But I wouldn't be against non free roam missions that include the use of them.

Those upcoming ones may not be as much fun as GTA, cause it would be a temporary connection and restricted to around the area you transformed in.

Really? That doesn't sound particularly fun. 

 

At least, in theory, that would mean there won't be player controlled Grizzlies rampaging through towns.

 

There's only 4 pamphlets, is that correct? And is there any indication as to which animals will be involved?

 

I'll buy them anyway, but I'm most interested in whether we can become a bird.

Well that ruins my idea of finding one of the raptor birds and flying across the map, but I understand why they would have to make the transformation limited.

 

Even still, just seeing the map from an eagle's view would be amazing.

Wtf have they done with this game? Some really weird things, sessions with no more than 5 players and I think they completely broke LA spawns, haven't seen any at all, and made a fresh solo session 3 hours ago.

I noticed this last night, really low population lobbies. I spawned the Onyx Wolf but it was under the map, could hear it growling, but obviously couldn't see or kill it.

I had that glitch 3 times already. Seems very common...

Had a weird glitched session on PC just now... Fast travel didn't work, there were only 4 people in session, but I got 2 LAs in quick succession, and various events like treasure map NPCs spawning. Alt-tabbed to check the LA wolf spawn points, game crashed with err_gfx_state... I was planning to milk that session all day long, oh well. I guess there's still no reliable way to make a solo session without a second person?

Okay, loaded into another 4-man session. What's going on? Is anyone else having this on PC? I can't complain, found another LA and about to embark on the hunt for the others, but it's very weird.

That's good.

I wondered why twice, sometimes three times the number of NPC's were spawning. Instead of the few generic scruffy male NPC's walking aimlessly around I saw NPC's I haven't seen for ages interacting with the environment, women walking around fanning themselves etc. There was a woman being driven around in Saint-Denis dressed in an all white dress and hat who told me off for getting in the way of her carriage that I have never seen before.

I'm enjoying these empty sessions. 6 LAs in a matter of some hours.

Well... it is a multiplayer game. If you wanted to be by yourself id play single player. Same thing with GTA, some of you schmucks swear by lobbies with no one in them, very bizarre

Oh yeah we're the schmucks. Some people cannot stay connected to game unless in a low population lobby.

Is that it? I was expecting a bit more variety. I don't know about anybody else but i would have loved to have been an Alligator or Golden Eagle.

I mean, I like having a good number of other players in a session to potentially liven it up, but I like a reasonable spawn rate for animals/NPCs/events as well. It sucks that we can't seem to have both. Since we can only see nearby players and it isn't uncommon to be all alone for hours even in full sessions, if I have to choose, I'll take the low player count.

We've all known since Beta that 15ish seemed to be the sweet spot which gives the best of both worlds, not going to happen though, unfortunately.

Yeah tbh, I don't really care what bird it is. I just want to fly and explore the map from above. I don't know why there isn't any big predators though? I'm baffled by that decision. There's just no point in buying these pamphlets. They're a waste of gold.

I don't know how likely/unlikely it is, but I do struggle to envisage how a Lawman Role would work that would make it sufficiently different from being a Bounty Hunter to be a worthwhile addition.

 

I really can't see R* introducing a PvP centric Role.

I think an Outlaw role would work better if it wasn't restricted to a Role as such and was just a more open part of the world.

 

If R* added a bunch of new missions, a mixture of freemode and private events, where you could hold up trains, banks, shops, conduct heists etc?

But then, they got Outlaw passes to sell! Need some way of getting that gold from us, so who knows.

I definitely think an Outlaw Role would be much easier to implement. I think it would naturally lend itself to free roam PvE with a little potential PvP mixed in.

Which is great and one of my favourite missions, but how does that transfer over to free roam without dominating everyone's gameplay.

 

Want to go to the barber, can't, there's a gang of outlaws that need dealing with.

maybe they do it like in the bounty hunter you take the mission you should do and for pvp it will be like the bounty for the Player and there are a few missions that you should do in free roam but without affecting other players.
