The  wait from the Spring update to Frontier Pursuits was 119 days. And its been 144 since Moonshiners so yee

It's clear they are struggling coming up with content for event weeks as they've discounted and promoted everything in the past 6 weeks. Zero chance of money bonus's when there is nothing to buy.

whatever other games I have, I always end up coming back to RDO.

Well ppl are getting tired of always the same repetitive event weeks. Who even cares about those event weeks, it only benefits new players. This game feels abandoned and the time between updates are too big. Also the communication from R* is just trash.

The event weeks do become a bit repetitive especially this early in the development of the online portion where options are limited. I just couldn’t see playing any other games for an extended period and certainly not enough to need to delete the entire game. 
 

I always welcome the event weeks that attempt to increase the new player count and also remember how helpful they were when I actually needed the discounts. There should at least be a small detail included for higher ranked players every other week. 
 

One thing that always helped me with never feeling finished with the online portion was never using the collector maps. Still have collections to explore for and items to grind towards. Even if they are useless clothing and camp themes.

Unrelated to skipping the article number but related to Game Pass:

 

I heard R* will be part of Inside Xbox this Thursday. Maybe some of you should tune in. Even without R* this should be interesting for everyone, as we will see NextGen gameplay from 3rd party.

 

EDIT: Could just be part of the GamePass update.

 

EDIT#2: For those thinking this isn't possible because R* has deal with Sony: The only contractual obligation R* has with PlayStation right now is monthly exclusive bonuses or timed-exclusive content for Red Dead Online. Other than that R* is open for new marketing contracts for other projects (e.g. NextGen enhancements for RDR2).

1, They'd be a bit daft to not care, IMHO. Every player gone is one less potential gold customer and as T2 are focussed on the recurring spending over all else, it can hurt their quarterly targets and see investors get grumpy if it becomes too many.

 

2, Subjective through taste of course, but yeah, mostly because I've only got a 500gb PlayStation and with games like RDR2, GTA, and Gran Turismo alone, those games take up so much space, lol. I can only get Minecraft installed with those 3 games installed as, at least with Gran Turismo, I need to keep X amount of free space for that games updates. For now I've got the 3d GTA's installed again while this mess awaits serious TLC.

 

Like you though, I can't help but be drawn back to R*'s games, so I'll soon reinstall this as I love the story mode. That said, for me because if the freedom of choice, GTA:O is my main game still. Quite amazed how that much older game still pisses over this new one for content and everything really. It's a broken mess too of course, but so easy to ignore many issues because of those choices and how much other content there is if some aspects are messed up and awaiting fixes.

 

If the current pandemic is causing delays in creating content for both RDR and GTA, at least GTA has plenty to vary the weekly events with too. It really highlights how thin things are over here in RDRO, unfortunately.

If they cant setup RDO for sustainability this year its over unfortunately. GTA 6 is looming large and I don't care how many employees Rockstar has that game will be the #1 priority.

 

There is a very real risk of the player base cratering and not coming back to RDO after this long drought.

Thanks to the findings of Fun2, we now know that there is the possibility for an update to the moonshiner role in the form of some new gameplay.

We know from leaks and interviews that legendary animals could be added as well as updates to the collector with new collections and unique items that require the help of posse.

 

So R* didn't lie when they said they plan to update existing roles in the future.

 

For the next update I expect a bunch of improvements and additions to existing roles that will surprise people.

 

Moonshiner - New event

Trader - Legendary Animals

Collector - New collections and items

- Bounty Hunter - BH Wagon customization?

 

And more...

Fisherman Role anybody? Lawman? Photographer?

 

Could the next update be bigger than expected?

 

Leaks of new dynamic events and ability cards, as well as recent findings like potential moonshiner enhancements at least give the impression of a big update coming early June.

There is zero chance the new outlaw pass will be 100 gold, it would completely alienate any new players coming to the game or returning players.

 

instead of increasing the price of things why not just provide us with more things to buy. Sounds like a much more reasonable solution.

He is right, as much as people complained about the game before the Casino dropped in GTA it still had record numbers and the numbers for Casino Heist broke that record again. Its a R* game, they will always draw in the crowds.

 

I just hope that it's not gonna be next gen before we get properties.
