RDO Next Updates Speculation & General Chat (Part I)

You know, even if the pandemic is the cause of nothing added to the game, wouldn't it be a very smart choice and a great opportunity for Rockstar to fix the long list of issues still in this game? On console too? They've had 4 months since and nothing, besides a handful of PC related issues, got patched. 
 

With that in mind, if that effort isn't taken to please the crowd, what will be? I'm not on the confident side here. No fixes for issues on console much, while no one can't argue that time nor opportunity wasn't on their side. 
 

While many many other studios release new games, updates for their current running games, teasers for upcoming big titles, Rockstar stays silent and shows a rererelease of a 7 year old game. This is how they currently compete in the gaming scene. They have one mammoth of a game they keep betting on to keep their stockholders happy. 
While we are screaming for RDO content and threat to leave, a wave of new player accounts entering the world of GTAO, filling Rockstar/T2 coffers. I'm pretty sure that they earn revenue from game accounts on several platforms like Steam, Epic etc., whether they log in or not. 
The RDO clown movement, even though noticed by several gaming news sites, is still not a big problem. As long as the game gets attention, either positive or negative, attention is attention. The relatively small clown group is nothing in comparison with the Rockstar logo licking crowd, still logging in daily to get their Rockstar Games enthousiasm fix. 

And while we think the clown movement will make Rockstar/T2 think, there's a boardroom with greasy greedy corporates with other plans and visions. Really, they aren't concerned with our criticism or discontent. 

The lack of content or attention to their player base isn't a sign of lack of interest. It's a sign of lack of incentive to do something. Money flows in anyway.

For things such as Online-story based missions, non-role FR missions and competitive modes, yes, since the rate of RDO$ + ~ based on the time passed in the mission or overall place/position in competitive modes.

 

Clothes which costs gold ... i can't say this looks or it is even fair, but at least they could work better in variations/types, unique things and etc ... (reminder that special edition bandoleer costed 18 golds, some high-end horses too.. plus the black Arabian Horse which costs +40 gold, which is disgraceful, i bought one, because i had more than enough gold and when it was discounted, but yet 29 gold, more than a single non-discounted role).

 

They are working on those QABeta branches, it is something at least, yet i'm not-getting my hopes high.

In no way i am spending so much gold in a black pony, when the white version is cheaper and we have a really good looking black horse in the american Standarbred.

It's sunday, which makes it 2 days of not updating during work hours, not 3 days.

You really expect people to work 24/7 just because they are working from home?

Most days I do little more than taking a few calls and answering emails 9-5, it's one of the best things about WFH. I'll work from around 5am until my daughter wakes up, spend the day with her, catch up on work after she's in bed then chill out.

I've been WFH for about 9 years already, saving me the commute to the business hours restricted office (4hrs drive a day) and my employer doesn't have to maintain a workspace for me. As long as I get my workload done and nobody has to wait for it, it doesn't matter how much time I put into it, nor when I do it. I do have mandatory office visits, but not more than twice a month and not even for a full workday. 

Since close to everyone is now used to using ZOOM, even those mandatory days might decrease. If I'd ever have to go back to fulltime office work, I'm in serious trouble.

I think after this I'll be permanently WFH with the exception of showing my face an appropriate amount of times. It just doesn't make sense for me to commute and have an office. I'm more productive *shudders* in less time because I don't get interrupted by sh*t I don't need to deal with.

From studies, it has been confirmed that most people are more productive while WFH. Our company promotes WFH as much as possible and it saves time, money and doesn't decrease efficiency at all. And there's always a pub somewhere to meet up with either customers or coworkers, if needed.

Personally, I don't miss the coffee corner chitchat at all. Never was a fan of it anyway. I just lack the interest in the personal life of my coworkers. 

 

I really can't imagine that Rockstar employees are totally blocked from any work they should be doing on updates, newswires, patches etc. They may see some delay, but that doesn't take months. A billion dollar company with such a lacking efficiency? Only in the Almighty Almanac of sh*t Excuses.

I am. Even though there’s a good chance nothing will happen I personally enjoy the hype train, and the one time something does happen it makes it all worth the wait for me

Which is why I personally think they ended up combining the spring and summer update together, meaning a longer production time. That obviously does NOT excuse them for the lack of communication.

I really don't think they even have a spring update to combine with in the first place. The idea that they'd be combining updates, because they see delays due to the pandemic is as loose as the 'they're waiting for nextgen to release an update' theory. 

I think you guys should feel lucky if you'll be seeing even 1 update this year. They haven't even fixed bugs of almost a year old. What makes people think they actually had something planned?

Looks like the last investor call for this year is on the 3rd of August. 2 more weeks to look forward of hearing no news. Can't wait to hear even more wishful thinking and useless, baseless speculation.

maybe some call me crazy, or is a stupid question because I do not know if it is viable on xbox one or ps4. Remember gta 5 on 360 and ps3? People started filtering out all the content for the next update shortly before it came out, as soon as they got into the game's archives. Is that still possible? And if so, the PC people have not found anything? Even if it's something that something to talk about lol
