Which is still good considering for V SP characters have 1024x1024 while NPCs and online character are only 512x512.

Oh I understand the reasoning but it's still jarring. They could have made it so that the HD textures only load on our screens but other players see the low ones.

No, sorry, I mean that the HD textures on our characters are shown on our screens but our character model is of lower quality when seen by other players in the game.

Well, I agree but there's a difference between spend GB in something that is worth and spend 15 GB in some garbage outfits that you won't probably be using anymore after a week.

I wish there were outfits at least, they are just a couple of filters, camp flags,a gothic theme for the bar that will be out of place for the rest of the year, a toys r us weapon for your nephew etc within other cosmetic crap, and a only one fancy looking variant for a weapon... Basically 2 weeks of work at max... i am really asking myself what the hell did they invest those 5 months in...

Weve been doing that for almost 3 years now and what have we got to show for it? Stop giving rockstar leeway with this kind of stuff and theyll stop making it. It's very hard to find "player proof" locations in RDO, but I keep finding new locations for losing cops and lawmen.

 

I just found two more spots last night that pretty much shows up RDO's pathetic AI for what it is... either completely dense (read: downright laughable if you saw the video), or over-powered. I won't be posting it publicly though--they're way too helpful for losing cops.

I know this is still controversial but I still think that cars would be a great addition to the game. Keep them in the "vehicle" section, pay if destroyed etc. 

 

They should always be slower and less agile than horses. Just a display of wealth.

A natural limiting factor, but they could still be useful in some areas.

 

I will be very surprised if R* never adds them to RDO, seeing as it would be a massive money and gold bar sponge for them. The same with bicycles and motorcycles--and both are completely plausible for RDO.

 

Horses will always be the most versatile 'vehicle' in the game though--they can swim through rivers, jump fences, trudge through swamp mud, etc.

If a wagon can ride on it then a car can ride on it. Thats also a good thing as horses will always be the superior "ATV" of the game, the idea of someone rolling their expensive car into a ditch while someone rides past like a boss on their horses is the exact way I want to see them implemented. A show of wealth, nothing more.

Agreed, I have said for a long time that we need something to drastically change the games meta. Properly balanced motorised vehicles would do this as well as Hot Air Balloons.

This as well, no vehicle should ever outclass the Horse in terms of versatility. Even a Hot Air Balloon would take ages to ascend and descend or move according to the wind so even the ability to fly would be slower than the horse in the long run.
