I don't think we will ever see more than one roll at a time again.  Each roll will be a separate update.

I would like to see a role based on melee combat, enhanced, with more weapon types, features, clothes and facepaints.

Assuming they plan to eventually add heists, heist leader is probably the "outlaw" role. Heists would also probably require you to purchase a property, for a planning board and storage of prep/setup stuff. That might tie in to the houses leaked earlier.

Also this! Outlaw role next please! The goodie goody players have a sh*t ton of roles already! The closest us bad players have is Poacher and that ain't even a real role!

Since it's hinted at shortly after our jailbreak, I'm thinking we'll eventually see horse thief.  If they do it right it could be an action packed role unless they decide every horse we steal is lame and/or dumb. If the horse is a decent runner let other player pursue, who cares...

I can see them bringing a Farmer role, similar to how John did at Beachers Hope at the end of RDR2.

 

Also the Outlaw role which main theme is heists.

Most importantly RDR2 should be backwards compatible day one on the new consoles. I don't want to keep my old ass console around taking up room just to boot up RDO.

 

If they enhance it for NextGen then that's even better. I have slight hopes they announce that as a PS5 launch title during this months rumored PS event.

 

Can't imagine they release that after GTAV, would be way too long of a wait.

It would be nice for the Roles series to come to an end at some point and for them to just release stuff without it being tied to a theme.

Sure, there was alot going on, in the late 1890's.

 

- Smuggler/ Salvager

- Mercenary: Spanish American War and Mexican revolution. 

- Henchman fixer  for industrialists.

-  Private Detective: working for newspapers and law firms. Investigating corruption, Secret Societies and some union busting.

- Snakeoil salesmen and con artist

- Prospector

 

- Business owner: exclusively for town and city living. Shop keeper, undertaker, gun store owner, blacksmith, hotel owner, saloon owner

and pharmacist.

They could release stuff with the Roles just being a function to experience more of the stuff released, so whilst not tied to a theme, you could at least do most of the theme without having to do the Role but if you want to experience everything you have to buy into the Role.

That'd be fine BUT we need roles that actually change gameplay first like Outlaw roles

A Rancher is going to be one of those things you max then dump for most people, like Naturalist lol

It should be for XBX. Though I'd like it if we got proper confirmation as I'd like to nab the Digital version cause I'm buying the digital only XB

Naturalist content was found in the game files when moonshiner was released, anything in this update that hints at the next role or update?

Only Lawman or Outlaw..... After that I´m done with rolls.... What would have been cool is that we need to choose what path to take! So you need to make a choose that you can´t regret, so either you are a lawman with some perks or outlaw with other perks but cant be both! Like how naturalist should have been!

I don't think so, no. I think the only content for the Naturalist role that didn't even make the Naturalist role we have now was relating to some of the flowers in the game and the icons for the guy in Story Mode that we sold flowers to being in amongst the content for online, I could be wrong though but from the content I have pre-naturalist role then isn't anything relating to animals at least.

Send one to Cripps telling him to buy Supplies and one to Maggie telling her to tell Marcel to start a batch. I don't care if it takes a few in game hours to arrive.
