Very well done. IF that was my first exposure to OL I'd be placing my order pronto.

But how do you connect that to this? Must be separate depts.

The new player bounties are a nice addition. I also like the fact that we don't have to travel far for some bounties now. Does anyone know how much of a bounty a player has to have for us to hunt them down now?

the lowest player bounty I've seen was right around $6

I know we don't need any further confirmation that a 5th outlaw pass is coming, but if you look closely at the locked photos in the moonshine shack, you can see that R* managed to leak it themselves:

Quality.

If you go to the stable and look at the hunting wagon you can see there is a liveries button for it but it’s greyed out, good chance the next update in March will be a trader expansion (OP5 items seem to support that as well) I’m just hoping we can actually own a storefront somewhere with the expansion.

Looking forward to the Bounty Hunter role,  when it snows.

This is the new intro cutscene, pretty cool actually.

EDIT: Volume is a little low on this video.

Ok, but imagine how great that video would be...if the RDR1 multiplayer announcer was narrating it.

Actually this update wouldn't be so bad if they added some new weapons and didn't nerf gold payments. I enjoy infamous bounties very much.

Why wouldn't it be safe?

People were reporting not getting OLP XP when they turned them in. That's thousands and thousands of XP lost if the glitch hits you.

I'm guessing the audio clips of Seth are related to that. Grave robbing as a Trader expansion? Cooking for cannibals?

Im more worried about what im gonna do when i maxed out OP4 quickly. Since i already maxed out bounty and they nerfed daily challenges payout, the main reason for me to play is leveling up OP4 with occasional daily here and there.

Grave robbing more of a collector thing, it is even a dynamic event in the game where you help a grave robber dig out a collectible in a cemetery. So maybe they are planning on expanding all 3 original FP roles, I just hope if that's the case we get collector and trader in one update or they are both accompanying something bigger because even though this update made the bounty hunter fun to play it is not enough for an update all to itself.

Finally did all the Infamous Bounty posters. They're good fun in small doses. I think it's cool that the bounty on the poster ties a bit to the location. I had a good chuckle at the one that Harriet posted a bounty for.

The Pike’s Basin photograph is also locked until you’re able to unlock it with Outlaw Pass 5, I mentioned it a few pages back with my assumption that we will have a small Trader or Naturalist role expansion or both in March/April 2021 to keep us going until the big summer 2021 update.

Speaking of which, I do miss his presence here currently. Maybe he's finally just had it too, lol. Couldn't blame him of course, although do hope all is well with the man

Almost everything R* have done in and around this latest update has p*ssed me off to the point where I've uninstalled RDR2.

A 10 rank extension to one Role and an Outlaw Pass is supposed to be an end of year update? Nah. On top of that the nerf to Daily streaks and challenge payout is just insulting. Outlaw Pass 5 being included in this update also shows just how far away the next update will probably be.

I can't do it anymore, I can't wait for each Tuesday to come around to be served up some gaudy, overpriced cosmetics and pointless discounts and updates every 4-6 months that seem like they have taken about a week's worth of dev time to put together.

I hadn't played in around a month before the update dropped, I've started my own business and between that and family time I don't have much time spare for gaming right now, but when I checked back in on update day thinking I'd have an evening off to play and then was greeted with this sh*t I knew I was done.

I was a bit hyperbolic (unheard of for me amirite 🤣) on Twitter on Tuesday, I'll probably be back if/when something like Heists happens and I've got enough cash and gold to jump straight back in and catch up, but it's going to take something of that magnitude to get me to reinstall.

My constant disappointment in R* since 2017 has caught up with me, I can't justify spending the time and energy on a game they clearly don't give a sh*t about.

Likewise here, but glad to see all is well and see you pop by though. :)

I've given this game a bit of a bashing of late, but was pretty close to giving up before this DLC after a few false starts, lol. Like you, this update just more so confirmed it's time to concentrate elsewhere and maybe pop back if/when something significant comes to RDRO. We'll see, but hopefully now the new gen of consoles are starting to roll out, we start seeing some good stuff come along too.

But onwards and upwards, I'm done caring as too many are just giving R* licence to be this poor. Can't fight crazy. 🤣

Take care man. 🍻🤠

I've only played the story off and on for the past 4-5 weeks myself. Once you get away from online for a week or so you find yourself having no desire at all in going back to it, the "habit" is broken. The feeling is like finally being liberated from prison. 🙂

I check these forums because I like some of the people here and enjoy reading their comments.

This is also a part of why I've taken a step back. I've no desire to become that guy who spends his days arguing online.

I'm happy for people who are enjoying the game, or at least can find aspects of the game they enjoy, but my opinion that R* are doing the bare minimum isn't going to be changed until I see some content that clearly took some effort.

I'd rather pop back periodically to catch up than be here every day being negative.

When I've got a bit of spare time I might reinstall for another SP play through on PS5, but I'll wait until I've really got the itch to play again.

You're right, it did feel liberating. I've been playing SP games when I have some downtime, AC Valhalla, SM Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima mostly. As SP titles they aren't close to SP RDR2 IMO, but, again IMO, they are superior experiences to the current state of RDO.

I haven't missed playing RDO at all, but I have missed some of the people here, which is why I checked this thread out today.

Yeah, you make a fair point. There's some good folk here and I don't mean to rain on their parade really. Just frustrated and feel some of it needs calling out is all.

But with that said, I shall take a leaf from your book and enjoy the reading and other sections of these forums for now. :)

Yup. I have 4 other games that I've ignored for a loooooong time due to RDRO, but they are actually great games and continue to receive updates which makes them remain great. It's been a lot of fun spending my former RDRO time in those other games again and I find myself wondering why I let RDRO take me away from them for as long as it did.

It definitely needs calling out.

I've been calling out R*s bullsh*t since Gunrunning and I'm tired of doing it. I feel like there are too many apologists and too many people who can see the same faults I see but continue to play, I was one of those people and I can't justify it anymore, I can't keep screaming into the void, it doesn't feel healthy or constructive for me.

I might start posting in General Chat or Expression, but I don't know.

As you said before, habit, or at least that's what it was for me. That and the hope that the next update would improve the game significantly, then when that didn't happen hope on the next update, but I'm done doing that.

I'll play again if and when R* actually deliver something that interests me and gets me excited.

Your presence will be missed my dude, take all the time you need. Hopefully by the time you come back, Rockstar would have added enough for you to come and play through. I'm really upset with how Rockstar has handled things as well. Truth is I only boot up Red Dead Online very quickly to do one daily and then log out, but if I'm socializing with my friends on Discord I'll play it in 40 to 60 minute bursts doing daily challenges and moonshiner/trader runs. That's about it.

I have a few things cooking, one of which is uploading musical guitar videos of me playing along to the score of RDR2, if you're keen I'll be happy to share these videos with you when they arise.

Until then, peace. ✌️🤠

I've spent a lot of time in RDO. The world they created spoiled all other (open world) games for me, they just don't compare.

Took a 3-4 month break earlier this year, came back and remembered what I love about the game so much.

Will max out the Outlaw Pass now, see how long the new Infamous + Legendary Bounties hold my interest.
If I take another break - so be it. Constant disappointment with, and anger at R*, just drains my energy.

Good luck with your new business, hope it thrives and progresses as you envisioned it.
