Boozey St John

RDR2 DLC Speculation Thread

1. Prologue to Redemption 2. Basically, a West Elizabeth chapter that leads to the ferry robbery.

2. 1907-1911 DLC. We don't play with John Marston because he settled in his ranch and lived a normal life. Instead we play with another outlaw and witness the developments in New Austin, from the recovery of Armadillo, complete abandonment of Tumbleweed, to the rise of the Bill Williamson gang and opening the borders with Mexico.

3. Sadie DLC. Bounty Hunting and her own adventures sometime between 1900 and 1907.

4. Charles DLC. Natives-focused and his own adventures sometime between 1900 and 1907.

5. Another story with new characters that have nothing to do with Dutch's gang. Think of it as a new Red Dead game that just uses the assets of Redemption 2. It'd still be small and released as DLC.

The last option seems more logical & realistic , let Sadie & Charles stay chillin in the sunset unless you want them killed off as well lol

I Like Fun

I think there might be a Sadie DLC. She feels like she still has some story left plus there is a lot of demand for it if you look at comments on youtube and they would get some points for having a female protagonist. If they do SP dlc I think that is the most likely.

This could also essentially be a Javier DLC, considering how little we saw of him in the main campaign. Here, it would be beneficial to see his (and Bill's) personality changes reinforced much like John's personality evolves in the epilogue- but in this case perhaps towards negative traits.

It could start off in 1900 with Bill and Javier fleeing to New Austin, with Javier falling in with the Del Lobos for a period of time while Bill sets up his gang- all while seeing the region evolve toward its RDR1 resemblance. The second half in 1907-onwards could see Javier returning to Mexico and setting up his connections, meeting Dutch again, and finally joining the Mexican army as a representation of the 180-degree his character has taken from his former revolutionary self.

RDR2 DLC ideas/wishlist

-prologue to RDR2: before Blackwater

-prologue to RDR1: the events before first game

-Cowboys and Aliens: I highly doubt the possibility of a zombie apocalypse considering the UFO easter eggs

-Jack Marston DLC: Following Jack between 1911-1914, or after killing Edgar Ross. Showing how Jack went from a quiet kid to gunslinger

-RDR1 remaster: (possible but not likely)

-something similar to the episodes from liberty city: following another character either before or after the events of RDR2 or between chapter 6 and the epilogue

This is the DLC I've been hoping for long before the game even came out.

Rockstar gave me some with their UFO related Easter eggs in the base game... but we'll have to wait and see, building up too much hope over some Easter eggs is probably not a good idea.

I would want a Sadie dlc. And if they are going to release a Undead nightmare i can see them doing it around Halloween.

This. It’s a great way to tie up the remaining gaps in what happens to the surviving gang members between the two games. And add Mexico to the map, making a remaster of the original a low cost additional production.

Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare II

Story Spoilers - Read at your own risk.

Spoiler

Set after the events of RDRII but not the epilogue with Arthur being dead. He is brought back as a Vampire by as-of-yet unknown means. The first shot is of the DLC is his grave at night and a withered hand bursts out of the ground follow by an emaciated Arthur climbing out of the ground and stumbling around with a look of utter horror and confusion on his face.

You then get control of Arthur but the screen keeps fading in and out with the sound a heartbeat pounding. You then stumble across a man walking his dog and you are given the choice to feed on him or the dog (pull on them heart strings) to which Arthur is horrified. If you feed on the dog the man runs off leading to consequences down the line and Arthur passes out. He wakes up later to find the suns rays creeping towards him and causing his hand to burn which he quickly snatches away from the sun and hides under a rocky outcrop/cave. He then hears voices (Either a Posse looking for Arthur or a Posse looking for the missing man) They don't recognise you as a Vampire as the blood you drank has nourished your and triggered your healing factor so you look normal.

They ask you if you have seen anything and Arthur lies and says no but asks for a ride back to Van Horn which he gets and the story begins which is basically a Vampire outbreak has begun with people being turned into "ghouls" which are either badly or partially resurrected Vampires and Arthur needs to "find his Maker" and put an end to the outbreak.

Saint Denis is a fortified city where the rich have barricaded themselves and lead a decadent lifestyle and the rest of the states are left to fend for themselves.

Micah is a "hero" who used the money he stole to set up his own "Vampire Hunting" gang but really he is using it as an excuse to rob and fleece scared people and kill anyone he deems a "Vampire".

Sadie and John have taken Abigail, Jack, Tilly and the rest of the Gang back to Adler Ranch as the Ghouls don't do well in the cold and end up freezing so they are reasonably safe. This also acts as the "Gangs Camp" and has the snowy area used more.

Charles is a f*cking badass Vampire Slayer (Think The Tyranny of King Washington Connor from AC3 with the wolf head hood and sh*t)

Dutch has restyled himself as a prophesied Messiah and has a cult that follows him (Think The Father from FC5)

The game would use the Cores system for Arthurs feeding instead of food. Arthur becomes more underweight the less he feeds and becomes bloated when he overfeeds. Eagle Vision becomes "Predator Vision" but instead of slowing down Arthur it simple slows down the world and Arthur stays the same speed and gains increased strength and he heals which drains his health core.

Bounty Hunters become Vampire Hunters who will attack Arthur if he is seen "doing Vampire stuff" and regular Law is handled by Posses.

