewer players, but they've really lost any capability they may have had for connecting with their customers, since that's all we are to them.

 

Even after nerfing gold payouts and pissing everyone off they still haven't provided anything of worth to buy with it.

Not one damned thing.

We don't need more ways to make money.

Starting out it still only takes a few weeks to get rolling, and then it becomes easier, to the point where you don't have to count pennies any more.

We need something very substantial, actually many things, to spend cash and gold on.

Without something to work toward it's simply an empty grind.

 

Like in GTA, 7 years on and there's still nothing really big to buy. The yacht and the gold jet cost $10m each, and they're useless. Basically cosmetic.

It's like reading a book the author never finished, the last page is blank, the story's not sorted out, everything's just left hanging.

"to be continued"...except it's never continued, they just start a new story with different characters.

Maybe they don't know how, but with all those profits they could certainly find someone who could come up with a point to all this, in both games.

There are plenty of talented people right here who could do it easily.

After finding out the $75 reward is only given out once per bounty board all my interest in this update has disappeared (there was barely any to start with). I do want to complete the OP but I am not even sure when I will do that, they took all my motivation!!!

 

As a player of both RDO & GTAO I am extremely conflicted. I love R* for how they treat GTAO and hate them for how they treat RDO.

Don't worry, you don't have to rush to finish the OP, there are 3 months to go and I'm sure there will be some XP vouchers near the end and some xp bonuses down the line aswell.

That was my EXACT thought process, I was genuinely excited to get back to BH because of the good rewards. I could do one of the three parts a day and walk away with a sweet $75 bonus at the end, my time is richly rewarded. But no, R* decided to f*ck it up and keep BH as the gimped bitch boy Role with terrible payouts.

 

R* does realise that with the $75 bonus you only make $180 for nearly four hours work once you break it down (fifteen minutes for each Bounty to run down the timer and 60 real world minutes for the cool down times by three for each part). I can set Moonshiner going and make $225 in forty eight minutes for little to no work or keep Cripps stocked and make $625 in around three hours.

Naw, they feel like part of an update, throwing an outlaw pass on top of it just felt lazy compared to their big talk in interviews.

 

Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying them, but that feels like all there is this time around.

 

And yeah there needs to be more to spend on, cash is still way easy to make but outside of a horse I don't have anything to save up for. Even then I doubt I'd have to save anyway, I think I've made at least 4k already since the update just from the new bounties mixed into my normal play.
