ok just an idea but maybe when they release the next outlaw pass and if dutch's outfit is in the next pass they could release a straight gunbelt like what dutch wears i know alot of people want those types of gunbelts including me and im just hoping they do add that type of gun belt anyway but i think it could be good if they released them with dutchs outfit as his outfit does kinda require the gunbelt with the 2 holsters on each leg

i would love to have a 2 holster gunbelt. on the right normal and on the left the gun grip points forward. so i can crossgrab it with my right hand. sorry - not native english - hope you understand what i mean.

yea that would be cool aswell if you could pick which way the gun faces

This is also true of GTAO. If the PS5 and Xbox versions come out in 2021 that means the PS4 and One versions will need to be BC.

It would definitely be an enhanced edition that may or may not be available for sale, featuring its own multiplayer, separated from the older consoles. That's also true for the enhanced edition of GTAV, because it was already announced that PS5 users will have a "free of charge" standalone version of GTAO for the first three months. That means Xbox users would have to buy the whole game again to experience the enhanced edition, whereas PS5 users can grab the online component for free, eliminating the need to buy the whole package again if your interest is only to continue your online journey.

 

I can't think of any rational reason that would cause them to steer away from the same approach to grant us RDO users a special treatment different from what GTAO is getting.

 

The question is, whether we could transfer our characters from current-gen to next-gen? From a technical perspective, RDR2 is more of like an enhanced edition of GTAV, so you could say the tech is already there since Rockstar already experimented with that before with GTAO.

Im Not Sure If you have played any Side Mission in Story Mode, but the Game ist full of These supernatural "crap". WE have aliens, Zombies, Vampires, Robots etc....

"There will also be a new standalone version of GTA Online coming in the second half of 2021, which will be available for free exclusively for PlayStation 5 players during the first three months." - I don't think that means "the standalone version is only for PS5", merely that PS5 users have a three-month window to get standalone GTAO for free, whereas Xbox Series X/S users have to buy it from day 1 if they want the new version. Likewise, if you're on PS5, and don't take advantage of the free offer, you'll have to pay however-much for standalone GTAO.

 

(not to turn this thread into a next-gen GTAO speculation thread, but it does raise the question: what's the price going to be for standalone GTAO - $30/$40, perhaps?)

I agree but my point is that we have heard nothing about BC OR an enhanced version and we are less than two months away from the release of both consoles. People will be selling their PS4's and Xbox's for the new consoles meaning that RDO and GTAO will be unplayable for them if we don't get BC or enhanced news very soon.

 

My point also being that we know the enhanced version of GTA5/O is coming out in 2021 so does that mean that the current gen versions of the games will be playable on the PS5 and next Xbox? This then leads into the question of what will happen to the current gen versions once the enhanced version is out, it will fracture the player base. It's also a VERY f*ckING sh*tty move that the PS5 gets GTAO enhanced for free while the Xbox has to, I assume, pay for it. I also assume that PC will get this upgrade for free as well as lol, no self-respecting PC player would pay for an upgrade. From what I can imagine you'll still be able to play PS4/XBONE versions in next gen consoles, just without any next gen enhancement and after the proper next gen version is out they'll stop updating the current gen versions but you'll still be able to play whatever content they had added till then, just like you can still play the PS3/X360 versions. 

 

And I don't think the standalone GTAO is free on any platform. It's free on PS5 for 3 months (we all know Sony and Rockstar are in bed together for a long time except the GTAIV DLC deal with MS) but you will still need PS+ to add it to your library and play and F2P games don'r require PS+ at all. After that period they'll sell it for some premium in both consoles.

 

And if they try to charge for the PC upgrade then they can go f*ck themselves.

Basically what I would like to know. I've very little doubt SP will be playable at launch through BC, but what about Online? Will it be cross gen (PvP in RDO is trash already, imagine being on PS4/X1 competing against the higher frame rates of PS5/XSX)? Will PS5 and XSX/S have there own lobbies available at launch? Will RDO actually be available on next gen at launch at all?

 

Also, I'm a broken record at this point, character transfer. We almost all assumed current gen to PC would be available, but R* said nothing, and we know how that turned out.

 

These might be ridiculous questions, but we don't know the answers, because for some reason R* seem very hesitant about being forthcoming with this information.

I don't know where in the world you are, but for me, the only benefit of having to wait until November 19th for my PS5 is that I'll know a week in advance whether or not I need to hang onto my Pro to play RDO as all those getting XSX/S and the first locations release of PS5 will answer most of my questions for me, if R* still haven't said anything by then.

That's my point. Microsoft needs to get permission to make the games BC and we don't even know how PS4's BC works, we don't even know for certain if it will have BC. You would think that a simple "You can continue to enjoy your RDO adventures on PS5 and Xbox Series" post would be easy but like I said, two months away and nothing.

It's a clusterf*ck. Will we eventually have the BC PS4 and One versions AS WELL as the PS5 and Series versions all playing on the same console?

Pretty sure they won't allow PC to console because of modded accounts. It would not surprise if they did not allow console to PC in the first place to stop people moaning about PC to console later down the line.

Not at all but it's Rockstar we're talking about. Potentially Rockstar can charge even charge PC players for upgrade. For example Capcom shafted PC community by announcing DMCV wouldn't get RT on PC when consoles are receiving it in special edition. Maybe they'll charge for it in future or won't add it at all.

Respectfully disagree. It's essentially a free PS+ game that Sony paid for. Anyone buying PS5 (or without plus subscription) outside that 3 month window won't get it.

 

PUBG is free on PS+ this month and the Xbox guys are not getting it for free. It's the same case here except GTAO will be available for 3 months instead of 1. Conversely Xbox guys have PUBG available on Xbox Game Pass but it's not available on PS Now. So ultimately it's all buisness and both console manufacturers would try to one up the competitor by securing upgrades, exclusive content to make their consoles more lucrative.

Just like MS has got Yakuza 7 as timed exclusive for Series X and S. It's very much cut throat buisness.

I take it you don't play the collector role then? The teslapunk metal detector is one of the least realistic things currently in RDO (and I quite like it, it's cool).

Bring on some zombies I say. It'll be nice to have a zombie game (or gamemode) without fully-automatic weapons for once.

Not everyone enjoys scripted games.

Not only that, but many factors can leave people less than enthusiastic about following a predetermined story.

The setting, characters, pacing, any of those things could potentially sour a person to the overall feel of a game.

 

Playing open world is a completely different experience, many players prefer that to being on rails for the whole time.

If there were different endings depending on the choices you make during the journey, that would open up a lot of potential, but a single ending no matter what you do removes a lot of the fun for me.

Here the setting is the main character as we try to find our way in an expansive world, doing our own thing when and how we want.

 

Everyone has different tastes.
