Forgive me double barrel rifled lovers! but that crap only works with PIB and you know it.

They got a lot of things backwards: the poster child for fuxed up firearms is the Volcanic. Of course if it was realistic (really, really, REALLY poor damage), no one would ever use it, but still.

 

I'd love to have those Remingtons, they were always my favorite revolver.  

For now I'll stick to the LeMats, even though they were super rare in reality.

So when I get them back I let them go hungry and don't clean them for a bit just to teach them. It doesn't matter much, but it makes me feel like I got my point across. 😄

I also had my horse walk straight in front of a moving wagon and get trampled right in front of me, but that was in story mode with Arthur.

 

 

Sometimes NPCs in Saint Denis walk into the train too, and when I'm driving it I get wanted. Wtf? How is that my fault?

To be fair, visually, RDR2/RDO doesn't really need a remaster. The main reason I want a remaster is if it comes with the R* Editor.

Nothing new.

 

There's only 2 hats left in the dripfeed and for some reason R* seem to think they're worthy of being held back.

Leftover Pizza

Something is up. My PS Pro sounds like it's trying to lift off again. It hasn't done so since lobby size got reduced. Now it's back at revving up again. 🤔

You know...now that you mention it, when I have turned on my old pro it hasn't been loud at all.  I was thinking it was the cooler air since I live in the Northeast US, so the cool nights are here now. But you are probably right, not working so hard in smaller lobbies.

I do apologize if this has been answered, but does anyone have a guess when the Halloween stuff is going to actually be released?

If R* sticks to Tuesdays it's got to be either the 20th or 27th.

 

Friday the 30th isn't impossible, R* have started "holiday" events in GTAO separate from the usual tunable day in the past, but I think it's improbable.

Looking at the design of the Garrack Hat, it wouldn't surprise me if that comes alongside the Halloween content.

Thanks! 😁 I hope it's the 20th so we can at least use some of the items for more of the spooky season and all.

It seems like they feel that more traditional clothing items would be boring I guess? 

Personally I want clothes that look have a more lived in look to them, take John's vest. He's missing buttons, got rather rough sewn edges where it was ripped and repaired hastily. I want clothes that have that kind of aesthetic to be honest. Nothing with cow print, or intricate designs etched into it. And I pray to the gods that the designers never see anything worn by country singers and actors back in the day, can you just imagine those rhinestone laden coats and fringe shirts.. 🤮

Knowing R*, it will be released, and broken, around Xmas.

Getting in the mood with some themed content a week or so before feels ok, but there's nothing more sad than having Halloween stuff linger for too long afterwards.

 

20th Oct - 3rd Nov feels about right. Gives players plenty of time to rank up the 20 Halloween Pass ranks and enjoy the content without having the Halloween event encroach on the run up to Thanksgiving.

Since NPCs can sell treasure maps to us, I wonder why can't we do the same? If there are any concerns of players exploiting this, they can always set it on cooldown upon reaching a max limit. We already have a 3-day cooldown for same species of LAs, so I don't see any reason stopping them from doing that, except maybe game bugs.

Maybe the latter is quite a big deal to them, or it's the possibility of experiencing a chaotic state similar to the cheating that happened back then in GTA Online.

I feel the same!

 

Imagine from the start of December slowly keep adding decorations to towns and we can visit some as they turn the lights on or something all building up to Xmas day. 

 

Same with Halloween or even fireworks day or 4th July celebrations, with big bonfire parties and a firework show too. (Maybe add a passive area to the map we could stand in to enjoy it or it'll be 'interacting' heaven, lol).

Selling items to NPCs (other than the standard vendors like butcher, fence, etc.) is a great idea for extending immersion and interaction with them. The only reasons why I suspect R* probably won't implement it is because it could potentially overlap/interfere with future roles, or it would open a road R* doesn't want to go down (players asking to sell unwanted clothing, etc.).

 

I'm just curious if you're thinking of the same reason as to why I'd want to sell a treasure map--which is to get some kind of money for the map locations I'd rather not bother with (e.g. Brandywine Drop)?

 

In any case, I've often wondered why R* didn't extend GTA Online with the ability to sell items to NPCs other than cars to Los Santos Customs (even at a substantial loss)? You could argue it might draw attention from new money-making game play R* introduces, but I'd argue it adds greater variety and depth to game play.

Hmm; just gave me an idea on unwanted clothing items. Instead of selling them (so that R* is happy), it would be nice if players could at least "donate" them to a downtown mission in St. Denis.

 

e.g. You walk up to a box or person just outside a mission, and then select "Donate"; it brings up a screen where you select the item(s) you want to get rid of.

 

Would still be immersive, and a plausible way to increase your honor, too. ;)

I should have kept my original post as it was, but to clarify more, I'm not that much interested in doing it to NPCs, I was more curious why can't we do it between us, the players. To me, that would at least be an initial step in extending "player interaction" to more than just PVP, and lift the bar for the quality of life state of the game. Provides a reasonable motive to approach other players, other than just hanging around them and presumably annoying them in the process.
