Tried to find the newly added legendary gators, nada. Too many players around making it a sh*tshow and ruining the (very low) chances of spawn.

I have to admit that today was a bit annoying online in Red Dead. So I do not know did anyone have the bug that the map was always reloaded and that you slipped into a new lobby?

I have found a few legendary animals recently. Not necessarily looking for them kind of just stumbled upon them over time. I will say after I sedated a legendary fox I had a guy kill it because he wanted the skin. Not sure what the deal was. But strangely enough, the fox immediately respawned once the guy left. I was able to get a sample and a pelt so that was nice.

I'm curious when we will get the instruments that were mentioned in that big Newswire. I hope we will be able to play them at our camp.

At the risk of sounding very selfish, as someone who hasn’t had a single connection problem since the patch, my biggest fear is that whatever they do to try to fix the connection problems that some people are having will break the animal spawns again, or reduce them, for everyone. 
 

They’ve updated qabeta2 though, which means an update is definitely on the way.

I mean, I imagine you would be able to play with the band with your own instrument after the instruments update drops, but I would also like the ability to play an instrument at my camp. 

 

Like, imagine you and your posse are chilling and drinking around your campfire, and then all of the sudden you just bust out a guitar and start playing. And people could dance to the music like in the Moonshine Shack. I just think that would be really cool.

Not just to separate out the LA focused complaining, but mostly to have all the potentially useful info (exact map locations, times, weather etc.) on each successful spawn in one place.

 

I'll happily create a thread if it gets a green light.

Agreed. I don't condone armchair moderating but being able to direct people immediately to info directly from R* would be a plus and stop people needing to hunt through pages of comments or repeatedly ask the same questions.

 

As Legendary Animals get added each week the main post can be updated.

 

Seeing as it's info from R* themselves I feel it is worthy of its own topic.

Yeah, basically information directly from R* and information regarding successful LA spawns with the requirements of them having to be in a public lobby, posting their Naturalist rank, whether they had help from a lower rank and on a "video or it didn't happen" basis.

So it looks like you get a higher chance of legendary animals in a solo lobby, because I only found one and that was at release day? Is there still a way to get a solo lobby on PS4 for solo players? I know you have the poker lobby but that requires two.

That’s rockstar missing the boat again. People asked for instruments with the intention of being able to play them at your campsite around the campfire or even walking around in freeroam but rockstar hid them away in a locked basement only some players have access to. 
 

The potential is always there.

The OP will be updated with new Legendary Animals and information about them as they are released by Rockstar.

You’re right. That’s pretty disappointing. Not adding instruments to purchase and play at our camp is a missed opportunity. 

 

Well, that’s something they could do in another future update.

Don't get me wrong, it would be really cool to play instruments at our camp and at other places. But I think the way Rockstar worded the bit about instruments was weird and so people think they were talking about what they were going to add when in reality they were talking about a feature they had already added.

In one of the camp themes (which I'm using right now) there is literally a banjo sitting on top of a fancy looking chest as part of the props.

Can't play it,but apparently I own it, yet I can play the one in the shine bar.

Apparently it's destructible, I went back to camp and stood around while clearing all the useless pics from the camera, and when I came out of the menu the banjo was gone and a chair was broken by the table, must have been another player messing around.

Maybe something else will come. It would be a good opportunity if you get real houses that you can get instruments, or rather buy.

It was leaked that they are adding more properties: mansions, farms, shacks, etc.

 

I like the idea of sitting on my front porch and playing a guitar.

You drink them, pass out and put on weight!
I used two of them increase weight, and now I'm no longer underweight which before the update even though I ate the entire contents of my satchel, I never put on weight The first one put me into the average weight, I thought another one would put me into the 'perfect weight' but it just put me overweight... So they work...

I used just the regular weight gain tonic (not the potent one) the other day. You drink it, pass out and the screen goes black for a second. You wake back up and have gained weight. I have the athletic body type and was at maximum underweight (-7.5) before drinking the tonic and went up to an average weight of -3.5

I don’t know what to tell you. I launch the game, and the game starts. It never disconnects.
 

Maybe it’s region, maybe it’s timezone, maybe it’s internet connection/ISP. For me: Australia, UTC+10, HFC 100/40 (wired). PS4 Pro running the game from external SSD.
