Well crap! 

I don't want to give them any real incentive to keep them at these ridiculous rates either. 8 gold to hop around like a rabbit in a small area for 5 minutes? It would be different if you could do more as the animal (though I have no idea what you could do as a bunny). The least they could have done was give the players choosing to transform the option of being a legendary hunt, that would have been fun.

Yeah, the one on charge of the online creative department deserves to be fired really... who the f*ck would want to be a rabbit or a buck ? Even a  rat could be interesting... it is just common sense that players would like to be predators or exploring animals with first person enabled... At this point i dont know if it is absurd negligence from their part or just a plain troll move motivated by an unbereable  dark humor... What i am sure of nevertheless is that i would have dumped this game already if there were another decent western rpg on the market.

If we could use the plants and commune with the animal anywhere im sure a lot of us would use it for spying, being off radar of course. For balance reasons our bodies would stay spawned unconscious so it can’t be abused and needing to use strategically.

If only we could be a bird. Flying around the map as a bird in Gta after using one of those peyote plants was actually a lot of fun. It would be amazing to see the rdr map from a bird's eye view like that.

Yeah, figured it out afterwards... It's just a strange thing as I don't own any of Harriet's transformation pamphlets or have picked any of her flowers and my camp has been there since always and yesterday is the first time they've shown up for me at any time of the day in the game, before there was no such prints or the gold glow appearing in that spot when in Eagle Eye either so just thought it was odd since I thought they only appeared if you had the transformation pamphlets or had picked any of the transformation flowers since they weren't there before yesterday for me and my camp hasn't been moved.

I want that to be a thing for console more and more now! And it made me appreciate the birds in the game more too, I mean those animations they were right near spot on. Also, I want a parrot. ^^ Yeah, Wild West Online had some good ideas (e.g. gold prospecting, hot air balloon crash sites), but... their lack of effort made even the absolute worst of R* look downright stellar.

I really don't think transforming into a bird is gonna happen.

None of the Naturalist stuff has anything to do with birds, and it would be the thing players want most, so probably very unlikely unfortunately.

 

I really, really hope I'm wrong, but there's no indications in the game that it's a possibility.

Anyone else extremely not hyped for this halloween update? So far not one thing that has been leaked looks good at all. All the items in the outlaw pass are a joke and these voodoo zombie fu ckers are probably for some tacked on horde mode. As someone who has been extremely passionate about RDO im honestly starting to care less and less. I waited checking every week for something new over half a year of complete silence and a broken game. Then we got it and it sucked d ick and was just another form of hunting shi t in a game thats suppose to be about outlaws AND it broke the game even more. Now they add being able to play as an animal for 5 minutes but it cost a bunch of gold. Who in the flying fu ck are rockstar making this stuff for? Do they listen at all? Will we ever actually get something worthwhile in this game? My disdain for rockstar has been at an all time high and they have lost almost every bit of good will they had with the SP. No matter what they bring now even if its good Im still going to hate this company with a burning passion. There is very unlikely anyway rockstar will redeem themselves. Especially now that we have Strausse Zelenik saying the games are going to come out faster, be shorter, more focused on online and shark cards and "adding content over time" .

IMO - campfire ghost stories, random Strange Man encounters, some resuce missions involving the pagans and a visit to the witches cauldron in Ambarino. Would be a well rounded update.

 

There is enough content, established in the lore. For some reason, they don't want to embrace, fan favorites.

The only thing I want is the machete but that's really all. Even still I hardly ever use my machete now so it will have no use. Rockstar really needs to get themselves together but I just don't know if they'll ever be the Rockstar we once knew. The GTAO success has been terrible for us players in the long term.

From halloween pass i am only looking for the reaper rolling block variant that would be perfect if it werent for those stupid skulls in purple... wasnt really hard to make them in gold...but hey it is something i guess... a shame that i cant put a wrap on them though.

No I don't, true, but I didn't pay for the online part. I paid for the story which is top notch and which I've played 3 times. Online came along with it as a free "bonus". Online was still in beta back then. I have not used any real money for anything online so I guess I haven't been cons00ming.

Online didn’t come free. It’s on the disc, meaning it was included in the purchase price of the original game. You paid for online, because you wouldn’t be able to play RDO without buying the game. - My guess would be that the Halloween content is coming out on... Halloween...
- Not only Halloween pass, they added some zombie npcs so they probably have some new modes as well

RDO is a free game.  That is the legal reality.
