Those "zombie" doesn't have scratch, bite mark, blood on them yet, they look like the dead body at Armadillo but with black/red eyes (same eyes as Stalker from Fear of the Dark mode)
I want these to be WIP.

I don't wanna be pessimistic but this looks like the laziest thing ever. They're just using dead bodies already in the game because it's less work. Wish they would have put some effort into and at least made them the same as the Undead Nightmare dlc. But no its to much to ask for R* to put any effort into post launch content because they still make a lot of money and they get to put in less effort win win for R*.

October 23 R* announces RDR2 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S November 24

 

They don't need months of marketing or over a year heads up. They want to sell RDR2 to early adopters to make it relevant again.

While supplies will be limited, millions of people will own a PS5 or Xbox Series this holiday, not many exciting, technically impressive games will be there immediately, so what better way than the last big R* game enhanced to make some big cash this fiscal year. Will help RDO playerbase as well.

 

October 2018 - PS4, Xbox One

November 2019 - PC

November 2020 - PS5, Xbox Series X|S

Yeah it seems lame, a survival with those ? How they are gonna kill us ? With their fists ? No weapons, no signs of a transformation that indicate a possible bite or slash intent. 3 months of drought for this crap... are they still in quarantine ? Is usa in general still on it ?

Probably just a smaller State of Play, but nothing like the last two PS5 main events.

 

But I think Rockstar is going to announce it on their own via Twitter, Newswire and a 60 second trailer captured on PS5.

I hope that they are, I mean I have a free 3-D program that I was able to purchase models to make better undead than that. You telling me that they cannot do it themselves?

 

 

If anything give them a bit of damage like this guy

 

And I am hoping for undead animals just throw a rotted model over the existing model's skeleton and there you go.

There is that monk in story mode that is on the mountain that you can tease. It was a hilarious interaction, maybe that's what this is all about?

Those betting on character transfers should really look to GTAO info for what R* has instore.  Which is not that much info... will transfer be possible in GTAO and if it is possible, will there be limits to things that transfer.

 

There is no guarantee that a transfer is possible in either game.  As we all have come to expect, their greed, remember you are undermonetized, seems to be getting worse not better.  There is a subscription model and standalone, online only, game for GTAO. 

 

While I am in agreement with a subscription model for online modes, for a variety of reasons, but primarily to increase tracking of menu users for pc players and funds to have better technical support of the games. The standalone is just catering to the flippant and attention deficit crowd. 

 

Essentially, the standalone model will kill story mode...as is already clear from RDR2, story mode is now thought of as a relic. "We're more ghosts than people."  Modes, items, and ideas are specifically held back from story mode to be placed in online as the hyper addictive of the "I want it now and will pay a small fee to get it" mentality of online games continues to create profits with little effort.

I'm not so sure if character transfer will be possible this time around.

 

Character transfer for RDO wasn't possible between console to PC. We all had to start from scratch again.

So I had a thought...a fair compromise?

 

R* gives us the facial hair growth system from Single Player BUT we need to buy Hair Tonic from Harriet for ten Gold to trigger it and/or speed it up like in Single Player. Going to the Barber with the system activated adds Sideburns, Beard and Moustache to the options under Hairstyle and Facial Hair. Each cut costs one Gold so if you want a specific style you would be paying three Gold every few days.

Dont buy Things...Just play the Game for a couple of hours/days...then you will know your style of playing and what you Need for that.

If the RDO account stays on the same platform, transfer will be a lot easier to do. Moving to another platform opposes more problems for Rockstar.

Buy shovel and metal detector from Madam Nazar as soon as possible and keep Jeanropke Collectors Map opened on your phone while you do other missions in the game.

Thats what I meant with "dont buy Things, before you have played a couple of hours/days". Your Tip is absolutely right, If He Likes collecting Things . But Imagine He absolutely dont wanna collect Things and blindly follows your Tip, then he is stuck for a while because He Spend his gold for the collectors bag

And thats what I mean by "while you do other missions in the game". Literally every part of this game includes traveling somewhere. Having the map opened up lets you earn some extra cash on the way by picking up stuff thats near your destination point without the need of "blindly fallowing" every collectible on the map (or even worse, by actually buying maps from Madam Nazar). Thats the fastest and easiest way to earn some cash at the start of the game. No matter what DLC you want to focus on first you can pick some stuff thats right next to you. He'll buy it sooner or later no matter what but doing it earlier lets him earn more money.

My mistake was not buying both of those things right away and focusing on doing bounty missions instead. And by the time he even gets enough of gold and money to buy those things, he'll already gonna have to play the game for "a couple of hours/days" just as you said. So my tip is just an extension of the things you already said.

I would still say, play the Game a couple of hours, then decide what your Goals are and in which Role you wanna Invest. Of course the collector is the top Role in Terms of Dollar and xp, but as I Said maybe He likes to become a Bounty Hunter, why should He Invest his gold for another Role? Remember, He is a lvel1 player with a tiny gold account

There is no rational reason to even have a slight doubt that our progress will naturally carry over to the new consoles, with a new version or backwards compatibility.

 

Seems more like concern trolling or complaining for the sake of it.

Again, before he even can buy the things I said, he will already have couple hours/days behind him. You ask why start with collector? Because collecting stuff is the only thing you can easily do while doing other stuff in the game (its not like you can bounty hunt while you do moonshine missions, right?). And by starting with the collector role he can earn money and gold quicker by completing daily events while doing other stuff in the meantime. Sure, he can start with any role he wants. But starting with the collector role is the fastest way to earn money and gold needed to buy all the other businesses he wants.

So in other words, if you were to speedrun the game to buy all businesses, starting with the collectors role would be the fastest way to get there since it allows you to multitask with barely no extra effort.

The tech is seemingly all there, they just didn't do it for PC for ??????????????????????????????????????????.

 

They'll do it for next-gen and if we're lucky we may see PC finally get PS4/XB1 > PC transfers as well. There's absolutely nothing to worry about regarding it.

Probably because Sony wants existing PS4 RDO players to transition to the PS5, and not to the PC ecosystem. Maybe even a deal was involved, given the PS/R* deal and RDO early access content.

 

That may be the simplest explanation, and may even be the truth.

 

There are no technical limitations, and R* doesn't profit from not offering character transfer. In the short term it even would have made more finiancial sense to offer transfer to PC, so people will buy it again for PC. But it seems more like R* wants to seperate the console and PC Online ecosystem with their games moving forward, after what happened with the exploits, mods and issues regarding PC-console transfer with GTAV.

And of course they want us to pay for the NextGen console version.

 

The thought that R* wouldn't want to offer character transfer from PS4 to 5 because of any financial reason is total bs
