hyg45
I decided to give up on modding but I don't know how to. I used a IMGTool, like I stated in my previous thread, to replace files with the original files in the gta.3 folder and I don't know how to remove them and return it back to normal. I really need help with this and I would appreciate if someone could help me out with this issue and tell me if it's savable or not..
Mysterdogg
@hyg45, the only way to restore modded files such as an IMG file into its original state, is by using the backed up files, unfortunately as you said in your previous topic: On 1/15/2019 at 8:33 PM, hyg45 said: I didn't make a back up folder for original .txd and .dff files, (or whatever needed to be backed up) because I didn't know I had to do that. With that in mind, I can only suggest you look in the web for the files you need, reinstall your game or ask for somebody to send you the files via PM. I can help you if you want, just message me when the function it's unlocked for you. Use Modloader to avoid the need to rebuild IMG files. Here's a good tutorial for learning how to use it. This is also a good collection of guides & hints about modding the game. hyg45

I'll try it out some time and I'll let you know if it worked or not. 6 hours ago, DragonSC said: You can find the original gta3.img on Internet I think... hyg45
Also one more question I might ask, if I was planning on getting it fixed, or getting another v1 copy, how do I back up the files? Is it just copying the San Andreas folder or something entirely different?
Mysterdogg
Yes, as simply as copying the files, @hyg45
'stote
I suggest to you to reinstall the game and make a copy so that when the game crashes after installing a mod you can easily find the backup file
