This is getting weaker by the week.

 

The summer update was confirmed on May 14th, here we are, July 9th, with no further news or information, no release date and no one actually knowing which of RDO and GTAO will receive their announced upcoming update first.

Is that the clothing used in Adversary Mo...sorry, Showdowns?

 

I think we're a way away from the update yet, unfortunately.

 

Weeks upon weeks of sh*t like discounts on meat from the butcher, +20% on unplayable Showdowns and 5% reduction of camp fees while we wait for GTAO to get the Casino DLC and some of its own dripfeed out of the way.

the fringed jacket is from the new public enemy mode, was hoping for that shaman hat with the feathers but guess that's one next week

If there's only one hat and one coat from Showdowns left to be released the dripfeed should finally be over next Tuesday. Hopefully anyway.

Nice. So this week is 2 eyesore hats, a coat that I might get if I had 10 outfit slots but definitely don't like enough to use on my main cold weather outfit, no discounts and no bonuses.

This is rather disappointing. I didn't get my hopes up high already, but this is even below expectations. Gardenia hat? More circus clothing for if you want to roleplay a moving caravan circus act? Or is this part of the tryhard uniform for 1898?

I'm pretty much sounding like a broken record at this point, but knowing the order of the updates and something less vague than "starting this summer" and "later this summer" would help by building up some hype.

 

Knowing next to nothing about the upcoming updates for both games and only having a vague idea of when those updates are releasing doesn't build hype, players get excited when some news is released and when they get a date, R*s silence creates boredom.

 They can't tell you the exact date of the DLC since they have to fix the bugs and make sure Sony and Microsoft approve the DLC. Also, suppose they give a date and for some reason it doesn't release, people will start complaining about that!  We know what is coming up next for RDO and they already told us what it will be,

That doesn't mean anything. It's lame and stale but people play it because the gameplay loop can be fun with friends.

They are full, but if you look at the players list. 80% of the lobby are less than rank 60. Plenty of life in the game those people. Most lobbies I'm in, I could count on one hand the number of players that are above 100.

I rather play and earn gold and money instead of complaining about how things will be pricey in later DLCs   because you know people will complain about that as well at some point lol

I don't think anyone expects an exact date and you really don't need to roll out the whole "it has to go through Sony/MS" spiel. Most of us here have been around the block with R*, we played through the wait for GTAO heists, we know that updates have to be approved.

 

R* could and should be more transparent, there's a chasm between unrealistically giving out exact release dates for upcoming content and saying nothing at all about upcoming content for weeks and months after it first gets teased.

 

There's no excuse for the outdated way in which R* communicates with its player base.