Arthur hears of a group that matches Sadies and Johns description and when he hears where they are he knows its them so he sets off and is at first met with fear and is shot multiple times by John with one shot blowing off part of his face and we are treated to a cutscene showing his face regenerating to everyone's horror. Arthur eventually manages to convince them after alot of time that his mind is still his own and he means them no harm. This leads to Sadie and John (and eventually Charles) joining him on adventures across the map meeting old and new faces to find answers.

Micah and his gang are the primary antagonists and Micah now rules over Saint Denis in place of Angelo Bronte as its Crimelord.

The DLC ends with Arthur finding out that a Meteorite has landed and the radiation is what is resurrecting the dead by mutating them and allowing them to spread the Vampirism. Only those directly affected by the radiation become a true Vampire and those bitten and turned become Ghouls. Arthur has the unique ability to raise Ghouls from corpses he feeds on that will attack anything including him. Rains Falls was the one who resurrected Arthur using a fragment of the Meteor that fell years ago (He chose not to ressuerct his son because he knew what would happen if Eagle Fly's was given supernatural powers and it is against his peoples traditions)

At the end Arthur has the choice to remain a Vampire or to cure himself and return to being Human.

Damn that was longer and more detailed than I planned. It might need its own topic. What say you?

did you create this idea? or is it some kind of leaked info floating around? either way it does sound very cool. and i love the idea of micah still being the bad guy but at the same time convincing people he is good. anything with my favorite character in it should be awesome. i personally would love to have a micah dlc where we play as him. but im sure that will probably never happen.

i like it, very well thought out but id change the ending. how could arthur become a normal human again after being completely dead? instead id make the ending that arthur would continue being a vampire or that he would sacrifice himself to rid more of the vampires/ghouls. this would be more impactful and the decision would feel heavier. youd then play as charles and would go around clearing off the rest of the infected

last night i decided to do another playthrough of undead nightmare. i felt like playing red dead but i wanted to play some rdr 1. i have not gotten very far. i just beat the armadillo mission where you meet the undead deputies. but even just playing it for an hour or two. it made me realize how badly i want a singleplayer dlc for red dead redemption 2. it was just so fun to play it again. in fact i have not played it for a year or two because of that stupid headless zombie glitch. and i encountered it again last night. i really wish they would fix it. but other than that it was so refreshing to play something different in the red dead series. i know it is very unlikely that they will make another one. but hey you never know. its just such a shame how rockstar cares more about online. i mean sure multiplayer is fun. but when they add story missions to it. it ruins the experience. i dont want to have to worry about other players. i dont have many friends. so randoms can be a problem. and even when i do play with friends. sometimes they talk over the cutscene and dialogue. and i like listening to it. because i enjoy the story part of it. the other players usually dont. i just want a new story to play without the hassle of other players. and its such a shame that rockstar cant see that there is a bunch of people that want this.

I made a whole DLC concept revolving around Javier and Bill a few months ago. If had bothered to search for this thread first I would have posted it here. I'm pretty proud of it but I kind of rushed the end a little.

https://gtaforums.com/topic/927081-dlc-concept-long/?tab=comments#comment-1070697213

I'm currently working on one revolving around Dutch in my head at the moment. I'll share it here when It's done.

I would really prefer a DLC that is somewhat canonical and less comic than another undead nightmare. But no need to actually talk about this at all since we know the time for R* DLCs is way past. It is like the song that Pearson sings about the end of the era of elk, buffalo and beaver traps and how that time will never come back.

If I had to make an educated and realistic guess:

- Undead Nightmare / Supernatural add on

- RDR1 remaster

RDR1 remaster might be next gen/pc only, to ensure a lot of players make the jump to rebuy the game...

If I can add unrealistic hopes:

a rescale of 2-2.5x the current map for next gen consoles, which gives the game more 'space' between locations. I really miss the marshes, steppes and lost feeling. Btw: the small bayou simply doesn't cut it for me...

Otherwise a map expansion of the already meshed regions of the map.

Man. This makes me sad.... why?... Because its so damn good and unique and since its fan fic I know it'll never happen 😭

Glad you liked it. I would love a Vampire themed DLC in the same vein as Undead Nightmare. Campy yet serious.

I would love to see a horror/cult DLC. Think of possible strange rituals, sacrifices, possible cannibalism. I would love a murder-mystery where you are hired by a village to investigate the disappearance of of locals. Have an evil cult got them? Some leads bring you to villagers that have just runaway, turning to alcohol and crime. As the story unravels, you start to unearth that the village is just as dysfunctional and scary as the cult those of the village claim losts ones are. Over time you start to question if there even is a cult or if some of the village elders are making stories up to cover their own tracks.

So do you really think the sp dlc will actually happen? This online is butt cheeks and no amount of updates are going to bring me back, would love to play in this world again though with these amazing characters.

This is one of the best games in years, it's a work of art. The story, amazing characters and a sublime open world that has a huge heart. There is such high demand for this expansion. I really hope Rockstar delivers.

Reminder that this is the "RDR2 DLC speculation thread" and not the "LuL RDR2 SP DLC isn't coming noobs" thread.

There's no need to derail the topic into that sort of discussion.

I've said before that I'd love ANY DLC, certainly, but sort of hope they avoid the zombie thing. IMHO, it's just played out.

Love @RyuNova's ideas. Very creative! Given the supernatural elements in RDR2, the alien and occult stuff, R* could go in a lot of different directions. But please, no zombies.

So, what do you all make of this?

Probably nothing...

Woooooow yes this is definitely interesting. Feel like it screams that SOMETHING is happening at least.

Speaking of a second undead nightmare:

Imagine if we could skin zombies and bring them to the trapper to make some cool zombie clothes for Arthur.
