RDO Next Updates Speculation & General Chat (Part I)

I don’t really expect an update today anymore, but I’d have considered this a good sign actually.   Been a while since we didn’t get any bonuses for our existing roles.

This game is dead until R* either give us some news or release an update, and even then, what we get might not be enough to jump start real interest in RDO.

We're surely getting to the point that if it does rekindle interest, it'd actually be a bit of a miracle.

 

A game with this much potential being used as nothing short of a dumping/testing ground for the next GTA (next  gen or VI online) is absolutely f*cking tragic to see.

Its just Cowboy dress up for me now, I spend more time trying different outfits than I do doing Roles. Set my Moonshine going, play dress up, sell Moonshine and log off.

You still think it won't be part of the Xbox event? Like I said, R* can play off both companies against each other and grow fatter of the spoils as both companies pay to outdo each other. You really think that MS will lie down and roll over about Sony getting three months Exclusivity for GTAOS (Standalone)?

On top of the 50% extra cash and double exp on Bounty Hunter missions, if you level up the role you get $100 and if you are max level Bounty role you get 1 treasure map and 10 dynamites.

Interesting, looks like they might be listening. Ninety-nine percent of the rewards have been useless for high level players.

Death Stranding is releasing in an hour, followed by Horizon Zero dawn and Mafia 1 remake next month among many others to follow. I've stopped playing but never uninstalled, I guess it's finally time. Rockstar can go f*ck themselves.

Not being a dick here, but how is this useful for high level players, let alone, long term players? 10 dynamite sticks and a treasure map? Really?

Perhaps implying useful from useless was a bad choice of words. A Treasure map yields around one Gold Bar AND at least a hundred dollars. Players who have put time into the game are rewarded better.

I wish someone would make R* see that they are killing any goodwill this game still has. It was never going to be as big as GTAO but the players are loyal and they seem to be doing their upmost to kill the game.

...but they aren't, we make up less than a fraction of a percentage of the player base. When they finally update RDO groves upon groves of people will pat them on the back and tell them they are the best thing since sliced bread. Rockstar will see it as confirmation that they are doing everything just perfect.

I think it's a joke as well, but we are nothing in their minds - we are freeloaders.

Actions speak louder than words... they want new players to get more sales.

I actually think they are waiting for the game to leave gamepass before they update so people (on xbox) will have to actually buy it to play the update.

Of course I have no idea in reality...

Players who ranked up the role are rewarded slightly better. Players who put serious time in the whole game still aren't.

No offence but I feel you are being pedantic for pedantic sake. I am sorry I didn't choose my words more correctly but at least its a start.

You would think they would have dropped a large update when it dropped on Game Pass to try and get people to drop money on Gold Bars to keep up.

My suspicion is because of QABeta's being updated so much I feel like it will either be a surprise update or we will be getting news within the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking sometime in August? Although this is all speculation so who really knows. This game has so much potential I want to see it succeed.

Something got patched slightly on PC yesterday, I had to authorize some change to be made by the launcher before loading.

It didn't take long, so it was minor.

With no info today we are now literally looking at August, Rockstar announces a DLC a week before release at least, so an announcement next week with a release the friday after that makes it July 31st. That's the earliest date we are going to get, otherwise we are going into August. That's a shame, but we've said that a lot up until now.

Story-mode is my favorite game though, so no I wouldn't delete it because the joke of the online mode isn't up to par. I just don't play online anymore.... free roaming with John is a blast...the world is alive and I still have plenty to do.

How do you know we aren't getting any info today? Newswire hasn't dropped yet. But with that being said, remember that the Moonshiners announcement had its own Tuesday newswire. 

 

Personally I'm not expecting any news today, but we can't count it out just yet. 

 

For everyone upset/disappointed with the bonuses/discounts this week: what kind of bonuses could we get that would actually satisfy you? Seems like it doesn't matter what kind of bonuses they give out, everyone here would still be upset.

 

Most of us have more money any gold than we know what to do with and have already bought everything we want. So getting upset over bonuses and discounts we wouldn't use anyway seems kind of pointless doesn't it? Just my thoughts, of course. I didn't expect any great bonuses this week so there's nothing to be upset about.
