Polenstoffdioxid
Hi, my GTA V (no steam) crashes everytime I try to start it. (ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT) if I try to start an older version (without patchday20 & christmas2018) in offline mode, it works. CRASHLOG : https://hastebin.com/jeyaxilofa.sql I already tried things like changing DX-Version, re-installing game, (updated/re-installed drivers, direct-x, c++ restributables, .NET framework 3.5). I was in the rockstar support 2x already. First time they told me to reinstall, but it didnt worked. Than the second time they told my to do a "clean install, because a third-party software cause this crash". But which 3rd party software can cause this crash? (already uninstalled OpenIV etc.) Can anyone help me out?

There is no way to tell which mod is causing the issue because well we don't know what mods you have installed and unless we have all of the same exact mods there is no way to tell. So you're the only choice is to either remove or add one mod at a time until you've eliminated the one causing the issue it's a pain in the ass but the process of elimination is the only way to figure it out because one of your mods haven't been updated to work with the recent updates But before you do all of that try THESE SOLUTIONS Or THIS ONE Edited January 20, 2019 by AiraCobra

And: If you would have read my post carefully you would know that I already tried these solutions.

You're using OpenIV which means you're using mods even if it's only graphical in nature they can still cause issues but you just said which third-party software is causing the crash, As I said my answer still stands we don't know which one is causing the issue unless you actually tell us which ones you're using. As for trying all the fixes offered in those pages I provided you didn't mention any of them you and I quote Quote I already tried things like changing DX-Version, re-installing game, (updated/re-installed drivers, direct-x, c++ restributables, .NET framework 3.5). While the pages I linked you to tell you to....Only one of which you mention which is reinstalling Direct X Update your graphics driver Disable any overlay applications Reinstall DirectX from within the GTA folder Change the in-game DirectX version to 10 or 10.1 Change the DirectX value to 0 None of which you mention trying in your thread you only mentioned contacting support and what they told you to do

I UNINSTALLED OpenIV as I mentioned in my first post. I was again in the rockstar support, they told me "Cheat Engine" would cause the problem. But Cheat Engine can't cause the problem because I didnt used it for months and there are no processes in the background which use "cheat engine". And I already reinstalled GTA V once.
