Does anyone know if the Banded Gator mission is a one-time only attempt?

My game glitched out and I couldn't complete it.

The timer has reset and it hasn't re-appeared in the list of missions.

It is not one-time only the mission come back after some time.

Did the mission already 2 times.

GTAO gets the entire update day one, RDO has to skip weeks to drag out some hats, coats and animals to hunt.

thats a good thing, i wont be playing gta at all unless its some log in bonus since they released everything at once

I'm generally curious as to why Rockstar didn't think of any sort of motivation to increase activity rates with Harriet once almost everyone reach level 20. It's kinda obvious that with her intolerable attitude and strict rules, players would start moving over to Gus side and dismiss her pleas for wildlife conservation.

They did plan out a similar piece of content, which is Harrietum Officinalis, that shall function the same as peyote plants, but it's reserved for a limited time event, thus it shouldn't be taken into the main equation. Heck, I would settle for a dozen of vouchers as gifts for your efforts.

I’m glad they finally added a new Sighting mission, but I don’t like that they made it so short compared to the other missions. I mean, it takes about three minutes to complete it.

 

The mission should’ve had us go in a boat to try and find the Banded Gator, and then when it surfaces, we have to race back to shore before it sinks the boat, similar to when you encounter the Bull Gator during the story. A real missed opportunity. 

 

I hope they put more effort into the other Sighting missions.

Hmm... seems my session has abruptly lost all NPCs and animals, only Cripps and Nazar and other role-related NPCs are present. Horses are taking ages to get called as well.

 

This doesn’t look good.

If there was one DLC where they had an opportunity to get really creative with clothing, it was this one.

So much potential - for each type of each animal, they could've created a coat (minus the head / hood), chaps, gloves, cloak.. you name it.

So many options.. wasted.

 

I can only surmise that they had years to come up with and perfect the amazing trapper outfits in single player, whilst they had only months to come up with this DLC.

Rushed, they must've been like

 

"Quickly, what could we do for each legendary animal?" 

"Uh.. how about each animal's head as the hood of a coat"

"Small amount of effort.. Perfect!"

 

Shame.

 

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm looking forward to future roles that don't revolve around hunting animals.

 

The December DLC; augmentations to an existing role.. could be interesting but would it be a role in and of itself?

 

I also wonder if they'll stop with the whole role thing at some point and just.. release stuff, instead of it being centred around a theme.

I will craft all the coats for the completionists sake but will never wear them. They look silly with the animal heads. Singleplayer trapper clothing is much better. Hope they add something similar in the future.

To me it seems silly that they make you wear the darn animal's heads. I mean, sure it makes it obvious that you are wearing the skin of a legendary animal, but I cannot get behind it. It would have been better if we had been able to purchase a property and have the animals as trophies to display if we chose to instead of those crazy looking hooded coats. I get that R* wants you to be able to show off your "kill" but everyone has a chance at those animals?

I wouldn't mind if the heads were separate entities, like the coyote hat, for instance.

Choose to pair it with other items or wear it with the coat. R* could even have made the full coat + hood a separate cost from buying the head on its own, would've been a win-win for them.

 

Anyway, I speculate that we won't see the last of additions to Gus' store after the dripfeed ends.

Don't know if you know this, but you can remove the top in the character menu.

If you know, what will be the use of the Vitalism Studies Pamphlets? Will they allow us to turn into animals at any time or will we be paying gold to have the ability only during limited time events?

Harrietum Officinalis is the name of the plant that I believe you have to find and collect flowers from, which is necessary for the Vitalism Studies Pamphlets that transforms you into one of the few animals. Each animal requires a Vitalism Studies Pamphlet (which costs gold) that you have to study to pinpoint one or several locations in which the essence of the animal is strong, then you consume samples of Harrietum Officinalis at said location to transform into the specific animal.

I've had the random black screens lasting about 5 seconds come back.

the last time it happened I updated my AMD drivers and it fixed it, however now there are no newer drivers available.

Well, to be precise they had 5 years or more to produce the whole game, not just a few coats lol... to be fair i think that is at max a few weeks of work, and that speaking of a good quality and diverse clothing.

It's random which missions are available. The first Banded Gator is just a bonus freebie, so to speak.

That was fun, those peyote plants in GTA. Until I got hit by a car as a dog, dive bombed the side of a building as a bird, and I also died when I tried to do the cliche' Jaws fin above the water thing when I was a shark. But when I was a cat, I had nine lives and a voracious need for donuts (which were actually bagels). Lol it was fun for a short time, but I couldn't play with those much.

 

And without private servers I don't think I would be willing to try them out anyways.

 

But I wouldn't be against non free roam missions that include the use of them.

The lobbys on xbox are only 2 to 3 people strong right now 

the moonshine missions are locked 

sometimes when shot by players or npc my health does not go down 

and the LA dont show the icon only if u run in to it 

 

and many more but there the ones stop me from progress and i have sent a ticket so rockstar support know about the pros we are have in

i cant wait to play as a animal in rdr2 online , they probably do what they did last year on gta online let be animals thouth out Halloween on both rdr2 and gta online with the 0 to 20 halloween gold pass and new game mode etc cant wait to get that digger
