I guess I'm one of the few that has higher hopes for it.  Something really savage rather than some GTA clown show.

Tempted to print these out on glossy paper and make reversible covers for my GTAV and RDO games. After a little Photoshop to correct the console names.

I'll have 2 each. send me your credit card # and we're in business!

There's interesting activity on SteamDB as qabeta2 is getting updated constantly, which may indicate a possible patch releasing soon. This may explain the odd timing of the matchmaking changes that occurred this Monday.

Well, that gives me slight hope Rockstar might be updating the game for the next-gen stuff. But I'm keeping my expectations low. RDR2 would be an excellent showcase title for the next-gen consoles.

I'm curious to see what role is being modified, the best I can think of is more bounties/types of bounties for the bounty hunter role, maybe extend outside criminals?

At least boost the resolution to native 4K on the PS5 - the checkerboard rendering from PS4 Pro is bloody awful.

fun fact; some checkerboard code is still left in the PC version.

just code to read it in the system.xml is not there anymore

At this point my PS4 is a machine that lets me play RDO/GTAO without cheaters and couch co-op games with my wife. All my other gaming is on PC. With Sony's plans to start releasing their first party titles to PC, I don't forsee much changing in this regard, so R* would need to offer some pretty compelling incentives for me to essentially buy a new console just to play their games on.

A Deputy/Marshall update like Bounty Hunter but instead if just tracking down Bounties you need to investigate Cattle Rustling, Murders etc.

Something that takes some time. Have to visit different towns & NPCs etc rather than ride around for 5 minutes in Eagle Eye and investigate clues.

Non Funkable Token

Interesting: received a Club voucher that expires on January 13th. Could mean nothing, or not.

It would be awesome to have the Player Bounty modified to this:

the player or posse who start killing another player(s) randomly without a reason (blue blips), lets say at least three times in a row, a message will pop up for all the players who have the role in that state to hunt the agressor for X money and gold, like it already happen with the normal Player Bounty, but enhanced.

This would be marvelous to hunt griefers ^^

if I'm a griefer crew, I'd abuse this.

Step 1: grief other people as usual
Step 2: one member of that crew doesn't take part in the killings but stays close, waits for the prompt, his crew buddies let him get easy kills
Step 3: take turns

Here is how they fix bounties:

They introduce an outlaw role and actually give players a reason to get a high bounty, if a player has a high bounty other players who are bounty hunters will go after them. If this really want to make it fun this is what they will do, when they introduce heists they make it where once you complete a heist, and lets say it pays well like $300-500, you can't actually make that money unless you survive an in-game day (48 real minutes) without being killed or brought in by bounty hunters. The bounty on your head should be around $100 and players should only know your general area, bounty hunters and lawmen must work together to figure out your location, if you survive the day you get the money from the heist, if you are caught you get half that money and bounty hunters get a full reward, if you are killed they should get like a quarter of it.

The payouts and risk/reward ratio of your concept might need a little tweaking, but I like the idea

If I was R* I would put up a Newswire on Friday about my RDR2 plans for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Just sayin'.

Not sure if I understand correctly, you mean one member out of the posse stays close to get the pop up and get the reward, then he gets in and another one leaves and repeat ? Is that it?

The game will know you’re part of it and unless the leader kicks you it would work just once so you would have to jump sessions to redo it, not worth the struggle for the low pay. Also, the abusing is easy to adress having a cooldown. To farm money and gold would be better to just do the usual rotation of roles, events, dailies and missions.

Is it just me or does the entire moonshine shack not make sense. Why is the bar in the basement??? We shouldn't be buying a shack, we should buy a bar (MAIN FLOOR) and the moonshine operation should be hidden in basement. Maggie and the bar should switch places. If we are trying to hide from the law we should own a legit bar and have our operation hidden underneath, similar to nightclub or arcade in GTAO.

The bar is a speakeasy, the entire operation is illegal. Moonshiner is the criminal variant of the Trader role pretty much.

Eh, I get where you're coming from but I imagine there were locations not too dissimilar that existed in the real world, speakeasy's I'm guessing used whatever space they could to exist, function over form and all that.

Saying that, the bar being a legal operation that was the front of the operation would have been cool. You can run it legally for a small passive profit, or stock it with moonshine for extra profit but you can draw the attention of the sheriff's or something.

Would have been more interesting than the delivery mechanic anywho.

This is one example where they actually under-charged us.  To dig out,  furnish and decorate that joint would have cost a fortune.
