Update is much smaller on PC my bruddah. It was confirmed a while back that the updates on console are much larger for some reason, can't remember why.

I just got home to be greeted with this. I'm about to log in now to have a quick peek and I'll see if there's anything of notice has changed.

It is the firmware on the console!

I dont give a sh*t if the servers are full. Are NPC, animals and random events spawning at the volume they did with smaller Lobbies? NPC spawns were upto SP levels of them wandering about, towns felt alive.

I don't see anything in the patch notes about fixing low-count lobbies. Rockstar is pretending the issue never happened I guess. If we have full player lobbies, and everything works including common random encounters, then I'm a happy camper. We'll see.

same here, but it was connected to each other, so its important to know, if max players are there + npC/ wildlife is there, too

This is the issue. I'll play in 30 player lobbies all day with little complaint, IF wildlife is abundant, random events and Legendary Animals spawn, towns are filled with NPC's and the disconnection/blackscreen issues are gone.

 

The game working and being stable is far more important than PlaYEr iNTeraCTiOnS.

it's 2019's patch.today's not out

No. I saw no NPC in either camps at Blackwater, and the only animals to reliably spawn are the bison and squirrels, sometimes pronghorns. In fact, I saw more bison than deer and NPCs combined.

Yeah I accidentally put the wrong link in the post. I've fixed it. I copied the wrong link lol. Nothing in the new patch notes says anything about low-count lobbies.

Nah, they would rather have the game be boring and lifeless as long as Little Jimmy f*cknugget can get his jollies by killing everyone every te seconds and destroying Cargo. Happy and small Lobbies dont sell Gold Bars.

The update file is sized at 3 GB, consoles tend to download the whole thing again when changed.

On PC, you just download the changed sections of the file.

There is wildlife in the 22 player lobby I'm in, but it's not on a level with what was there in low population lobbies.

 

Also, Blackwater is a warzone.

Same here. I would say its 75% of the wildlife, we saw before the patch.

 

Got a treasure hunter on the cliff, too. so its OK for me atm

OK this is it!  I saw a mounted MAXIM GATLING GUN ON A WAGON!

 

there was a dead NPC driver on it, and the gun couldnt be used

This might seem like I am being petty but I am not interested unless the NPC count is the same as it was with smaller Lobbies. While the world looks beautiful without NPC's it is shallow and boring, NPC's bring life and movement to what otherwise just a pretty facade.

A Maxim gun or a Gatling gun? They're two very different types of gun.

You are not, same here!  I loved the living world, but ATM (17 player) the spwan is not changed. It works pretty fine,
