Do the devs just sit around a table and ask what’s fun let’s add that. Flying horses and jet packs are also fun but I wouldn’t want them in rdr2 either. 
 

This games slides away from the masterpiece of story mode with every update and at this rate will end up just as ridiculous as gta.

We never had so much content leaked before in the entire history of RDO.

 

I guess R* really used lockdown to prepare some stuff for the rest of the year as dripfeed while the core team was focused on getting the Naturalist done from home.

I think it is one of those situations where they did a lot from the stuff they could do from home so that when they get back to the studio they finish the stuff they couldn't do at home (like mocap) and after that they can release an update with all those extra features (peyote plants, R* editor, properties... etc) and pair it along with a role (maybe lawman) and release a big December DLC. This also gave them a chance to make the Halloween pass, I think if that is a success they will do it every year, They might make smaller holiday passes a thing between the larger OP (I would love that). This is a question for everyone, if the Halloween pass is 20 tiers how much do you think it will cost. I think they will charge 20 gold bars (even though its a small pass they will consider it as rare items and they know people will pay).

 

BTW I know this is a couple of weeks old but OMG I forgot how much I love the trader role. The animal spawns and legendary animals really do change this game!!!

They need to be careful with their gold prices as the player base is too far apart now, on one had you have a vast number of players with hundreds and thousands of gold and then the rest usually sitting below 100.

 

For a new player starting with zero gold what is there to actually do in the game apart from a short main storyline?

Other than maxing out all of the roles to 20 for consistency's sake, and then saving up and buying a few things here and there that they want or need and then... stop playing.

 

Wanna know how I know? That's how I stopped playing after the 7 month sh*t show that we had. If they want to keep new players engaged, they need to drop updates consistently after every 3 or 4 months. I still haven't forgotten about those 7 months, and if I hear that the pandemic has something to do with the delay for the next update I am going to sh*t my pants.

The 7 months drought has almost been been beneficial for Rockstar because now they can literally drop anything and a large majority of the player base will lap it up like gods gift. An example being the lacklustre items from Gus, the incredibly lazy and mediocre legendary garments and how not many people seem to care that Bills outfit and Javiers outfits are just skins.

You know what would be a good thing to add? The ability to sell stuff we Craft like cooked meats and Tonics. No bullsh*t Role where you need to buy a "Tonic Crate" or whatever for stupid amounts of Gold or whatever, just the ability sell stuff from our inventory to shops. Nothing like an in game economy just making and selling for a higher price than selling the parts individually. R* could fleece money from people by them needing to purchase the expensive Pamphlets to craft better stuff.

People could start their own small side business by just collecting plants and brewing Tonics at their Camp to sell.

- You can find 2 meteorites in single player story (even tho the game says you found 2/3. So everyone is looking for the last one).
- Someone found a code in the game that mentions "squirrel_and_meteor" which is... pretty weird. So people started to make theories about it. Like it having something to do with Johns squirrel that keeps moving around, or maybe you have to find a random squirrel in the world that took the meteorite thinking its a nut etc.
- The team from the tweet tries to debunk existing theories about it.

And years ago (before we had pc version) people had some crazy theories that if you found all 3 of them they would keep Arthur warm / magically heal him giving you a secret ending to the game.

I've been trying to get the snow buck since it was introduced, but with no luck. In fact, the only legendary animal of the late additions that I have bagged, is the sun alligator.

Looks like a Florida Panther. But there are 3 Legendary Panthers coming in the drip feeds. Ghost Panther, Iwakta Panther and Nightwalker Panther
