No chance they release anything without trying to build hype. This game has been dying a slow death for too many while waiting and I'm sure many walked, if even temporarily.

 

They'll want to hype this up as much as in hopes to draw more, and with the casino having a long build to go on to smash it numbers-wise according to R*, they'll at least try with a couple of weeks of info here before release.

 

I expect another 2 week event more than any content. (Though would be glad to eat those words, lol).

Yeah I also don't think they will shadow drop it.

I thought the update will be today, but since they didn't announce anything for the past couple of days, now I believe it will be Aug 27 or Sep 3.

 

I can't see them doing the same with the Summer Update as they did with the Spring Update. They need to build some hype for this one.

I can only imagine how hard the devs must be working on this update. Probably 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week, maybe even more. Poor guys, and to think most of the player base is bitching at them for not delivering fast enough...

The problem is that we aren't getting enough information. They've been blueballsing us with this update for months now and all we know for sure is that three roles will be added. I think most of us would at least appreciate an ETA or something.

People usually bitch about a company that makes billions, uses that crunch crap, and still takes a sweet time to deliver things.

I recall reading some articles on the web about the harsh conditions R* put their workers in. sh*t's sucky as all hell, but we of course don't notice that since it's all happening behind closed doors. Take me for example, I've only had one day off work this month, I work my ass off 10 hours a day, and not even my colleagues notice that, not to mention other people. I've had my boss commend me exactly once in the last two years, saying how much of a good worker I am and telling everybody else to f*ck off because I have too much on my plate already as is. How often do we praise the devs for making a quality product we all enjoy? Most of us never do that.

The ire is aimed at those making the decisions, not the help, lol.

 

They could grow as a company to keep up with obvious demand that clearly makes them billions.

 

Why be cheap and flog the staff when they could grow and dominate. They only risk losing players while offering so little with such long gaps between anything substantial. Besides, they said stay tuned as they have info coming, it's been weeks and nothing. Talk about baiting folk/keeping 'em on a hook.

That's what I've experienced. Anytime between 12noon and 2pm for tunabowl here, GTA's at around 10am. 

 

Every week here it seems as though folk are logging in here earlier and earlier and dooming the day, lol.

They did release an interview to the press after that. Rockstar was known for releasing updates without any trailer, or announcement before the Doomsday Heist. That two week long event makes me confident that something is going to happen today. Another thing, tunables didn't get updated today (no new clothing or anything), pretty sure they get updated around this time.

The same they done with gta, first told us it will be 1 week bonuses and then expand them to another week with more info about casino and release date so that can be the case here too
