Yes, we can feel that our production hast stopped from across the map by telekinese, but there is No way to supply IT from there...Just dumd Gameplay decision

Yea, we could have just had an NPC on a Horse spawn near us and say something like "Maggie sent me, your batch is complete" Or have that young lad from the Trader intro mission appear and give us a message from Cripps.

I always find it funny how slow many games, Red Dead included make bunnies in their games. They are ten times faster than that.

I really hope it is, but I've got a feeling we're going to have to wait for some eXpANdeD ANd ENhaNcED bullsh*t like with GTA V.

 

It's going to p*ss me off if I have to keep the PS4 for 6 months to a year while R* drag their heels over releasing RDR2 on PS5.

 

To be honest, apart from RDO and the occasional other game that grabs my attention, I do almost all my gaming on PC, so if R* are going to make us wait until some time in 2021, and if the launch lineup looks weak, I might change my plans and hold off on getting a PS5 until RDR2 releases for it.

PS5 is PS4 backwards compatible, so you should be able to play RDO on the 5 anyway and shouldn't have to keep the 4 around anymore, unless you've got the physical RDR2 version now and want to buy the digital only version of the PS5. 

I'm doing all gaming on the console and work on the computer. I've got an all Mac environment at home and those don't handle games that well anyway, if any good ones are available for it, which aren't.

Which you should eitherway, the first bunch of consoles in the past two gens all had hardware or even software malfunctions...

One NPC behavior/response that's glaringly missing is simple "hands up" (surrender) when they're on foot and you point a gun at them.

 

It obviously doesn't mean every NPC has to respond that way, but right now it's either shoot back or run... neither of which ends well for them. I think I'd actually feel more like leaving them alive after looting them if they surrendered.

 

I suspect this omission is because R* is saving it for a more official "robbery/outlaw" role, even though that's pretty much all I've been doing in RDO.

The intimidate/threat option would be cool to add. Because right now I just end up knocking witnesses out when I'm in towns.

If I even get a PS5, I'm holding out until the inevitable PS5 Pro announcement. I won't be fooled this generation. Then I'll decide if the premium model or the hopefully discounted base system is better value and go from there. RDO and GTAO are all I care about having a console for now that Sony plans to bring their first party games to PC.

I can accept PC not having a transfer since y'know, not a whole lot of people would be doing that. Or perhaps they don't want you wasting your transfer on going to PC and locking yourself out of XBX/PS5?

But making people start over on XBX and PS5 would be unacceptable! And the final straw for some of us, especially with how reliant progress is on random events. Poison poppy(Which I still don't have), FR legendary(Plus the sheer cost of the coats too!), and the tedious drag of grinding up roles.... only somebody as insane as Joker, actually probably even more insane than that, would willingly start over! I'd quit and I'm sure most people would

Maybe it means PvP brawling. If that's the case I'd rather it be in the local saloons. I know we can brawl now but I mean with all weapons blocked.

It means a youtuber just finished playing RDR2 and she said she'll play RDR1 after that. Thats it.

But yeah, I can totally see them remaking RDR1 in RDR2 engine. After all its the same map and they never really used the New Austin part of it. And they would make sh*tton of money on it since RDR1 was never even released on PC. 

Not to mention all the money they would save on voice acting and having to write a new story. All they have to do is remake the missions and finish Mexico.

edit: And maybe add couple new side quests.  Maybe finish Guarma like they originally intended.

Any chance we will be able to port our online characters to next gen? That's the only reason I didn't jump to PC.
