Lawman:

 

- You get your own office (another property)

- In the office you can manage your "employees" to go on "missions" similar to Nightclub in GTAO

- Your own prison cells

- New story missions (like Moonshiner story)

- Instead of bringing in notorious criminals, you need to safe and protect civilianzs

- New free roam dynamic that involves punishing players that break the law (similar to bounty hunters bringing in players with high bounties but more evolved, will work with the Outlaw role in the future)

- 2 new wagons (prison wagon and policemam transport)

- You need to escort prisoners and prevent them being released by NPCs or other players for a reward

- You need to help your fellow lawmen in a shootout and transport them to a gang hideout

- New dynamic events and free roam events

- New protect missions like protecting banks or stores that involve survival gameplay

- New gameplay mechanics "freeze" and handcuffs

- Opportunities to be corrupt or work with criminals for monetary reward (honor)

- Upgrades to your office that involve more prison cells and adding more policeman to go on more missions
- Initially will cost 25 Gold but the cells and policeman upgrades will be around 1k$ and you can add up to 5 cells and 5 policeman working for you

- You can hire/ask your NPC policeman to join you on escort missions for example (like driving the wagon or just protecting it: Shooting everything that attacks you, even players. They are the hardest NPCs to fight.)

- New form of cooperative free roam gameplay that allows any player with the lawman role to help you during free roam missions like escorting prisoners for a small reward

 

So this role can bring some more requested features:

 

More player interaction, more gameplay variety, more things to spend money on and of course: Survivals! But a more advanced form that involves additional goals like preventing property from taking damage or the property owners to die next to trying to stay alive with only one life. Multiple difficult settings like Moonshiner Story (including free aim mission) with optional additional goals for replayability.

 

And of course the first role that allows you and has consequences for being honorable or dishonorable, like R* mentioned in interviews.

true for us here and other hardcore players out there, but I lost all of my casual gaming friends in RDO, they will not come back like in GTAO

So many of their offers seem targeted at newer players: role XP bonuses, discounts on the roles, free ability card. I don't know what their player retention goals are.

Take it with a pinch of salt as this could just be a smart person summing up everything and connecting the dots from the past couple of months, but a new leak that sounds trustworthy (mostly because Yan2295 hasn't debunked it) lines up with what I heard and said the past couple of days/weeks as well (Note that this is not my post and I don't have inside information, I just get to know some info on some things in the rare occasion because I have a few acquaintances in the german games industry. Personally I have no experience in game development or game or console companies and I only know what I share, most is speculation though):

 

Red Dead Redemption 2 will get smart delivery for XBOX Series X, I am almost certain it will be announced on May 7th at the Inside XBOX Event

Red Dead Online had an Update scheduled for last Month, but they had to delay it due to problems with testing and the current pandemic affecting workflows, instead they are merging it into the next one, which should come very soon.

@executor404. Not to say I believe many of those type of leaks until confirmed, but alas that one says they plan to update story mode, it makes it that bit harder to believe, IMHO.

I've not read that thread here yet, I saw the 'protagonist diversity' one in the GTA VI speculation area and couldn't stop as it's pretty hilarious to see what some have to say there.

 

Just find it hard to foresee story DLC given both RDR2 and GTA V did so well without all that extra effort on those modes. But don't get me wrong, I'm one that fears story mode in general get scrapped, so if that is true, it's music to my ears indeed.

GTAV not getting story DLC had more to do with ressources, planning, and the structure of development in general. Often it is about sacrifices or shifting focus and attention to something more urgent. This was GTA Online and the NextGen Versions for GTAV.

 

New RDR2 Singleplayer content isn't out of the question yet though.

 

For GTA6 it seems they really learned from this generation and they will be ready on all fronts: launch, online and story updates. At least this is what they are planning according to everything we've heard.

That's true regarding RDR2 story DLC, though after this long since release and online needing good focus, I expect it'll be a next gen thing if it does happen. But we'll see, would be nice.

 

And I hope they have and do show to have learned much from this generation too. RDRO was where I'd hoped they'd shown to have more after GTA:O and it is disappointing to still be saying 'we'll see' but we shall soon enough as the next DLC here gets nearer and next gen of course.

The least they could have done is release The Outlaw Pass III. It takes no voice acting, no motion capture and would just include outfits and rewards they will have already modelled.

TBH what they can put in OPIII? Sweeteest outfits, like John/Arthur/Sadie BH we already have. We even have Husky for camp. Interesting, they add this dog in Outfitter or if you missed OPII then bye 4ever?

Alot of the outfits from the Single Player gang like Dutch or Bill. Unique items like the massive fur coat, more glasses like Strauss' etc.

How about all of the stuff NPCs wear that players don't get?

This is not an issue if we could transfer from console to Pc. All they had to do was/is so that the PC port can take the profile save from social club and ad to PC

At bare minimum, the Outlaw pass could pick any one of these unused Trinkets with some minor stat increase.  Find one that can be displayed on the player.  It couldn't be any worse than rings (who dafuq can see those in-game while walking past?).
