RDO Next Updates Speculation & General Chat (Part I)

I'm not that lucky, that was the first time an LA spawned where it is supposed to be as soon as you rock up. I still haven't spawned a Legendary Gator or Legendary Coyote in free roam yet, only the Midnight Paw Coyote spawned for me whilst I was finishing a Moonshine sell mission.

Anyway, I've probably repeated this a lot, just in case it gets missed anyway, try a Bounty Board mission and go to LA spawn locations during the 15 minute hidden timer as LAs have more chance of spawning due to the game not allowing any other type of Free Roam mission to spawn (Hideouts, Moonshiner, Poachers). As I've had the LAs that aren't part of the drip feed spawn now and then when doing Bounty Board missions, Trader resupply, Trader Delivery and Moonshiner Delivery.

If someone wants to add my tip above to any of the LA info threads on here, feel free to.

Only thing is, playing on the PC doesn't rule out cheaters and aim bot...

Will try that. The only LA I have seen is the Beaver and that was on the update day.

hardcore series seems cool, but then you get in it and its just like 10 people doing first person strafe with a sniper rifle

In solo lobbies they spawn a lot. I guess because they are attached to a free roam event, which are still  scarce after the update... of course far more common in ocurrence than before.

These concepts are cool and all, but I think these deserve their own thread, seeing as these are basically fan-fiction/art and don't actually add anything to the discussion. There's no real basis to speculate any of this stuff on.

This hardcore series is it going to be permanent? or just for a weak and it will be gone?

I'd say that'll depend on player engagement. They know that PvP is a minority pass time in game but if they implement something that causes an upsurge, they'll keep it around.

you're right, but the only reason we can speculate about this one is that she was on a story mission and they could do it online if they want.

Thats the reason. Its simply stupid say that there is a bug with +level 15. 

I found more LA with level 20 than under level 15.

The problem is that LA are a random event like hideouts, strangers, camp attack... and they rarely spawn on populated lobbies.

The only part I don't like the sound of is not having my weapons. I wsnt to dust off the rolling block.

 

Is there no Paint It Black? Previous free aim modes got ruined by that. Hopefully none of that special edition/shotgun only stuff too.

There are no cards at all, if you get on a map with a sniper rifle you're definitely getting vote kicked in the next lobby .

There is some aim assist, so if players get close enough to you with a shotgun they're spamming that constantly.

Yeah, some careful thought will need to be applied so that players can't abuse it, and others can opt out.

 

Significant cost and risky usage of balloons and basic, weaponless aircraft/parachutes are fine with me--they would also make the experience rare and more fun when you do get a chance to (briefly) use them.

I don't mind that so much - it's when it's used with PIB. No aiming bloom, so much more range. Just feels really cheesy.

 

With no PIB, this mode sounds good for me. I'll just camp somewhere and snipe every map.

I thought it was just me reading the Newswire wrong as I played a few tonight (including new one) but didn't get anything, but the wording is pretty specific so it's either bugged or it takes a few day to apply.

 

"Completing any Free Roam Event will pay out RDO$100 and a Reward for 5000 Character XP, including the newly added Wildlife Photographer Free Roam Event. Plus, take a photo using the Advanced Camera to receive a Reward for RDO$100."

I think we'll get a voucher to claim, like with other XP rewards, a day or two after playing a FRE.
