Ah, fair point. Still seems like a macguffin to justify them not using Fort Mercer for the billionth time for something happening in New Austin. I love RDR1 but take away Mexico and West Elizabeth and the remaining area really is a tutorial area with nothing happening in it.

The difference between GTA and RDR is content! So if R* really wants people to buy gold they need to ad good content like heist, wagons and houses! They even stated that we are going to move away from the camp and i hope we don´t need it anymore!

 

And IF we are going to own a place of your own they really need to update the map. As I can see it and not sound like a broken record the map need a update. This leads to a conundrum why they never optimized the map for online when creating the game!

Mostly because they was thinking of adding an online part to the game to earn more money down the line.

since the update, did they CHANGE something about legendary animals? I shot that spirit bear, as usual, with EXPRESS AMMO, and before the update I could still skin the animal. BUT THIS TIME, I was told the animal is ruined....not allowed to use explosive bla...well, I did NOT, still, ruined.

You get the emote coupon after you found a Collectible. And the XP as a Outlaw Pass 4 owner. Probably takes 12 to 72 hours.

Rockstar confuses me. 

 

Why didn't they just leave the dailies alone and not piss off their whole player base - and then just deliver good content. I wouldn't even mind dropping 100 gold bars on that war wagon.

They took a gamble on RDO two years ago (esp. releasing it as an beta alpha), and it's not paying off like they hoped it would... so they're backtracking on their own previous decisions (boosting dailies with gold) to try to tighten the noose and squeeze money out of it.

 

Re: good content shortage: I'm not sure if there's a genuine shortage of devs to do the work needed because of other game development, or if they're just ticked off that RDO isn't paying off like they hoped?

 

But there is no evidence whatsoever so far to make anyone believe that good content would show up even -if- players suddenly spent a bunch of real money for gold bars.

 

When GTA Online launched, it had a pretty good foundation of content that players liked and kept them interested--not to mention a wider general appeal than RDO has.

That's a horrible game design though, you design content worth spending money on, not the other way around. The player base shouldn't have to utilize their microtransactions just for them to feel incentivized to add a minor amount of content.

This is it exactly; R*/Take Two isn't willing to invest the time and money into making a game that players -want- to pay gold bars for.

 

And until they wake up to that fact, RDO will continue to slowly tank.

It's $126,634,760 in 2020 dollars, and $4,036,811 in 1899 dollars. (Funnily enough the inflation calculator site I used asked me if I came from RDR2 when I put 1899 as the start date)

This is assuming that the gold bars are 500g bars (if someone has a better idea of the size please let me know), and using the Royal Mint's buying page to get prices.

well tomorrow is my last day in this  game already rank 100 in pass ,  March  update should not be another 10 level for any role for the love of god.

 

 

At least daily nerf improve my life now only play like 10-20 m from 1 -2 hours before nerf

Not exactly. GTAO became what it is today after Heists update. Before launching heists they were still planning SP dlc which shows online wasn't THAT profitable. So yeah, if they want money they should show reasons to spend first.

Just my opinion, but I believe it's because GTA Online had substantially far more game play variety than RDO does--especially when you compare them at launch.

 

Aircraft alone (for players like myself) provides significant game play hours that RDO can still only dream of... plus fun elements like muggers, mercenaries to take out other players, extensive tunnel systems, etc.

THAT is a game meta changing addition to RDO and I can see why people fear it being added to Online. Might as well have just added the Armoured Kuruma and been done with it. Yes, you can just take out the horses but still...how long before we get an upgrade taht comes with Armoured Horses?

But people are still buying the game so obvious people want what the game has right now. Some of those new players will buy gold (more of them than before because it's more difficult to earn) and that will fund future updates. It's not like the game has nothing anybody wants.
